  1. Thanks Chances that chart puts it in perspective. I will pass on NRA CG unless they come up with something better down the road.
  2. Has any TGO members signed up for the NRA carry guard insurance? I am interested in your opinions. Spouses coverage is included in price.
  3. CM9 Kahr is a nice budget piece.
  4. Glad you found a closer dealer to purchase your product. In this area a lot of people buy from Abernathy's in Union City, TN but that isn't close to you. I was there a couple of times last year with my brother to get his Polaris UTV serviced. Lots of sales for small community.
  5. Have you considered renting a small u haul trailer if it wont fit? They are pretty cheap rental imho..
  6. I would follow the manual instructions on warm up time. I have the same scale that has been flawless if given time to warm up otherwise it wanders off zero somewhat. My lighting above bar where I use scale isn't flourescent lighting so I can't comment. I have a cheap scale I use to check weight also that weighs to nearest 0.1. Good choice on scale IMHO.
  7. Thanks to rugerla1 problem fixed. I forget to tighten the 2 allen screws inside the trigger housing. Going to the range in a hour or so....
  8. After reading the instructions again I failed to tighten the screws and just placed the Allen screws on top of the screws that are only needed for polymer receivers. Thanks for the answer. I will fix it tomorrow and not make that mistake again.
  9. I don't remember any locking screws for front pin, only second pin. I installed one on a Sig and didn't have this problem. We followed instructions that came with new trigger.
  10. I have a new CMMG Oracle AR15 that I haven't shot yet but trigger was not good enough for me. I bought a small pin Timney trigger from Brownell's and replaced it over the weekend. Was going to range tomorrow and noticed the front pin was loose. I used the 2 allen screws to hold second pin in place. Brownell's was closed when I noticed problem so I couldn't talk with tech support. I am sure someone can tell me if I got the pins reversed or need to buy another pin for front. Search didn't provide any answers. Thanks for the help in advance.
  11. Tablets not secured would probably walk off pretty quick. This is my experience with having a couple of relatives in Assisted Living/Nursing homes.
  12. Prayers sent! My colon perforated and had to have surgery several years ago. Hurt so BAD till surgeon got me fixed up. No bag after surgery. Praise the LORD.
  13. NRA did it's part but GOD rallied the troops for this one. Did you notice Franklin Graham mentioned in the Old Testament rain was a sign of blessing. Rain drops fell on Donald when he stepped to the podium. My opinion and won't argue the point...
  14. I would use the website handgunlaw.us to check the state laws I would be traveling thru with the guns. No problem in Missouri if in the trunk or back of SUV but the State of Illinois requires pistols, longuns, bows, etc to be enclosed in a case even if in trunk when transported. Cheap cases can be bought/borrowed to get them home.
  15. I use the Gem Pro 250 for 1st weighing that will read grains to the hundredth and move charge to Frankford scale just to double check powder charge that reads to nearest tenth I reload for rifles mostly on single stage press and also have RCBS beam scale that is seldom used. Some may think this method slow but you get a rythm and it goes fairly fast. Chances of mistake is slim using this procedure.
  16. There is a lot of good information on calling and hunting predators on the site below: http://www.predatormastersforums.com
  17. I had a Remington 700 SS with 26" bbl but was only .280. I got good results like Gregintenn with IMR 4350 but IMR 4831 gave around 3100 fps with good accuracy with Sierra Pro Hunter bullets. The latter was what I used on deer and they didn't run usually. I think the 5th Edition Sierra manual has info on .280 AI. If not call Sierra "Bulletsmiths"
  18. I have the Black Max from Sam's Club that Hozzie mentioned. It will run lights, refigerator, deep freeze and electric water heater since only one element is active at the same time. I suggest a manual transfer switch be installed. I am not a electrician but have been told there is a slight chance current can be sent to grid with main braker turned off. I didn't want the liability of possibly killing a lineman so I had a electrician install a transfer switch.
  19. Sierra game king bullets are accurate and good for deer sized animals. I have used the 100 grain 6mm and 140 grain .280 Remington with good results.
  20. I used a pair of Peltor Com-Tac electronic muffs when I need to hear range commands. They are a little over the $200 price range but work really good. They have replaceable hygiene ear muffs.
  21. Allen1 if you want it fixed Glock will check it out along with all your magazines if you want to make the trip to Smyrna, Georgia during their business hours. I had 2 pistols rebuilt and all magazines checked and new ones replaced some older mags. 0 cost to me except for my expenses to the factory.
  22. My friends from North Carolina got gas in Lebanon going home. Some other people in my circle of friends went to New Orleans and Florida. Neither group had problems buying gas. Thanks for all the info...
  23. Open carry was legal without a permit before this veto override especially in rural areas but some muni's exercised their option of passing laws that prohibit open carry and restrict the blade length of knives. One needed a permit to concealed carry before SB 656.
  24. I have friends that live in North Carolina that are in Sikeston for a class reunion. They are planning to return to NC tomorrow. Does the stations in Clarksville, Cookville, or Crossville have gas. They only have a 350 mile range with full tank and home is 650. Nashville is 200 miles from Sikeston approximately.
