  1. Folks like to talk smack about Memphis and it being a leftist hive in the state. There is some amount of truth to that, however, Memphis is not Portland, Seattle, or NYC. They don’t go for that “burn down our own home” crap. Didn’t do it in 2020, ain’t gonna do it now.

  2. And when they or anyone else does, I’ll laugh at them for calling it an “insurrection”. Was it wrong? Yeah. But it’s silly to claim that it was substantively worse than sustained nightly attacks on cities during the previous summer. There was a months long nightly siege of federal buildings like the federal courthouse in Portland where they repeatedly attempted to burn it down with people inside of it. They set fire to St. John’s Episcopal AKA “America’s Church” across the street from the white house. So no, I’ve never gotten too worked up about what was mostly an unguided tour where the only person who died was shot by Capitol Police.

  7. $900 Super Redhawk.454 Cassul and .45 Colt. Bushnell scope. Shoulder holster that fits the scope. 75 rounds of ammo. Shoots surprisingly well, but I’ll admit I didn’t try my luck with the Buffalo Bore hard cast, so that box is still full. Just sits in the safe.

  8. Yes. It was a protest turned riot. But if we compare and contrast with any of the riots that roared throughout the entire 2020 Summer of Love, it was a very minor one in terms of injuries, deaths, and property damage.

  9. Got a very nice Ruger 22lr up for sale, it's a hard model to find since they haven't been made in a couple years. It's got a Bushnell Rimfire 22lr scope on it. Looking to get $700 for the complete setup. Must be legal to own firearms to purchase.

  10. I purchased this some years ago and used it in cowboy action side matches. Extremely accurate and fun to shoot. Barrel length (measured) is 32 inches. The rear elevator sight is a Shaver which I believe was an add on. The front sight appears to be a Lyman. The rifle is in good shape however the buttstock has some discoloration from what may have been a solvent soaked rag being left on it. (Wasn’t me) I tried to capture this in the pictures. As I am leaving the 45-70 business, it will include: 45-70 Brass 52 New Starline 170 Fired Starline (de-primed and cleaned) 70 Fired Winchester (de-primed and cleaned) Bullets Approximately (I counted by weight) 1000 mixed variety bullets. All packed separately and tagged with manufacturer and weight etc. Exception. One mystery bag of 100 cast with no brand info. I am close to Lenoir City Just west of Knoxville and willing to travel a reasonable distance for an established TGO member. Quigley is calling your name. Asking $1400 $1200 $1000 for the package – no trades sought at this time. Please PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking.

  13. A "services offered, services needed" with locality. In these troubled times of woe and want, it might be nice to support fellow members of the board with their projects or if one were to be a practitioner of said Trade or vocation, might be amenable to providing services for fellow members. Ad example "Wanted in Tullahoma area, well driller for water well". Inversely, "well driller available Tullahoma and 150mi in any direction, call for TGO prices!" I've found this a great way to get good deals, finish projects, avoid taking chances on Facebook flakes, and most importantly SUPPORT FELLOW GUNNIES! Just a thought. In my previous vocation as one of the nation's premier FAL, AK, HK, GALIL, AR builders and firearms refinishers i was able to trade all manner of needed services for my labors, from legal representation to dentistry, BARTER remains untaxable and a great way to exercise independence from the ever-intrusive State. 16. Oh. Agreed. Just seems like the one in Memphis was a complete dud. i think the group organizing it would like it to be a way bigger deal than it actually seems to be.

  20. I've recently moved to TN from Maryland. Until Bruen, very few MD residents could even get an HGP because MD was a "May Issue" state and your right to carry hinged on your "good ad substantial" reason for needing to carry a firearm. I started carrying in MD in 2007-- even though OC was allowed by law (with a permit), it just wasn't prudent to carry OC there with the population of Karens in MD far exceeding the number of registered Republicans in TN . Post Bruen- HGP issuance in MD skyrocketed... I mean like Space X level. The folks on the gun forum there who had been living in 2A hell for decades (and adamantly fighting for literally decades for their 2A rights-- (I mean walking the streets picketing and rallying and testifying at the MD general assembly annually etc. level of fighting) decided to have a members meet-up at one of the local Mission BBQ's not far from the Capital in Annapolis-- on condition that everyone agreed to Open Carry. It was a sight to see-- a mini demonstration of "freedom" in that god awful 2A desert. Funny thing-- nothing crazy or silly happened. I'm sure the venue helped. None of those gents and lasses would generally advocate for just exercising OC on the daily (well maybe 1). But having a group of folks show up at a random establishment from time to time, all open carrying, all on good behavior and just having a good time, seems like a pretty safe and innocuous way to flex that muscle occasionally. If folks feel that strongly about it-- safety in numbers... One last thing... It's good to live in a state where we can exercise choice.

  22. For destroying private property? Shoot em on site for all I care. If we no longer have rule of law, our country is lost. I’ll save you a post. I don’t care if they’re destroying an abortion clinic. My opinion doesn’t change.

  27. Offering an early Winchester 1917 rifle in .30-06 caliber. The circled star stamped on the receiver is an indication of early production. Serial number 104558 aligns with the barrel date 12-17 stamp suggesting barrel is original to receiver. Barrel is stamped : W with flaming bomb and date 12-17. Bolt stamped W, is tight and action functions as it should. Front bayonet band stamped W. Receiver side stamped with flaming bomb and circled star. Stock is solid and in excellent condition stamped with rectangle enclosing 3GM- K. Now for the down side: Bore is dark/black with deep grooves. As shown in photo with bullet test, take into consideration its seen two world wars. If you are looking for collectors grade this one is not for you. It’s a good range hunter rifle. Reasonable offers considered. $1150.00Must be TN resident. At least twenty one years of age. Pick up in Crossville. Trades considered, M1 carbine, Colt SP1, Nambu, P38 etc $+/-. Thanks

  39. I had every intention of going to check out the protest in Franklin yesterday, but I got stuck working on the house all day and Just didn’t get out that way. I really wanted to go see the big nothing burger, I would suspect it was less than a dozen people. I was reading that there is a much bigger group that is trying to protest nationwide next weekend, at EVERY Tesla dealership. I’m sure that in CA there were be some major carnage but I don’t know if there will be here in TN, I hope not. I agree with Trump that this is straight up terrorism.

  40. I'm getting really tired of both sides cherry picking examples to prove that their side is less violent or extreme than the other. There are PLENTY of examples of each side acting like idiots. Party politics is destroying the country. Those that repeatedly engage in it, and blindly support their leader, are part of the problem.
