  1. I have a CM9 Kahr that is nice to pocket carry with a Nemesis Desantes holster until I got a (Lisa) RJ Hedley leather holster and magazine sheath.  After 20 rounds or so it has been flawless.   Standard hollow point ammo rather than +P or +P+ is easier to control for carry.   It is a powder puff with Winchester White Box.  Firing the Winche ster Ranger T+P+ is a handful in the small pistol so I found some with less bounce to the ounce.. :)  The CM9 has a lot to offer for a small price.
  2. The CM9 Kahr is a nice pistol.  It is a powder puff with Winchester White Box 115 grain but Ranger T +P+ not so much... :)  I have some Gold Dot LE 115 grain bought from SGAmmo that I haven't had a chance to test.  I was hoping to find a good defense round with a little less recoil than the Ranger T for carry ammo.  The Ranger T didn't hurt your hand but was slow getting back on target... :)
  3. Some of my best dove hunts have been in and around a field growing sunflowers.  The doves love sunflower seeds.  Corn fields that have been harvested for a week or so and mowed with a bush hog are good also.
  4. I have turned off the speaker on the Scorpion and just use the SP55. Turning off the internal speaker saves the batteries but I use rechargeable and have several good batteries. I bought one of the carrying cases that Foxpro sold and it has room for the call, sp55 speaker, remote and spare batteries. I like the combo and just need to hunt more. :)
  5. I have used the SP55 external speaker at times especially if need to reach extra distance.  This area in SE Missouri where I have permission to hunt is flat and mostly farmland so you need the extra range at times.  The SP55 is a very good speaker.  I intended to call some crows and use the SP55 but the flyaway has changed and they aren't roosting where I hunted years ago.  There are better FoxPro calls that the one I have and I bought the first generation Scorpion but haven't had any problems with it.    I have the Jack in the Box decoy that works well.  It has the bunny and the coon like attachment with the longer tail that moves to get attention.  I bought the longer wire from FoxPro to get the coon/rabbit up above the grass so it would be more visible.   Happy hunting.....
  6. You are welcome.  I have a FoxPro Scorpion electronic call with a decoy.  I need to hunt more.
  7. There is a lot of information here about Missouri at this link... http://www.missouricarry.com/forums/ One can view as a guest. This is a link to the Revised Statutes covering places off limits, etc. http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/C500-599/5710000107.HTM Busch Stadium is covered in the above statute (subdivision # 16) but no-gun signs don't carry the force of the law in Missouri except Federal property. I have posted a couple of subdivisions of which there are 17 pertaining to off limits carry from the above statues. If found with a weapon take it to the car if asked to leave property. Parking Lots are OK most places except Federal property. Like has been mentioned no bus carry or metrolink. (15) Any private property whose owner has posted the premises as being off-limits to concealed firearms by means of one or more signs displayed in a conspicuous place of a minimum size of eleven inches by fourteen inches with the writing thereon in letters of not less than one inch. The owner, business or commercial lessee, manager of a private business enterprise, or any other organization, entity, or person may prohibit persons holding a concealed carry permit or endorsement from carrying concealed firearms on the premises and may prohibit employees, not authorized by the employer, holding a concealed carry permit or endorsement from carrying concealed firearms on the property of the employer. If the building or the premises are open to the public, the employer of the business enterprise shall post signs on or about the premises if carrying a concealed firearm is prohibited. Possession of a firearm in a vehicle on the premises shall not be a criminal offense so long as the firearm is not removed from the vehicle or brandished while the vehicle is on the premises. An employer may prohibit employees or other persons holding a concealed carry permit or endorsement from carrying a concealed firearm in vehicles owned by the employer; (16) Any sports arena or stadium with a seating capacity of five thousand or more. Possession of a firearm in a vehicle on the premises shall not be a criminal offense so long as the firearm is not removed from the vehicle or brandished while the vehicle is on the premises; 2. Carrying of a concealed firearm in a location specified in subdivisions (1) to (17) of subsection 1 of this section by any individual who holds a concealed carry permit issued pursuant to sections 571.101 to 571.121, or a concealed carry endorsement issued prior to August 28, 2013, shall not be a criminal act but may subject the person to denial to the premises or removal from the premises. If such person refuses to leave the premises