SilencerCo Maxim 9 with integrated suppressor
Capbyrd replied to Ronald_55's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Announced last year. Vaporware for a year. Now they are saying shipping this April and at an MSRP of $1499, it will include a holster. -
IoT is the hot ticket for "hackers" these days. So just be careful if you start loading up your house with IoT devices. The good news, though, is that router and firewall companies are paying attention and building some great devices specifically to protect your IoT home. A lot of devices announced this past weekend at CES.

I carry a SAK every day and sometimes rotate it out for a case. I grew up on slip joints and they still hold a special place in my heart. A lot of the big custom tactical makers have gotten into slippies lately too.

ASA posted that the bill has been reintroduced.

Wonder how long till the threaded models show up.

Terrible law. Can't they figure out that we have enough laws and what we need now is to start getting rid of them? I feel bad for people that live in places like Bartlett. If you have a car that's visible from the street, it has to be tagged, running or not. So now it has to be insured to be tagged. What a waste! Screw you Nashville!

My only complaint with most of them is that they are reciprocating. Other than that, I've not really seen any complaints from anyone.

If you don't want a hassle, don't get an FFL. The system is stacked against us and FFL holders should be our advocates. While I can understand that they need to run a business, should be on our side as well. They are just the special few that chose to delve deeper into that hassle.
-
You mean we shouldn't trust the people that got them in advance and for free? I concur.

You are reading a lot into what I didn't say. I'm going to make this sentence as clear as possible and hopefully you won't read the part that I don't write. THEY REBOX THE PACKAGE SO THAT IT CAN GET TO ITS DESTINATION.
-
They aren't trying to hide anything.
-
This isn't new. Its been going on as long as their have been shipping companies.
-
Not necessarily. If the original shipping label is intact, it can be reused. If its not, but there is enough to reprint a label, then they will reprint it at the hub.
-
They aren't doing anything under the table. They are following policy. Go to a UPS or FedEx store and ask them what happens if a box is damaged to the point that stuff starts falling out? I used to work in Shipping and Receiving for the company I'm with now. I've received three hundred cassettes in a trash bag before with the original shipping label loose inside the bag. This is just part of their of their policy and the way that they operate. They aren't covering anything up, they are doing their jobs. The fact that some of the individual boxes of ammo were missing their boxes completely, and you were 60 rounds short, combined with the box that is obviously way too big, has all of the signs of a damaged rebox at a shipping hub.
-
I don't think it left PSA like that. I'm not positive because you didn't post good pics of the box but I would be willing to bet that the original box was damaged, likely from water and one of its stops and it started coming out of the box. UPS or FedEx would have then repackaged everything that they had there and let it continue on to its destination. They can't refuse a package for you so they let you do it when you get it. Having worked at Fed for some time, thats what it looked like to me.

Not really.

Why did he bother shouldering and getting a cheek weld if their is no rear site? Why get that mud all over your face?

I didn't deny that Memphis has more crime. What I said is that most of that crime is in very small areas of the city. One day, I'll learn to keep my mouth shut in these threads.

You got friends here and you didn't piss me off. What pisses me off is most of the state talks about us like we are a war zone. But the metro area used to be the largest by land size. Don't know if it still is. That means that our population, smaller than Nashville, is spread over a larger area. There are a few small areas where all of these murders are taking place and they are almost always not random. There are some great places around here. But no-one wants to see that.

Here are a couple of poorly lit shots of the moving parts.

Not quite. The 77/22 has a longer barrel shank and distance from v block to end than both the 96 and 10/22. The 96 is kind of a hybrid between the two I guess.
-
None of it actually. I don't know for sure about trigger components yet as I haven't disassembled it but none of it is a direct swap I know. The bolt components are same (I think, I know the extractor is kinda) but everything is just different enough. The 96 uses a dual extractor setup. 10/22 barrels will work but you have to either cut a second groove 180 degrees from the first or remove the second extractor from the 96. Most people tend to think the latter is a bad idea and former option is the correct way to go. I know you will appreciate it so when I get some time, I'll disassemble the 96 next to 10/22 and share the comparison pictures.
