Best Pizza in Greater Nashville area is...?

Thanks, I need some options.

Yes, PieFive has gluten-free and is the only one she's heard about so that's where we go. Sometimes I get lucky and they feed us PapaJohns or the Hut at work.

Walmart sells two packs of personal size pizza crusts that are gluten free. You have to spray both sides with an olive oil Pam spray, add sauce, garlic salt and toppings. Not bad. That's what I've been reduced to since my AI diagnosis. Really, they're pretty good. Edited by MrsMonkeyMan2500

With the wife being gluten-free I have to settle on Pie Five.  :-\

You guys that get out more often let me know if these other pizza places have gluten-free crust if you don't mind.

Mafioza's can do Gluten Free!!  - It's expensive, but she can eat out with everyone else.

oh... and though it is not "out" - Udi's GF pizzas at Public..   a little pricy for a cheese pizza at 9.99, but I put a pizza sauce/tomato paste mix on it and then top with pepperoni, tomato, onion, spinach, feta,.. etc.  ... spice to taste.

Yep. Tastes just like Delia's in New London, CT when I was growing up. The REAL deal.

We just can't make pies here like up north. I must say, the best I've had ever is Frank Pepe's in New Haven. Something about a coal fired pie. Wife's from Niagara Falls, so we'll be heading to Little Italy there this summer and getting some authentic pizza. Til then, we'll make due with 5 points.

Joey's is very good but I say Pizza Perfect has the better pizza. Joey's has awesome main dishes. Their Chicken Parm and Lasagna are both incredible. Plus they have the Gladiator and that's hard to beat.

For selection, I give Joey's the edge, but Pizza Perfect is, well, perfect. Plus they're open for more than just M-F lunch.

For those of you on the south side, Nick's Italian Deli in Franklin (close to the Target on Columbia Ave, behind the Burger King and Advance Auto Parts) is very similar to Joey's House of Pizza. It used to be in Cool Springs, but he moved a year or so ago. Nick and Joey are (IIRC) brothers-in-law. Nick's was first, then Joey left there to start his own place. I get the feeling that they don't like each other very much. :)

They're actually BiL's. Joey's wife is Nick's sister.

Nick had a place long before Cool Springs in downtown Nashville.

Stahp trying to get the info! Gah! I've already said too much. Edited by MrsMonkeyMan2500

Considering Brooklyn's water source I'm ok with not importing the water.

That is what gives the NY crust its taste. That and home made sauce with the acid strained, fresh basil and a brick oven. Oh and good mozz is also a plus.

And actually NYC's water ranks 7th (maybe 9th now) in the Nation - according to my neighbor who works for the DEP.

If those standards arent met then its flavored cardboard.

Ill be in Nashville tomorrow and will test this so called pizza
