WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says that if he owned the Washington Redskins, he would "think about changing" the team name, wading into the controversy over a football nickname that many people deem offensive to Native Americans.

Suggestions on a new name anyone?  Try to keep suggestions relatively clean and tasteful ie.  don't say just remove the RED and insert FORE as an example, though IMHO the new name does reflect D.C.

Seriously, does anyone outside of his wacko leftist base even care what Obama thinks anymore?  Obama has pretty much become just like Biden.  If you ever want to know the correct answer to any situation, just ask either one of them.  If you do the exact opposite of what they say, you will be fine.

I'm a huge Redskins fan and have been forever. I asked my Indian wife if it was offensive to her and her people just last week.

Me: Honey, does the name Redskins bother you, or your family?
Wife: Huh?
Me: The name, offensive to Indians?
Her: Whatever, I'm trying to read. Leave me alone.

I'm native American and it does not offend me in the least bit.

Redskins is about as offensive as "fighting Irish" IMO. I have one or two relatives that take exception to the later, me, for all I care they could be called "blackout drunk Irish" wouldn't bother me any, this used to be a free country where you could say and do things like that.

Given that, by definition, political correctness is "A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end..."

I'd say the only logical option to Redskins is Ferruginous Integuments. :leaving:
