I've been keeping an eye on super hydraphic tech for some time. The one thing that I've not seen a definitive answer for is "breathability" of material after application.

I can't imagine that there is any. Breathability is the ability for air to effectively pass through. If this blocks liquids using nanotechnology, I don't see how air could effectively infiltrate to the point of breathability.

If it's applied with a gun, then 5 gallons would coat a lot of stuff

Wow indeed. If it is wear resistant, would make a heck of a shop floor or bench top material. Unless it might happen to be too slick to be practical on a shop floor.

How awesome would it be to coat your car with this.

It said they only have it in translucent white right now but for the correct amount could have it made in other colors? Might make a decent gun coating but the only problem is that your oil wouldn't stick to anything, and I guess no paint would either.
