As one who has had eardrums rebuilt from nerve tissue while in my teens; I cannot caution you enough to be very, very careful with any Q-tip or similar product. Yes, I have used them, but very gently and not deeply. I don't want to undergo any more surgeries. My ENT suggest that if I just had to clean my ears myself; a little warm hydrogen peroxide in the ear canal while lying on my side for a couple of minutes. Then sit up and let it drain out and VERY Cautioulsy and slowly swab the outer ear with the q-tips for gentle cleanup. Anyway, it works for me.

Got something I have been wanting for a very long time

From postings here, and what I hear from others; it's still hit or miss on finding ammo in stores. Some have it. Some don't. Prices seem to be all over the board. I wouldn't drive to the Outpost from my home unless I was totally out of ammo. Thankfully I'm not, yet. Hoping, like others; to get a little as it comes available at a reasonable price. But thanks very much for the comments on finding some. -
Best part about this was when all the next popups led me to the Family Feud clips with Steve Harvey.

Congratulations on the PMR! I love mine. I think you'll be very happy with it. And you got the tan/FDE model! Now you need a black and a grey one to go with it. Seriously though, I do like the pistol. Great range gun and very fun to play with. Don't have as much love for loading the mags though. Getting the last 5 or so rounds in can be a real test of your thumbs and patience with some of the mags though. Evidently not all are that tough, but mine are. As far as ammo, mine seems to like the CCI and Hornady best. But runs anything I put thru it. Pretty accurate too. Maybe not a completion gun, but good. And yes, mine still has the occasional keyhole/tumbling round. Even after the barrel swap that was supposed to cure it. I'm not downing the little pistol at all, I've had several offers to buy mine; but I choose to keep it. I like it enough not to want to pay some of the high prices that a lot of dealers think they are worth should I have to replace it. And I sure would regret if I sold it. I have about 430 or so in mine as I got it just as the hype and the prices went up. Are the dealers and KT still recommending not to use the Fiochi 22mag rounds? I haven't heard lately. That was supposedly the reason for the initial keyholing issues, When I first started looking at the PMR, I started buying ammo for it. Then at 10-14 a box. Then bought several 500 round bricks of the Fiochi at a really good price. Then the comments against Fioch started and I went to CCI, Hornady, and Winchester; trying to get a couple every time I went to WallyWorld. Sure glad I did that! Anyway, Congrats again. Glad you got it. -

1280 lbs according to my papers, bolted down, And no idea how heavy loaded. Must be at least 50 lbs heavier. -
Dennis, that could enter into the decision as well. I run 45acp M/W/F. T/Th/S is9mm. Sunday I split the difference and go with 40.

Thanks, Leroy. Just further proof that the end goal is to allow anyone to vote, and as many times as they want.....as long as it's a Dem/Lib. And will certainly be helpful if all the soon to be of voting age "immigrant" children born in the US can vote without any form of ID. I wonder who they'd vote for?

Well said, Robert. But I'd like to add one comment to yours. Seems to me that a lot of this "being insulted" is just an excuse to sue and have an "easy paycheck." Crudely put, but I think relevant to your interpretation. -

Seems to be working for me. But what do I know. -
Depends on the room in the house I'm in. Usually a handgun with high intensity light attached. Favor 185 gr, 45 round with big hollow cavity in the nose. You know...the fabled flying ashtray.

Thank you, Twin. I'll check into this.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I did look at the 516 and 716 today. Both great rifles. Were I in the market for another 556, I'd go with Sig's 516 cerakoted magpul edition. And I guess I'm a wimp, not really interested in getting a 308 chambered rifle, at least not at this time. But I did commit to the 556R today, we will talking about a possible trade on it as well. And to settle something...it most definitely is a "want" not a need. I've been bouncing this around for about a month now. Couldn't walk away from it, so I guess I gotta do something about it now.

A testament to 2 things... ...the idiocy of some people....and the reliability and durability of the AK.

To quote Billy Joel..."Only the Good die Young" Prayers for family and friends.

Haven't looked at the 716, JohnC. Just happened to be in a lgs and ran across the 2 I mentioned. Guess I'll have to do some more looking. But the more I think about the 556R....I think I'm gonna have it.

Tragic loss in the shooting community
hipower replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
My condolences to all family and friends of Mr. Lee. Although I didn't have the pleasure of knowing this gentleman, I can see that he was much appreciated and his loss to the shooting community will leave some very large shoes to fill. My prayers to his family. -

Steel, look like LawEnforcementSalesTn has some pretty good advice. That's what my brother-in-law and I have talked about doing with my 9mm Colt. Maybe someday we'll get around to it. -
Same here. Love it man. Wish it were mine. But just can't put that much into it. My sincerest congratulations on it. May it always be a range toy for you is my wish. But...just in case that isn't the situation...You'll be very well prepared.
