  1. Wow. Just unbelievable.
  2. Love to see the further adventures of this crew.
  3. Both Great!!
  4. Wow. I'm stunned... and very impressed.
  5. Congratulations to you sir. And my condolences to your bride.   Just joking. I know it takes two people working hard to stay together these days. Very glad to see you've made it.
  6. If I've ever thought about self-testing one of these...I sure won't now.   Sorry to laugh so much at the story...but it's just so funny.
  7. There was a recall on some of the "F" models as well in the last year. Similar issues and some comments about safeties that could allow a fire when dropped. After reading several very long discussions on different forums; I decided to send my F model back for a full refund. Took a while, but I did receive the refund.
  8. Good work!
  9.   Very well said, Caster. You summed it up nicely.
  10. I'd go for it. Don't think...just do. No more model 30 being manufactured, but the LCP is still going.
  11. First, Thank You for your Service, mse9.   Secondly, I really agree with your assessment of this situation. It's a terrible shame that the values that motivated and created this country are being so thoroughly cast aside by our leadership, both civilian and military.   I really wish I didn't see the writing on the wall, but it's getting clearer by the minute.   We are on the verge of a great fall, and I really don't see very much likelihood of averting it.
  12. Started driving my first car when gas was 21 cents/gallon. Could buy a full set of tires for 100 bucks and less. Could take a girl to a movie, get a couple of Mickey D's burger meals and still have a couple of bucks left from a 10 to fill the gas tank, go crusing around all nite and go parking. Damn I feel old.

    New pistols

Nice combo. I think you'll like them both. Maybe even add the 9c to the mix.   I like my Shield very much, but of the 3, I have to say I prefer shooting the 9 compact. Just has a better feel to me. But the Shield still leads as a great carry option.
  14. Had a few FTE issues with mine at first. Couldn't get thru a mag without one. I was running 115 gr at the time. Tried some 124 Lawman and it cleared up immediately. Maybe after a few 100 more rounds, I'll try the 115 again. But love the gun. Closest for me anyway, to the "almost perfect carry 9."
  15. On the face of it, sounds like a more than fair trade for you, at least to me. I think you've pretty much covered all the essential points on both sides here. But just to play devil's advocate; I personally would keep the Sig as I'm not a fan of the G26/27 subcompacts. No reason other than the size.   But if you want/need a duty backup; it doesn't seem like anything but a win to me. JMO.
  16. I know I'm gonna sound like Dave Ramsey here, but keep copies of all your dealings with the collectors. Ask for and keep a statement of your terms and agreement with them BEFORE you pay it. And get names of all parties involved in this arrangement...with signed and dated copies from these people.   And keep it forever! This just might pop up to haunt you again.

    Best Custom 1911

I've seen several of the Hero 1911 pistols, but that's the sharpest one yet. Beautiful handgun sir. And a pretty good firing photo as well.
  18. I have never lost a door. However...I might have committed a few lingering glances.
  19. Thanks for the concern. Unfortunately. this is a deja vu situation for us. Had it in 2010 as well.
  20. Bill the Cat and Opus both say "PPPHHHHFFFFTTTT!"
  21. Thanks, My wife and I needed some humor this morning. We're cleaning up from Thursday morning's flooding. Garage and workshop are a disaster, yard is a veritable dump site. Basically a huge mess and amount of cleanup. But we're ok compared to others in the area.
  22. That's great, Dennis. I don't go and search as much anymore. If I'm in a WM, I'll check, but that's about it for me. I have a fair supply, but would like to have more in reserve.
  23. Gun City?? NO, Never, and Jeeze Louise...Uh Uh.
  24. Interesting design here. Not really a fan of iwb carry, but looks more comfortable than most I've seen. And I like the idea of a double clip model as well.
