Gen 4 Glocks

Recommended Posts

You will definitely want some type of rubber grip on a Glock Gen 4 though.

It's easy enough to add but I don't see why some people have problems with the roughness. I actually wish it was closer to the RTF.

I've never felt the grip on an RTF, although, I do like the grips and the texture seems grippy, without being too rough like the Gen 4.

I use talon grips on my Gen 4's :)

No problems with mine. Mostly preference now a days. Glock has good factory customer service. Can always take it by the shop and they'll inspect, clean, upgrade, and fix while you wait. Heck they'll even give you some freebies too (calendars, magazines, etc.; no guns sadly). Easy for me to say though since I live in Atlanta right now; although would make a good pilgrimage for anyone that likes the brand.

I have a Gen 4 27 and its been a fantastic pistol. I have the medium backstrap on it and its amazing how much better they can fit your hand and grip with this addition. My only wish is that all mine were Gen 4 but sadly they dont make a 36 yet

I believe MAC (Military Arms Channel) on youtube demonstrated that limpwristing 9mm Glocks can cause frequent stovepipes. I think it was specific to the Gen 4s but it was only when he held it in weird positions and he really had to try and limp wrist it.

Anyways I have a Gen 4 G23 (thats the compact .40) and have NEVER had an issue, I practice single off hand alot and I limp wrist pretty bad that way. I have shot Gen 3 rentals (all calibers except 10mm) and never had issues but my only signifigant experience is with Gen 4s.

To be honest, later model 9mm Gen 3 Glock have created about as many problems as the Gen4's. Brass to Face was a topic on Glocktalk nearly everyday until recently. These problems have slowly been decreasing. I don't know that I have heard of many of them anyway with the Glock 26.
