Traffic around Tennessee

Recommended Posts

Where I live, the only frustrating part of traffic is getting behind a school bus or tractor, otherwise no problem.

I am originally from Sevier County, the best move I made was to get out.  Traffic and no good paying jobs.  Did I mention Traffic?

Compared to driving in San Diego, I hate most Tennessee drivers. I hated the grid lock in California but when traffic flowed everyone did 90+ mph on the interstates. Out here half the people are running 10 over, the other half are running 5 under. And way to many of them feel the need to ride the left lane or block you in because they feel the need to play speed patrol and slow you down for your own safety. I will say I've driven and ridden all over the country and there is nothing like running 90 in a turbo WRX on I-5 and it 9 lanes wide on each side, plus car pool lanes, and traffic almost bumper to bumper at those speeds. If you wanna crank the adrenaline even more do it on a beefed up bike made to lane split.

i believe a lot of it is due to foreigners who stay below the speed limit in any lane, people doing crap w their cell phones, picking their faces scratching their asses and inattentiveness. add the fact that nashville is loaded with choke points all around the city and 440 .... and some think adding buses will solve this.....

In the Chattanooga area they seem to drive like a bat out of hell.

Thanks

Robert

Update:  After 3 months I really like driving in this area. People do drive a bit fast for my taste but there is very little heavy traffic.  I had to drive to Atlanta and got a taste of traffic like I had in Maryland and I have to say I don't miss it.

Traffic isn't bad here. Go to NY and drive on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway or the Long Island Expressway. Or go to NJ and try the Garden State Parkway. Makes you really appreciate TN. ;)

To this I can only say this, what he said.
