I bought a rifle/silencer combo the first week of April. Form 4 to Form 4 must be paper so I immediately filled out the form 4, did my own finger prints (pack of blue cards from Amazon and an ink pad), got some passport photos from Walgreens. From the ATF wait time web site, paper copies is 156 days. ATF got it turned around in about 5 weeks.

Three pages in and nobody is here shilling for .40S&W, so we at least have some hope. I'd say carry what you have confidence in- the gun and the round are a marriage...and in that analogy, the gun is your wife. It's the most important part, and has to be attended to first.

Ha, I’m just the guy to ask about rotator cuffs - this is my second one. I had surgery on my right one two years ago. It was screwed up for 25+ years and just got worse and worse until I couldn’t sleep. I think it all started when I tried to gun a guy down at third base from right field without hitting the cutoff man one time too many (I was young, dumb, and well you know the rest). Torn labrum (SLAP), torn subscapularis tendon, and ruptured bicep tendon. Dr. Brolin at Campbell Clinic reattached the subscap, repaired my labrum, cut off the top 2” of my bicep tendon and reattached it at the top of my humerus (aka bicep tenodesis). I read and was told therapy/recovery would be agony, but it was a piece of cake (4-5 months worth). I was a PT nazi though. Now I can throw a football 30 yards and (until recently, see below) do pullups. My only regret is waiting as long as I did. Fast forward to last December. Long story short I pulled a total dipsh!t move and tore my left subscapularis tendon and mildly damaged my supraspinatus tendon. Labrum was ok but bicep tendon was iffy. Same doctor reattached the subscap and did another bicep tenodesis. He also cleaned up some arthritis I didn’t even know I had (left side has always been drama free). That was nine weeks ago. This one has been a little more painful, but I am making steady progress. Will be probably August before I can really shoot anything. The doctor fixes you, but the physical therapist heals you. If you are active and want to get back to being active after a repair, you MUST do the therapy religiously. Epic threadjack over. My apologies to the OP - I also have a new shotgun I want to shoot and I feel your pain (literally). -
Bump.
