  1. I had one and sold it to fund another purchase a few years back. It was a splendid shooter and probably the best factory pistol trigger I have used. Be warned mags have been notoriously hard to find here recently.
  2. seems like an esstac daeodon would fit the bill. I run this in the 5.56 config and have been happy with it. https://esstac.com/7-62-triple-midlength-daeodon-front-panel/
  3. 1. Reliability - this is leaps and bounds above the rest, I don't mind working through random issues on range guns but on a defensive gun no way. 2. Carry-ability - How easy is this going to be to carry, if it is great at everything but is a PITA to carry it's likely going to get left at the house 3. Capacity - I want as many chances as possible 4. Caliber - Need to be able to produce the intended results when called upon 5. Accessory Compatibility - I want to be able to mount a dot and a light 6. Holsters - Is there a reputable manufacturer that can support different holster styles
  4. Hot damn sad I missed em but will be on the lookout for the next batch
  5. sweet blade, make sure to let someone borrow it next time they need to turn a screw.
  6. Ive got one and would agree they are solid pieces. The other option that I see a lot are the kenai (sp?) chest holsters, only downside of this is they are pistol only with no pockets or room for other stuff with the tradeoff of being quicker access than the HPG stuff. Also the HPG rigs are more "concealed" than a kenai rig to the average person.
  7. curious what you swapped this out for. Have a 457 scout that might need an upgrade.
  8. are the G19 mags two different sizes? Pic makes the 9 marked ones look smaller than the 10 ones.
  9. plastic/rubber body may be an issue depending on where you mount it and how much heat it's going to be subjected to.
  10. Im sure it would not be an issue. Magpul makes pretty affordable ring mounts
  11. I wouldn't be opposed to putting it on a long gun. I would however suggest looking at the protac rail mount or HLX series of streamlights for a fairly low price proven weapon light.
  12. That's a chupacabra, definitely not a cougar, you can tell by the toes.
  13. Haffner is going to be really close for you and also does day passes now I believe.
  14. Alright think I have scoured all my options and am tentatively looking at a ruger american hunter in 308 to serve as my entry in bolt actions and longish (500-600) range shooting but wanted to see if there was anything else I wasn't considering. Search Criteria -308 Bolt Action (Don't think the price premium on 6.5CM would be worth it for my ranges) -Threaded muzzle for suppressor usage -Box magazines -~$800ish -Shortish overall length Looked at the other options in the Ruger line as well as some savages but wondering if there was anything else out there? I know the Bergara rifles are supposed to be great, but already above my budget and would have to get it threaded.
  15. the K models from Holosun typically have the circle dot, the 509 and the 508T (I think) being the exception as they only offer circle/dot I think. Agree with repetition you can get the dot to be visible on the initial presentation without any fuss. The front sight trick works as well. I have found that focusing on the target and not thinking about the dot tends to get the dot in the right spot fairly easily.
  16. Do you have another one? Take it to a Fastenal store and they will likely be able to hook you up
  17. a 20" rifle length upper would look awesome on that lower.
  18. Think of it like a G48 with more capacity. Thin, high capacity, optics ready, comped, and different feel (ergos, trigger) than other comparable guns
  19. even worse news. I got real excited when I saw the email and thought about a 17rd comped 365 that was optic ready.
  20. I think it's larger than the 365, pretty much XL size
  21. If you are going to pony up for a suppressor or you already have a suppressor that can handle 300BO that is my suggestion. If you are only going to shoot supersonics I wouldn't bother with 300BO. If you are primarily shooting indoors at 25y I would honestly just stick with 5.56, not worth the ammo cost to punch a different size hole in the paper.
