NPR attacks Katie Couric's Anti-gun Documentary
A.J. Holst replied to Moped's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Her producer has stated the edits were simply for dramatic pause, so the audience could reflect on the question before the panelist answered. and y'all think politics is edgy -
The coating has filled some of the detail, here's what I could make with my un-aided eyes Above the S/N is looks like "MK 2" on the S/N line : 1 / 50 F F (or P F) then 6 digit S/N

Proud new owner! Bought as is, except for the cheapo bipod I had in stock. Really excited about getting a bayonet and extra mag with with it as well. Whoever coated it did a great job (to my inexperienced eyes) Need a little advice, has an SK rail which replaces the rear sight, so I need a scope...I'm thinking 100 - 300 yard shooting...keep in mind that I've got $150 in the rifle...would buy used...recommendations?

Thanks for the replies and info. My limited Internet-based research didn't indicate these were "proprietary" mags. -
I like the new mobile enabled functionality. Haven't checked it out on a lap/desk top. Really easy like to upload a pic from mobile device to TGO...big winn!

Got a lead on one for $300. Aftermarket folding stock, full camo including barrel and receiver. Bayonet removed. Accepts AK47 mags. Owner reports shoots like a dream, but you have to hold the mag "up" otherwise it won't reliably feed. States can be remedied with a simple replacement of an inexpensive pin. I have no clue as to the level of skill or tools necessary to replace this pin. Other than a cursory handling when he first got it, I havent really inspected it, what should i be looking for?

Just when I've convinced myself I don't need a 9mm 1911, you have to post the one I'd like to have... Congrats!

I drive 3k - 4k miles per month...folks don't drive so good...merging, signalling, acceleration / deceleration lanes aka on/off ramps, distance between vehicles, impeding the flow of traffic with excessive fast/slow speed and proper use of travel vs. passing lanes are not only foreign, but archaic. Patience, a good sense of humor, cat like defensive driving skills, allowkng for felays and the occasional, "wow, thought I had seen it all," makes for entertaining driving...

If it's going to be in a semi permanent location and if you are properly grading the area, pour some footers to keep it off the ground. Since they aren't totally flat on the bottom, it could invite nesting critters to move in...eat up through the wood floor...swarm you in your sleep.

Hollywood Movie Gunslingers: So that's how they did it

I'd be concerned about his drunken and unsavory posse gunning me down before or after the duel... -
Great news, being the narrow minded Christian that I am, I think God was glorified through the talents and skills of your Healthcare providers coupled with a immediate release to to rest and recoup at home!

As States Expand Gun Rights, the Police Object
A.J. Holst replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Been a while since I took a drivers test, but a form with multi choice questions and a road test do not make for a safe, courteous and aware defensive drivers... -
Keep it, my buddy spent months looking for G2 19 for the reason of no finger grooves.

My buddy was a P3 pilot from 92-07, we have prosecuted Russian subs in international waters for years. Could be dangerous and unprofessional depending on perspective

At 25oz, I'll bet it's pretty shootable

Perfecta 9mm ammo far from perfecta
A.J. Holst replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I'm down to my last 4 boxes out of 20 (9mm), had 2 issues, same box but only that one box. Failure to feed, misshapen case, didn't notice when loading my mags... First ammo failure I've had in years -
In this case, what you pay is less important as its not being purchased for resale. Sentimental value, super cool piece for your collection and no reason not to lovingly shoot it. Hope it becomes yours!

suggestions on how to video monitor long distance driveway?
A.J. Holst replied to seez52's topic in General Chat
Not an expert, but have a buddy who installed an interior plug and play with real time video to smartphone /tablet/laptop with Internet access. Cameras were located by outlet for power, from there everything is wireless. With the proper equipment, Im guessing an exterior system would be a snap. To offset the distance problem, could you mount the camera closer to house looking down the length of the driveway or do you want to see what's happening by the road? Add a couple of bucks to your budget and can get some pretty cool James Bond susurveillance stuff -
Please accept my apologies, I gave up after 2 hours on I75 northbound...
