Looks like a standard ejection port (as opposed to lowered and flared). However, with the .22's it probably won't matter because the casings would be half the size of the .45's and they should fly out freely...I say go for it. It's a cool looking gun and should be a lot of fun to shoot. Not too expensive either, and the ammo will be cheap. Good luck, B

Howdy guys, I am the person who posted on RimfireCentral about this gun.

In short, it is fantastic. The Chiappa does not compare although if you have one, enjoy it and rock on.

All controls are the same, the grips the sights, etc. It IS the definitive 1911 in .22.

I am at about 700 rounds of flawless Federal bulk pack. No chokes at all.

Accuracy is really good and the bonus is...the trigger is great.

For about $40 more there is simply no comparison with the Chiappa, plain and simple.

And since I am a lefty, the ambi safety is a bonus. Threaded barrel. Adjustable trigger. Drop-free heavy magazine, three dot adjustable sights.

It has become my favorite 1911. Now, Kimber and Springer sit in the safe [hells bells, I can't afford to shoot them]. Got mine from Davidson's OTD at my local FFL for about $380.

One of the best gun purchases I have ever made.

No, I never get up Norris way except on an occasional camping trip.

Eager to see how the Colt/Umarex version turns out. Looks like it will cost $100 more than the GSG but heck, if it is that much better, I will chow-down on one.

My shooting life revolves around .22 now days.

I ordered one today. Should be in Wensday. Have read a lot of good reviews on this gun.

Do you mind telling who you ordered thru? I understood the initial run was sold out. I think I'd like to order one as well. And I'd just gotten a steal on a Sig Mosquito with a threaded barrel. Oh well, at least I can afford to shoot 22.

Saw a GSG 1911 today at the Goodman show. Priced at 329+tx and bgcheck. Finish was fair, some pitting in evidence, don't believe the paint will hold up a long while but overall looks good. Felt real good. Nice weighty mag that dropped smoothly. Adjustable sights with yellow three dot system. Had I not just bought a Sprignfield TRP that jumped off the table and attached itself to me like glue, I'm pretty sure the GSG would have come home with me.

Thanks for the info, lowery100. I'm not sure, but I believe the dealer I spoke with was from Lewisburg. I was waslking around and saw the GSG rifles and asked if they had seen the 1911 model. And was told they had one in their display case. I looked it over and was impressed with it overall, see my post above. Maybe after the Keltec PRM-30, I'll add it to the stable.
