  1. Had the Beretta Sub 2000 and got to looking at all I had not being shot; so I sold it.   Now lately, been thinking that the Glock version might not be too bad to have.    It just never ends.
  2.   Anytime, my friend, anytime.   I understand how all these firearms just continuously call out "Take me, take me." It's difficult to resist.   But fortunately(?), I have a wife that understands my problems and usually doesn't comment on the things I bring in.
  3. Thanks, MacGyver. That's the type of information again I needed. I did think of the cartridge length issues, but the threads on sites other than here, didn't speak to that.   I have loaded mags and manually chambered rounds thru them in RIA 1911 with some Colt and Taurus 38Super mags successfully manually ejecting them without issue.   But not actually tried firing them yet. That will be the ultimate test.   Although in general, I'm not fond of Kimber mags; I'm beginning to think more and more of buying some 9mil specific mags.
  4. Congratulations on making the decision. This will be only the first of many to come. I assure you of that. But go into every decision you make with an open mind, research the possibilities, and I'm sure you will do well.
  5.   SUCKER!!!   Just had to buy one, didn't you. Well now you pay the price for it. You will be buying Glock after Glock to keep the high going.    You'll be broke and in the dumpster in no time at all. You'll have to buy extra packs just to carry all the G crap around in. You'll worry about how to get around caryring all that stuff or where you can leave it whiie you attempt to reconcile with your wife.   You'll be worse off than you ever thought possible...So...let me help you avoid all that pain and grief. Just bring me the KT. Problem solved.   I'll keep it with all mine.
  6. Now that's the kind of feedback I was looking for!  Thanks cjOe.   That's pretty much been my thoughts and plans, but just thought someone here might have done this or been with someone who had and have some insight on it.
  7. I like it.   But I think I lived that story a few years back.
  8. No other comments?   I did expect to hear something from the more experienced shooters and smiths here.
  9. Recently picked up a 9mm 1911 from Glock-n-Load, and while researching the platform, I ran across several comments on other forums indicating that the 1911 38Super mags could be used for the 9mm. I'd like to hear from the more knowledgable guys on this. I have several mags for the 38super and wondered if this was true, feasible, or advisable? Thanks for the comments.
  10. My personal opinion is that is the awnser to the question no one knows or will ever ask. That is one buttugly rifle.
  11. Small backstrap for me on all my M&Ps. It fits my medium/small hands well and allows a good full finger joint crossover to get my preferred grip.
  12. Now that's something to worry about. I have to have one occasionally. After losing the Dong Dongs and Ho Hos, no Heath Blizzard would be the worst.
  13. As I have several Springers, and no experience with STI, I'd go with the Springfield.
  14. How could anything possibly be worse The Thing With Two Heads? That ranks up there with Plan 9 and Swamp Shark, which I did see.   I seem to find the worst possible movies just at the time my wife comes home. And I must watch them. It's an addiction.   Bad movies, especially almost anything from the SyFy channel can be so campy they are fun to watch.   And the Canadian production teams seem to find the worst actors in the world to use for all these films. In fact, I think the same 50 or so of them do all the SyFy movies.
  15.   Yeah, right about the time I become a 180lb lean and trim 30 year old again.
  16.   I figured some of us would get the reference. I might watch the replay this week just to see how bad it is.
  17. Thank you for the comments. It was my pleasure. Really enjoyed the meeting and the range time. But really didn't like getting smoked with my own guns though.
  18. Darn. You beat me to it! Had the same thoughts. Wonder when we can get Ding Dongs again. The cakes you gutterminds!
  19. Congratulations on the find. It's always great to find that "unicorn" after a long search. Hope it pleases you more than my Gen 3 does for me.
  20. SHARKNADO!!!

    Kimber Solo

Is it as bad as a Nano? I simply hated mine because of the harshness of shooting it.

    GOT BRAINS!?

Only thing that would make this better....the ice breaks while he's kneeling there.
