  1. OK, I'll be the oddball here. The Ruger SR556 is really nice, and I may get one later. But I kinda like the Sig M400, and I'm really diggin' the Sig 556R. I'm really having to think of good reasons not to go after them both. Aside from the obvious cost, that is. What you think on these?
  2.   I just knew someone would go there....as soon as I hit post. I just knew it. :squint:
  3.   Caster, if you have time, could you post a pic of your G19 with the added beavertail? I've heard of these, but never seen one. Might just be something I'd be interested in.
  4.   Same here on the sights. I have green TG H-3 on my 19. Had them installed before I left the shop with it. Maybe not the best for everyone, but they work for me and my purposes.
  5. PM incoming. I'll tell you of my NFA experience.
  6.   Great advice. He should have listened to you.
  7. I'm not quite at Caster's pointof view yet, but...   Over the last few years I have come to believe that the Glock line of pistols are about the best alround pistol you can buy. For multi purpose guns, easlly cleaned and maintained, for me it's become one of my favorite guns.   Now lest you think me too strange...I must admit a certain fondness growing for the M&P line as well. I will not comment that one is better than the other, but the Shield 9 is pretty darn good. Wore it as my carry yesterday and was well pleased with it.   Must admit that I need a new and better holster for it though. It  kept rubbing on my hip when I sat.
  8. Just hold it under the fawcet for a few seconds to wash it off, sling off the excess water, stuff it back in your pants and go on.
  9.   The sunglasses are about the only thing I could like about her.
  10. Raoul pretty much summed it up. I've had 4 or 5 MkII and III pistols at different times. Will get one in a trade or buy one somewhere if I run into a great price. Will have to say the 22/45 is my personal favorite, but won't turn down any of them. I think I have 3 now plus the SR22, but you really just can't go wrong with a Ruger.
  11. Thanks, Vero1. I found his earlier ads as well, but nothing else. I swear there was something recent as well. Maybe we are both demented. But thanks for looking.
  12. OK...a little more information. Think it was a vendor offering Gen3 models for <500 each. Does no one remember who it was?   Looking to possibly buy 2 G19 models for a couple of young lady shooters as house/carry guns. Both are relatives of mine and have some shooting experience, so the G19 would be appropriate for them.   Not looking to resell or profit from this. I am personally wanting to purchase these and gift them to my family.   Any info would be appreciated.
  13. Ok, I'm officially a dummy. Can't remember who. And can't find the posted thread.   Anyone remember who was selling the gen 3 glock pistols on here recently?
  14. Good morning's work there, buddy. And a nice clean shot too,
  15. How about a little information on this guy. I have a female family member that I'm planning on sending and paying for her cc class.
  16. Yeah, wouldn't that make a hellaofa ticket?
  17. Great job Whitewolf. I really like the story and will continue to follow it and you.
  18. Kinda wish there was an alternative to Bass Pro around here. Yes I know we have Academy and Dickies, but some new places to visit would be nice,
  19. Yep. The 0350 was and is my first ZT. Won't be my last.   Love the "flipper" if it is any easier to open with the torsion bar removed, I won't be able to stand it.    My only complaint is that it's a little bigger than I really wanted, do I'll have to look at some of the other models.

    SR1911

Good choice you made. The more I see of the Remington line, the more tempted I am for another 1911.
  21. Tanker, I will remember you and your family in my prayers. God Bless you, be strong for the family.
  22.   Amen, Brother. There's probably someone working on that right now.
  23. WOW!  Just wow. That's about all I can say after listening to it all.
  24.   My RIA is a single stack model, but still good to know it works for you.     Now that interesting hear. Did you have the Kimber mags initially? I was looking at the Metalform mags since  I had reservations about the Kimbers. Those concerns stem from owning 2 Kimber 1911 45s and having feeding problems with the factory mags.  Changed to Wilson and McCormick mags and removed all problems.    Were the 38Super mags Kimber or Metalform?    And if I might ask, what would you recommend for this Rock Island 9mm, magwise?   And just for clarification here, I haven't owned a RIA or a 1911 FS in 9mm before. So this is all very new territory for me.
