Covenant Shooting In Nashville. Did I Miss Something?
Hozzie replied to Moped's topic in General Chat
In the past I suspect many of us would probably agree in not releasing the information. The problem today is that no one trusts anything they are told and for good reason. Most intelligent people want to make up their own mind on the 'value' and interpretation of information, but that is more and more being taken away from us giving the perception that something is being hidden. Right or wrong, perception is reality now and the only way to combat it is for complete transparency as hard as that may be for those involved. On the other side, some people are just nosy and need to take a step back and really ask themselves, 'how does this affect me in any real, appreciable way?' If the answer is it doesn't, then move along. -
Covenant Shooting In Nashville. Did I Miss Something?

Very enlightening (not). Stop them before they do it. What a novel idea. Seems to me to just be another veiled attempt to push an agenda. No idea on whether there was a gun or not, but we will never know the real story. -
Woodworking is a bit like guns, you kind of have to find your niche. You can do it all, but doing it all well becomes expensive and honestly it takes a lot of time to do it well. Some guys like to build very detailed items like boxes, some like to build furniture, some like to turn, etc. I personally don't consider building things like Garden Boxes, etc woodworking, but more carpentry (which is perfectly ok), but for me woodworking is really about being precise. I have built everything from high end boxes using expensive routing jigs to large items like beds, dressers, etc. I enjoyed it and have had a lot of nice tools to do it, but I am on the opposite end of it now meaning I have kind of moved on to other hobbies, but if you like to work with your hands, it's a very enjoyable hobby. Woodcraft would be a good place to go learn some of the different options. If space is a concern, turning can be nice as you can start small with pens, etc and work your way up. True woodworking takes a lot of space for equipment so that may be a consideration.

It should. It definitely kills poison ivy. It’s considered a total vegetation killer. I know a lot of people don’t like to use Roundup, etc but when spraying around my place I need something that works and within reason stays dead for a while. I mow 4 acres and spray around areas I don’t want to trim, on grown up tree lines, etc where I mow and just want to keep the jungle manageable. I do try to keep it within labeled ratio’s, even trying to use the low end depending how dense the stuff I am trying to kill is and it has always worked for me. I do recommend using a mask and always spray when the wind is down as it will drift and kill other things you may not want to if in close proximity A lot just depends what kind of stream you are using on your sprayer. I can’t reiterate enough, use a surfactant as well.

It will kill it if applied at the right rate.

You don’t need a gallon. It only takes 4oz per acre or so. A quart is plenty for most normal situations. It’s worth it.
-
Roundup is just glyphosate. It’s just what percentage you use. Go to a Coop and get RM43 and mix it within directions. As important, use a surfactant like Preference which you can also get there. I typically mix about 32oz of RM43 and 16oz of Preference in 25 gallons of water. if you are talking broadleaf, then 2-4d. for clover, nothing beats Milestone.

Try just loading 1 round into the mag and then 2, etc and see if it happens. I am wondering if it isn’t shaving a piece of lead due to extra pressure from the full mag. It would probably take it from the same spot each time. or after loading your mag as normal, pull the unfired bullet and inspect it. Testing by loading without the mag is a good test as well. It will tell you if it is the bore or the magazine.

I just used the join option without issue as a new member. Renewal must be different.

They are perfectly fine for a lot of people who don’t travel long distances daily. If you don’t own a home where you can put a charger I think it becomes less attractive. just had a discussion with some friends from Ohio this week. They charge $100 per year for EV’s.

You can do that, just know it will wear the sealant off much faster as well. Any abrasion is going to work both ways and high traffic paths will show wear much quicker so you may end up with something that doesn’t look great after a short period.

For that budget, I would be looking for a Bergera B14R and put it in a KRG Bravo stock. The REM 700 action pattern would give you options down the road. Forget the RPR. The T1X is ok, but much harder to find stocks.

Will consider a reasonable offer on this.

Ford vs Chevy vs GMC (not an argument thread!)

Understood. Just saying I guess that there is no 'best" anymore. Even with used vehicles it's a crap shoot anymore. -

I have a brand new Tundra and personally don't get it. Considering going back to a RAM. Drives better, rides better, better fit/finish, 3 recalls already on my new "the best" truck . Toyota isn't what it once was. -

I would just go to autotrader.com and go under advanced search. Select trucks and long bed only option and see what is out there. You will get an idea of what you can get in the price range you are looking. I saw some 2012-2016 F250's with 8' beds for around 35k. They have about 100k on them, but for a Diesel that isn't bad. I didn't look deep, but there may be some 1/2 tons with longer beds as well. -
Natural Selection. I just have a hard time feeling bad for these people. I guess I am a bad person. Glad that at least no one else was hurt.

I personally haven’t heard anythinga about the machines themselves but personally am at the point I’m not supporting anything I can from China.

I am a Kyle Busch fan which I know many are not, but he is as close to Earnhart as we have had since Tony. I don't really dislike anyone, but also like Harvick, Logano, and Hamlin.

Watching it as well. I don't watch them all, but do have the guys I root for.
