  I don't want to know, and I especially don't want to see!

SOMEBODY must have seen some birds - Metro PD's phones were buzzin with people reporting gunshots being fired around the Percy Priest Lake area right after noon on Monday...

I don't know how you guys carry some of these comfortably in a pocket...  I have a Kahr P380 that I like and can carry in the front or back pocket of my jeans, but anything bigger than that has to be in a holster for me.

The speed at which I travel is directly related to the following distance of the car behind me..  I want a bumper sticker that says 'CLOSER YOU FOLLOW = SLOWER I GO'

Was a decision made about putting money in for a membership?  I like the lifetime membership idea too.

I don't know about the other two, but after watching the video of the one in West Nashville I'd say it was just reckless speeding.

I used to hand all junk calls off to my 3 year old..  He knew enough words to keep them talking (sometimes for a very long time), but nothing coherent enough to give them any info.  He loved the attention, and they rarely called twice.

I had one and really liked it, but it had an annoying trigger-pull squeak that no amount of lubrication anywhere could get rid of..  (Even the Beretta Rep I showed it to at a gunshow was stumped.)  I finally traded it. It is a very cool looking gun.  It's accurate enough, and I never had any problems (other than the squeak).  I found it a little thick for concealed carry, but that may not bother you.  Only real issue I had was finding a good holster - I used something generic until I eventually made a leather one for it.

Years ago my father had an ongoing problem with raccoons getting into his garden...  He ended up buying a lot of BBQ sauce to overcome the gamey taste.

Mine worked great the bazillion times I opened it before July 1st..  One hour after I put it in my pocket on July 1st I went to show it off to someone and it didn't work.  Go figure.   David at ProTech was great and took care of it immediately - it should be waiting for me when I get home today.

  My wife is from Mexico, and she still makes salsa in a molcajete (volcanic stone mortar and pestle) - nothing beats it, but it sure gets spicy some times!

  This is also my response.  Why would you not disclose?  I guess you run the risk of a bad apple cop taking advantage of it, but seriously, how probable is that?  I'd much rather avoid any issues by letting them know up front that I'm a responsible permit-carrying citizen who would really like to avoid any hassles/tickets.

  I use a 'refrigerator pickle' recipe that works pretty good for canning them.  I'd be interested to know how freezing them works.  (I have to admit though, that my 2 year old will probably eat ALL of them before I get a chance to keep any for later..)

I pulled the rotted wood sides off my 5X8' raised garden this spring, and rebuilt/expanded it to about 6x10' (inside) with (40 or so) concrete blocks ($1.14 each at Lowes) stacked two high.  I added compost and additional dirt to bring it to about 6" from the top, then laid down landscape fabric and covered it with a layer of mulch before planting.  I planted 24 tomato plants; 4 plants each of 6 varieties, with serrano chilis on one end and jalapenos on the other, and filled some of the holes in the blocks with dirt and basil plants.  Add Miracle grow, and wait...   WOW!  I've never had a garden this beautiful!  I've been eating the cherry tomatoes for a couple of weeks, and I must have 100 others of assorted varieties getting big and starting to ripen.  The tomatoes are coming it without the weird shapes and black spots I've had in previous years.  I also put a plastic owl up to keep the birds away, and even that seems like it's working great.   Best thing I've found to do with fresh tomatoes is to slice them and put on cheap white bread with a slice of velveeta - then put them under the broiler for a few minutes.. 

I just finished The Dog Stars by Peter Heller - it's not a typical post-apocalypse book, but I think it's a very good one and I really enjoyed it.  No zombies, a few gun battles, some fly fishing, and a lot of very 'human' moments.

Yeah Willis, jeez!!  I've always been happy with my $12 folder, but now I'm hooked and will end up spending way too much on knives I think I need...   Your fault dude.

Just got mine in the mail... Can't post pic from my phone, but it's COOL!

  I decided many years ago that I wanted to learn how to fly fish, so I picked up a copy of this: 'Curtis Creek Manifesto: A Fully Illustrated Guide to the Stategy, Finesse, Tactics, and Paraphernalia of Fly Fishing'.  It's a large format soft cover book, illustrated with cartoon-type drawings. It has all the information you need to teach yourself the basics. (Currently it's $8.42 from Amazon.)   I am completely self-taught, and yet I've stood shoulder-to-shoulder on blue ribbon trout streams with fishermen who have paid big money for to attend fly-fishing 'schools' who have asked me for advice.  (I recommended they get a copy of this book.)     I still keep a copy in the back pocket of my fishing vest, and presented a copy to my sons along with their first fly rods.  

I'd never heard of him, but I like it.  I just ordered a couple of songs from iTunes.
