Just to be clear, I believe one of the conditions for this thread existing and the continued "spamming" of posts which border on being nothing more than political proselytizing was that I am grudgingly "OK" with this so long as your posts are not 100% videos and nothing else. We aren't a repository of Youtube links and any idiot with an inclination can go search Youtube and find all of the Gary Johnson stuff he wants to watch. What I want to see here are meaningful posts from you, with a video included if it's necessary. If this thread turns into nothing more than a list of your favorite bookmarks of Youtube videos, it's not going to last very long and I'm not going to continue to be "OK" with this. It's annoying and pointless other than to give you satisfaction that you're doing drive-by activism. Engage the public. Post your own content. Substantiate with videos if you must.3 points

Four more years of Obama will bring hundreds more of these funny threads. It's funny how some people will relax a bit and take the screwing that the government and politicians dish out as long as its their guys giving he shaft. This thing that we are in is not an Obama problem. It's an accountability problem. The American people have to start holding their guys feet to the fire as passionately as we do to the opposition. We let our guys do all kinds stupid things while turning a blind eye, but if the opposition sneezes we accuse them of spreading the plague. As long as we continue to play these games we will continue to have crappy leaders and a declining civilization. It's our fault people. The snakes are just being snakes.2 points

Took the wife, daughter, and camera to ORSA today. It was a great day to do some picture taking. Both of the girls are getting a little more comfortable with the handguns. Still have a flinch every now and again, but who dosen't. Seems it's always hard to motivate them to go, but when the shooting starts we all have fun.1 point

You spend far too much time on websites like WND and Alex Jones. DHS is simply buying ammo for their agencies. Nothing more. Excellent explanation. Hopefully people will read it. It's sad when our representatives and the NRA have to take time away from legitimate issues to deal with this tinfoil BS.1 point

Oh yeah; we're in great shape aren't we. I guess $16trillion in debt with $1Trillion+ in annual deficits as far as any can see isn't a problem nor is monetizing our debt at the rate of $40 billion/month with no end.I guess nearly 4 year of over 8% unemployment and nearly 20% real unemployment is no big deal. I guess nearly 50% of the population paying no income tax while being supported by the other 50% is okay too as is government takeover of most of the domestic auto industry; spending $billions on failed "green energy"...killing the coal industry...refusing to allow domestic oil production...refusing to allow a pipeline from Canada through the U.S....socializing our health care system so that we'll be as bad and as broke as Europe...U.S Ambassadors killed and embassies around the world threatened while BHO sleeps and campaigns...I guess it's all no big deal. Surely, with all he's accomplished in four years knowing he would have to face reelection; we can be assured that things will only get better in a second term when he doesn't have to face reelection again and I just can't wait to see the Supreme Court nominations he'll make in his second term. Yeah...no big deal...no one election really matters.1 point

This is why I don't use Craigslist. Too iffy on wether or not that good deal your getting is really a trap. Call me paranoid.1 point

Sure you can. Those steel bullet traps are much tougher than your average civilian. But let us not discuss the specifics, as DHS may put us in a FEMA camp.1 point

The military doesn't use hollow points because they're not allowed to. Ammunition in the system that is considered hollowpoints even have "not for combat use" stamped on the box.1 point

Good deal Sniper! You saw one more'n me Brother! I did see something very interesting so funny I nearly pee'd myself: Did y'all know that a Groundhog cocks it's leg to pee, just like a dog? One of the wee bastards had a 'rest' on the bottom rung of my ladder this afternoon. I would've shot it, but I was laughing so hard at the dirty look he gave me I nearly fell out of the damn stand!1 point

I'm going with option #4 here: FN Model 1910, .32 cal, serial number 19074 This was the pistol used to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand and set off a chain of events that would result WWI, and set the stage for the rise of Hitler and WWII. Certainly I believe these are more historically significant due to the fact that events were caused by this pistol that actually shaped history, unlike the pistols used to kill Lincoln and Hitler. The reason why those are not too historically significant: Hitler: Let's face it; Hitler was done for anyway. The fact that he shot himself didn't change the course of history. He would have been killed during the capture or the Russians would have hung him in short order. Lincoln: If he had been assassinated a year and a half prior I believe it would have been the singlemost historic shot in American history, as there is a good chance that would have altered the outcome of the Civil War. However, JWB shot him after all was over so it didn't really impact anything. If Lincoln would have croaked from a heart attack the same day or continued to finish out his term I don't think history would be much different. Maybe the North wouldn't have taken out so much of their anger on the South if it weren't for JWB, but I'm thinking it wouldn't have mattered. They were pretty pissed either way. Kennedy: I don't know how much it would be different if Kennedy wasn't assassinated. I'm sure there would be a different line of Presidents we'd be looking at today, but more significant than the one that killed Archduke Ferdinand? No, I don't think so.1 point

It's hard to practice technique until you learn one. Go with a handgun course that focuses on the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship and then practice the techniques that you learn. I've been handling pistols since I was 6 and thought I knew what I was doing. It wasn't until I went to my first shooting school in my 20's that I realized I didn't know squat.1 point

My personal "go to" long gun is a Mossberg 590A1, I keep it loaded with Federal LE reduced recoil 00 buck, I also own Mossberg 500 & a Remington 870 but I like the 590 the best out of the three. As far as the whole "but what about the limited range of shotguns" arguement, I honestly can't imagine a realistic self-defense scenario ever happening which would require engaging targets beyond the shotgun's effective reach.1 point
