Terror attack in France

According to this source:

"According to a Paris prosecutor, the terrorists wore triacetone triperoxide explosive on their suicide vests during the Paris attacks on Nov. 13.

Also known as TATP, the explosive is extremely sensitive to impact, temperature change and friction. Only a few hundred grams of the material produces hundreds of liters of gas in a fraction of a second. A comparable explosive is the decomposition of azide which fills air bags in cars."

Lol TATP. Losers.

That stuff is super shock sensitive. Reacts badly to metals and decomposes rapidly and self detonates.

No thanks.

I imagine you have a slightly different point of view regarding risk than the folks who willingly strap them on. ;)

Unless you're saying you'd be willing to wear one that was "safer"? :)

TATP, really?  This is going to be a self-correcting problem eventually.  If these fools ever had even an introductory college Chemistry class, they would know that if you play with that stuff long enough and you will blow yourself up.
