Recommended Posts

i recently acquired a smith m&p 15-22 talo edition in platinum pink. it was a deal i could not refuse. ok now i have a delema. should i leave as it is since it's a talo special or should i duracoat it another color? i mean how manly is a pink rifle?

of course i think it could have a tactical advantage, while the baddie is laughing at the pink gun i have a better op to shoot.....lol.

I'd leave it alone....it's cute...HAHA, I kno't know who thought this was a good idea, but someone did. If I were you I would look for the all black Talo edition (http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/Default.aspx?item=150781&mfg=Smith+%26+Wesson&mdl=M%26P&cat=All&type=All&cal=22LR&fin=&sit=&zipcode=37043) Buds may have one or at a minimum check gunbroker and throw that one on armslist.

I would go Cerakote over Duracoat, I've messed around with both and find Cerakote more durable and the cure time is significantly shorter.

Heck, if the price was to good to refuse I'd have bought it too, beside's it look's pretty darn cool and is the kind of rifle that will make other shooter's smile when they see it. That's not a bad thing though because people will want to know about the gun and how it shoot's which might draw other's into the shooting sport. I'd say that's a win win.

You don't say if you're married or single.

If you're married, let your wife use it.

If you're not married, use it as a chick magnet.

I'll trade you for a new in the box 10-22 with black (manly) synthetic stock. I got the 10-22 for my daughters birthday but she would like that much more.

I would totally leave it as pink. Honestly, you may not feel manly but how many other guys will have a pink rifle. That makes it special.

SHOOT IT!!

I've known a couple of cops that would have pink handcuffs, and others that would carry pink knives.

The reason, everyone will borrow them AND bring them back. The guys got tired of losing knives and handcuffs to people that wouldn't return them.
