  1. Yep. I found these shells in an old shoebox in his garage, in a metal cabinet. The cardboard is a little dry and stiff, but boxes are clean and intact. The shells look like new, so I don't really have any fear of them. I wish I'd kept them, but I found a couple of boxes of 45 military ball at the same time. They were marked Milsurp 1950. I took them and ran them in his old Remington Rand 1911, with the predictable results. They all went bang. Stored well, good ammo keeps for quite a while.
  2. Hmmm. I have I think about 10 boxes of Winchester 16 guage that my Dad had for his Browning Sweet 16. They should be in that age range as well, and look pretty good. Might clean up the ol' 16 and give them a try,

    MY Niece ;)

That's pretty good thinking. Get a contract with'em early and hold'em to it.
  4. As a novice at AR shooting, I really appreciate your story. That kind of information surely will help.
  5.   Ouch.     Zinger.
  6. Seeing those grips really makes me want to upgrade the standard ones on my 75B. The wood grips are just so much better looking.
  7.    Sorry, left the ammo comment off. As of Wednesday, he had no ammo for it.
  8.     Philip at Bellshire Hardware/Guns has one in stock. Roughly 670 total price I believe.
  9. The guys above me have all said it better than I can. But I'll try...You guys are amazing.   May God Bless and Keep your family always.
  10. Good lookin' pistol! Be sure to post a report on it.
  11.   Hurts, don't it? My wife has done it to me quite a few times.
  12. Now you got it! Roadrunners -- Nightcrawlin'   My skills at utube are non-existant.
  13. Actually...a different RoadRunners. Can't find an example right now, but the ones I mean do more "Blues Brothers" style. In fact, just got another CD( yeah, I know. I'm outdated) today...The Roadrunners---Rythem Rockin Blues. Recorded at the Three Little Pigs Studio, here in Nashville.
  14. I own several M&P pistols and have had only one issue with any of them. One of my Shields required a little break-in period, about 200-250 rounds. I had multiple FTF and FTE events. Thought about sending it back to Smith, but decided to keep firing and see what happened.   FWIW, I'm cheap; I'd been running 115gr thru it. Switched over to some 124gr and a few mags of +P and it cleared right up. It is very accurate, has a good trigger for me, and I won't part with mine. It's a definite keeper.
  15.   Man, that's quite an image....I just hope I can shake it out of my mind.
  16. I don't know which of you guys is wackier.   Everyone knows you use indoor/outdoor carpet for neck sheaths.
  17. You guys make me feel sooo old. I'm listening to a cd of the Roadrunners; a fast-paced blues recording from the late "90's. It was recorded at the 3rd and Lindsey Bar and Grill. Pretty good stuff.
  18. Since Mike357 isn't here to say it...I'll do it for him.   DUMBASS!!
  19.   Sounds about right for me as well. We have a Border Collie/Heeler mix and she is awesome. Much smarter than me anyway.     Absolutely right!
  20. I'm in for a lower, maybe an upper as well.
  21. For what it's worth, I have a Rossi in 44 Special and it's a pretty good little piece.
  22. The first time I saw Charlie and the band, Uneasy Rider had just been released and was beginning to get some air play. He was playing at a Chili Cook-off in the field that became Metro Center. That's been a long time back.   I feel old after saying that.
  23. Charlie puts on a tremendous show. I've been able to see him perform live several times in the last or so years and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time.   And you just have to admire a man of conviction that is not afraid to voice his beliefs publicly as well as privately.
  24. Way to go, Rep. Hunt!
