What I really enjoyed about this class was seeing alumni reconnect and meeting new clients who have trained with Randy. Without getting too deep into the weeds, a training day can be skill assessment or skill development. This was a skill assessment day, in your laboratory of one, shoot some drills, how did you do? Randy as always, on hand to give advice or lend a helping trigger finger. Fun fact, I believe everyone shot the John Wick Drill slower with their rifle than handgun. @Cruel Hand Luke can you verify? The Ridge allowed us to have 14 handgun and 5 rifle shooters on the line, saving a bunch of time. While it rarely occurs with a modern firearm in good working condition and decent ammo, we had an AR fail to eject and then double feed. Practicing malfunction drills is not being tactically correct or cool, it's just plain smart. My rough patch has been resolved, simply figuring out how to communicate better. Now I really need your prayers. The next day when i returned to work, one of my prayer warriors stopped by office to check in on me. With the strangest expression, he asked if I was ok (which I most certainly was) He later revealed he detected the presence of the Holy Spirit when speaking with me. Nope, not me, I'm not that guy. However, in my prayer life I ask that God helps me be his obedient servant, wisely invest my time, talent and treasure for his glory and help me fulfill the potential he sees in me; to be a living image of Christ. God says, "you've been asking, so I'll let you know you're on the right path." It's quite an "oh ####" moment, be careful what you ask for, you might just get it. Please pray that God continues to use me for his glory, that I make the right decisions to protect me from myself and tell Satan to eff off. Doug, I put out my feeders about 30 days ago, saw one, and nothing since. We normally get the swarm in late summer. Today is cleaning day, I'm always hopeful someone will show up!

My concealed carry is a Kimber Micro .380 in my front right pocket and Beretta APX outside the waistband at 845-9 o'clock position. My attire allows me to carry a full size all the time; the risk of flashing and certain restrictions force to me to stow the APX and pocket carry only. As others have urged, spend the money for a good belt and avoid budget, universal fit holsters. How concealed? You mention rural. If weight doesn't bother you and printing is less of a concern, bigger can be better. Longer sight radius, more bullets, more gun to hold on to, etc. What's your budget? From $300+ in $100 increments, there's a bunch of choices, especially if you will consider pre-owned. Good luck!

I'd Google small breed rescue with your city, I think you'd find a new friend needing a home. We've been dog free since January.

Based on peers with either corrected vision or aging eyes, they help. I'm 52 this year, have work glasses since 6th grade, have a both eye astigmatism and at 20+ yards the front sight huge. I've got a dot on order for an APX. Beretta doesn't offer suppressor height sights for this or their threaded barrel models...go figure.

From the comments here and friends who reload; Hobby, Therapy, Volume shooter, Thrifty (not cheap!) or simply a personality that likes to have a hands-on approach with a soup-to-nuts process. To me, it's also cool to be able to tailor rounds for application and specific firearms. The largest volume all of my shooting is 9mm and I always buy brass pre-rolled. Other than Wolf, I think I've shot every other brand-name flavor available. Had an inconsistent experience with a 1000 rounds of Shoot Point Blanks' in-house brand, so I will continue to stay will known makers. My experience has been paying $.22 - $.26 per 50 off the shelf and $.18 - $.20 per thousand online. When reasonably easy, I do scavenge brass and pay it forward.

Still going through an interesting season, prayer is still hard. Yet, He gently reveals my cross is pretty insignificant when compared to the blessings He is pouring out into my life.
