  1. Another gun company moving south. It must be the weather On Tuesday (April 23), Gov. Asa Hutchinson and local economic leaders announced in a state capitol press conference that CZ-USA, a Czechoslovakia-based gun manufacturer would locate its North American headquarters in the Little Rock Port Authority. The $90 million facility will manufacture, warehouse and distribute the company’s high-end, precision firearms, while employing up to 565 workers over the next six years. Construction will begin immediately, with the initial start-up planned for March 2020. Production at the Little Rock facility will commence in two, three-year phases. Arkansas won out over several states, according to Arkansas Economic Development Commission Director Mike Preston, in part due to the central location for U.S. distribution and workforce opportunities. Incentives provided by thestate include a forgivable loan, the Governor’s Quick Action Closing Fund, and several sales tax and construction tax breaks. Workforce training funds will also be made available to the company. A complete dollar amount was not available at the press conference. CZ-USA, the U.S.-based affiliate of Czech firearms manufacturer Česká zbrojovka a.s. Uherský Brod (CZUB), will locate the headquarters on 73 acres at the Port of Little Rock. “As CZ looked to increase our presence in North America, it engaged in a multi-state search for the ideal location,” said Bogdan Heczko, CZ-USA chairman of the board. “The Arkansas workforce, culture, business climate and industry support cleared the way for us to choose Little Rock as our new home.” https://talkbusiness.net/2019/04/cz-usa-to-locate-90-million-facility-565-jobs-in-little-rock-port/

  2. Anytime you try to conflate the government with God’s Will, you run into very dangerous ground of justifying some actions that even Satan wouldn’t claim as his own.

  3. The writer of The Highwaymen is John Fusco, who's written tons of Westerns, and the religious film The Shack. There are lots of varying opinions expressed in The Highwaymen, including comments by some characters in support of Bonnie and Clyde. Fusco wrote those lines, also. Do you think that Fusco is actually favorable toward Bonnie and Clyde? It's a screenplay about a series of historical events. Every line spoken by every character doesn't express the personal opinions of the author. So, can you explain precisely why you decided he's a liberal (I've not seen anything indicating his political opinions) and that he's writing out of total ignorance (from all accounts he researched the lives of Gault and Hamer carefully)?

  4. I think the days of blued lower end firearms are over. You will may still see it upper end firearms, but even then, not so much. Stainless steel in those seems to be the go to. To me though, wood and blue are much more appealing to the eye.

  5. So a liberal government and their representatives (the governing authorities ) are in fact, acting on the behalf of God as is his will?

  6. I have an M&P 2.0 9mm along with a carry package made by TT leather, and while I absolutely love the Apex Flat facing trigger and the Yellow Trigicon HD sights, I tend to shoot my Glocks much more accurate for the life of me I can’t figure out why so I never carry it and only carry my Glocks now

  7. I don't like the M&P's either. I had a full size .45 that had a terrible trigger. I had a 9mm compact that would release the magazine on its own accord. Even got a new mag release from S&W and still had the problem.

  8. I too, cut my teeth on the 1911a1 in the Army, but about 4 years ago, I traded away my last 1911 and moved to a M&P .45ACP compact, because I felt it was time to move to a more modern platform. To say I disliked the M&P was an understatement. So I found a guy with Springfield XDs with a lot of goodies to trade it too. I'm very happy with the XDs!!! But lately, I found that I'd like to have another 1911. So one day, I will buy another one. But that day is not today! Because I won a Harvey's Auction for a Matte Black Taurus M44 Tracker . 44 Mag. It will be going in lay-a-way at Harveys till I get it paid off.

  9. I get it once upon a time I was a 1911 guy and hated Glocks but I went to the dark side and I don’t think I will ever return!

  10. These kids are brilliant. My favorite project of the three featured here was the first one. It appears to be mostly 3D printed so cost is relatively low and with most of the calculation coming from a smartphone app, its something that could be used almost anywhere. I love it. And these kids make me feel stupid.

  12. First, I predicted the correct winner, (of course a one 1 in 3 chance), but I predicted she would win based on the applications of pure mathematics and physics, but also her "invention" addressed where most of the world seems focused: the discovery of more planets that we can't reach. Second, I gave major props to the first kid because he used knowledge of multiple, disparate disciplines to create his device. The only flaw that I saw was his invention apparently does not address astigmatism. Regardless, they were VERY impressive teenagers. Applied science has always impressed me more than theoretical science.

  13. One and three need to get a good patent lawyer and two is going far in hunting for planets. Good job!

  15. And it seems like there are less and less manufacturers that are actually bluing steel but spraying a cheesy coat of paint on them. One in particular are the finishes on the Beretta line of pistols-shiny kinda fake looking paint.

  16. I honestly thought that this would be the only stock Glock that I would not put sights on as they are steel night sights, however after shooting it for the first time I have realized that I have been spoiled by the Trigicon HD sights I have on my other Glocks and these simply will not do, I ordered an Orange front HD XR set that my MGW Sight Pro will take me 5 minutes to do, I also ordered 3 Factory 19 round magazines and a Vickers tool plug to replace the lanyard plug, this should be all the upgrades that I will do, I ran about 55 rounds through it as fast as I could and the pistol felt excellent in my hand and I really liked the trigger I am glad I picked this up I honestly do not understand the hate for it that I have seen on the web, in my opinion this pistol should have won the MHS contract hands down

  17. He may not be representing the 22nd disrict much longer since he was connected to CPS. State Sen. Steve Dickerson is an anesthesiologist and Medical Director for Comprehensive Pain Specialists (CPS), which is under fire for its abrupt closing of dozens of pain clinics across eight states last month. This week, news broke that CPS is under investigation by federal authorities.
