What's the worst movie you own?

Recommended Posts

"The family Stone"

Has to be one of the most incredibly mind numbing movies of all time. I would also like to blame this one on my wife, but you guys don't seem to be cutting anyone any slack with that excuse.

"Van Helsing" is another that shot holes in my IQ.

I'd have to sift through a lot, but off the top of my head there's "Krull" as far as cheesiness goes. I cleaned out a Hollywood video that was going out of business and made room by getting rid of a handful of movies I never watched, so I got rid of a lot of my crappy ones there. Oh, the version of The Punisher with Thomas Jaine and John Travolta. I'm sorry but Punisher Warzone just kicked the crap outta that version. It was everything it should've been. There's the Evil Dead trilogy, there's the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 movie, and for the crown jewels of cheesiness, I have the old animated warner brothers versions of The Hobbit, and The Return of The King on DVD. As far as Avatar goes, I won't launch into my entire rant but I will say two things, 1. It was complete and utter crap, plain and simple 2. It was Fern Gully with bullets, except Fern Gully was better.

I own a copy of Krull. I remember that twenty some years ago, it was awesome. Oddly enough, I haven't watched in twenty some years. I find that many times, the movie is better remembered, as opposed to rewatched and ruined.

Definitely. The wife and I made this mistake with "The Neverending Story". Loved it as kids, absolutely atrocious to watch as an adult.

The crappiest movie I own is Orange County. The cheesiest is Undercover Brother. And the cheesiest movie that I own that is still awesome is Major Payne.

When I was like 14, I knew EVERY SINGLE LINE of Major Payne from start to finish. I think its a great movie.

The worst movie I own is "The Knowing" with Nicholas Cage. I bought it cause I really like Cage, especially from the National Treasures movies, but I watched it once and said, "Can we take this back to Wal-Mart?"

PEARL HARBOR! It has so many historically inaccurate scenes. It's the movie I love to hate. The scene where the P-40 is flying back and forth across the airfield with a Zero on it's tail, and they guys on the ground have to climb the control tower to shoot the Zero down. WTF! A Zero would have dispatched the P-40 in about 5 seconds like that. That's just one of the many inaccuracies that made this movie a joke. There are too many to list on here. That is why Pearl Harbor is the worst movie I own. It is an insult to the brave men and women who fought and died on December 7th 1941.

I hate Pathfinder. It is an incredibly inaccurate portrayel of the Vikings' discovery of America, how they treated the Natives, and their way of life in general. Not to mention the MASSIVE amount of historical inaccuracies, physical impossiblities, and just the general crappiness of the plot and cinematography.

As there is no written record of the Vikings' discovery of America, which they did :D, how do you know how they treated anybody?

Have I missed something? That is an honest qustion, BTW.

While there are very little written records about the Vikings at all, there are some concerning their discovery of America. There is also a decent amount of archeological evidence all leading to the consensus that they never raided the Americas. Now I know I'm not citing any sources, but give me some time to dig those up. What I remember about the Vikings and the Americas is that they attempted to trade and settle, and as such had many gifts for the Native Americans, chief among them being dairy products as the Vikings had an abundance of this. Native Americans were notoriously lactose intolerant. Believing to Vikings to have attempted to poison them they reacted with hostility and drove off the Vikings. Besides, just thinking logically the Native Americans did not collect any shiny things of value and were much further away then the various European countries that they raided that trusted all their gold to defenseless monks. (That's not meant as an insult, it's just the truth.)

Now, without citing sources I can tell you that the Vikings did not have horned helmets like many believe and CERTAINLY did not have flails. They also never would have taken a child that young (the one in the movie who was the main character) on a raid of anywhere.

I don't own any movies. But Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Killer Klowns from Outer Space are all fine movies that do not deserve to be on a bad movies list. They are so bad they are good.

Like stinky cheeses-- How could you tell if a good stinky cheese has gone bad??