and a peace officer is summoned, such person may be issued a citation for an amount not to exceed one hundred dollars for the first offense. If a second citation for a similar violation occurs within a six-month period, such person shall be fined an amount not to exceed two hundred dollars and his or her permit, and, if applicable, endorsement to carry concealed firearms shall be suspended for a period of one year. If a third citation for a similar violation is issued within one year of the first citation, such person shall be fined an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars and shall have his or her concealed carry permit, and, if applicable, endorsement revoked and such person shall not be eligible for a concealed carry permit for a period of three years. Upon conviction of charges arising from a citation issued pursuant to this subsection, the court shall notify the sheriff of the county which issued the concealed carry permit, or, if the person is a holder of a concealed carry endorsement issued prior to August 28, 2013, the court shall notify the sheriff of the county which issued the certificate of qualification for a concealed carry endorsement and the department of revenue. The sheriff shall suspend or revoke the concealed carry permit or, if applicable, the certificate of qualification for a concealed carry endorsement. If the person holds an endorsement, the department of revenue shall issue a notice of such suspension or revocation of the concealed carry endorsement and take action to remove the concealed carry endorsement from the individual's driving record. The director of revenue shall notify the licensee that he or she must apply for a new license pursuant to chapter 302 which does not contain such endorsement. The notice issued by the department of revenue shall be mailed to the last known address shown on the individual's driving record. The notice is deemed received three days after mailing.

  10. Dolomite, The skyscreens on the Oehler are what sends the signal to the unit to start and stop thus won't work without them. You are thinking about the diffusers that show you the window where the skyscreens will read. I was not familiar with the Oehler Model 12 and agree that I wouldn't replace the skyscreen for that unit either....
  11. I understand the cost of the skyscreens vs units today but I would have to replace skyscreens for the Oehler 33 if I shot one.  I have had my unit set up beside some other units that sell for less than $200 and would rather buy skyscreens for my older chrony than depend on one of these units.  I bought my Oehler 33 in the late 80's or early 90's before the 35P was available and have gotten a lot of service from it.  IMHO there is Oehler and then there is everything else....  :) Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion and that is mine... :)
  12. Are you sure they are out of business?   I have an Oehler 33 and talked with tech support about 6 months ago.  I needed the Oehler 33 manual as I misplaced mine.  They answered my email promptly.   http://www.oehler-research.com/index.html   Oehler Research, Inc. 13.   I say "AMEN" to this post also....  Sam and David helped me with a powder purchase when I was having a difficult time finding it for my rifles.  I won't go into details but they were super to deal with and I will try to give them my business even thought I live in Missouri but I have relatives in the Nashville area and travel there fairly often.
  14. Dell business computers can be had with Windows 7 Pro for around $600 without monitor but haven't used but one to date. Looking to buy 4 more for Church.
  15. Windows updates was what I made reference to that is available for free. I feel more confident that the system would be more secure if upgraded to windows 7 which in my opinion makes sense at this stage for OP. He will have drivers that don't match using old hard drive and XP and may not have your expertise to get it right Computers usually perform better for awhile with new OS install has been my experience and I am no newbie to this game. Sorry Lester beat me to the post. Typing on phone is slow for me.
  16. Windows XP won't be supported by Microsoft with updates after April 2014 Iirc. Windows 7 is stable.
  17. From Gunbot.com I linked to Ammunition Depot that has some in stock for $37.97 per 50 round box.
  18. 8 plus inches of snow with about 0.5" of ice underneath with temp around 22 degrees with predicted temp to be 7 degrees in the AM near Sikeston, Mo (home of Lambert's throwed rolls)
  19. If you need powder and primers to go with Sierra's seconds and don't buy from David, Graf and sons in St Charles and Dunn in Festus may have what you need. Google the addy's and phone numbers and check stock if interested. I really enjoyed the Sierra tour and the seconds I have bought have performed well.
  20. I have used business card stock under the recoil lug on Remington 700 thick enough to free float barrel to see if uneven pressure on barrel is part or all of the problem.
