New to the forum

Hello all my name is Jason. I will be moving to the Nashville/Hermitage area in December. I was medically retired from the Army last year after 17 years of serivce as an Infantryman (Sniper mostly). I shoot mostly long range but do like to shoot my pistol also. I am looking for some tactical precision rifle matches in the area, and might also dabble a little into IPSC and IDDP for the pistol. Well I look forward to shooting with you guys and girls.

Welcome Jason and thank you for your service. This a great forum with some good people. I'm a country boy who is now living in suburbia. I try to get back to the Tennessee woods once or twice a year to clear my head.  Being a city boy, we have to shoot indoors (ain't that crazy!) so I shoot mostly handguns.  I grew up next to a field that was over 1/4 mile long and spend many hours with my model 700 popping fire ant mounds. I envy a man who could become an elite sniper. The best of the best.

Grumpy old guy, I take it that you where in the 101st? I stood up the 506th there in 2004 before going to Ramadi Iraq with them

Jayhop101 I did a few tours with the 101st and back in the day with the 506th, long before 2004.

I retired from the military in 1992 at Ft. Campbell, Ky. from the 101st.
