  1. The pain will subside but the recovery will continue. Follow Doctor's orders and get well soon.
  2. Thanks for the Glock 30 comparison. I have become a big fan of FNH. My Fnp 45 and FNX 9 are amazing. I like the grip angle and they just don't jam on any ammo I've tried. I'm sure the FNX compact is in my near future.
  3. Prayers and hope for a speedy recovery!!!!!!!
  4. Looks great, I'm trying to talk myself out of doing the same thing to mine right now.
  5. The Glock 30sf would be great for you to show. I have a 30sf myself and I'm really on board to get the compact fns9. How is the trigger on the compact?
  6. I like the simplicity of a revolver and the capacity of a semi auto. Carry one of each. If you do run out of .357 use the semi auto as a New York reload.
  7. I've read on a few boards that Fenix service sucks so I was apprehensive when I tried to call about a problem. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and put me in contact with the right person to solve my problem. The light wasn't under warranty anymore and the problem was my own creation (left alkaline batteries in my LD 41 too long and they leaked). The battery carrier was eaten up with corrosion. I hoped to send it in for a fee and get it fixed because it's been a good light and not a cheap one. She hooked me up with the battery carrier at no charge and I got it in 2 days. Problem solved, I would buy another Fenix anytime. Good light, good service. Let there be light!
  8. "Do not run, we are your friends".
  9. This may be my next carry gun. I love my fnx 9 and my fnp 45. They fit my hand well, shoot well, eat any ammo I feed them and I really like the triggers. Hopefully the striker fired compact will be just as good.
  10. Several years ago when the legal level was still 0.10  a nurse where I worked that was arrested for DUI was brought in to the ER to be tested. Her blood alcohol content was only 0.06 but had to go to jail anyway for the night. The deputy said she would beat it in court but he had to follow through with the arrest anyway. When his back was turned she thanked me under her breath thinking I had fudged the results for her so she obviously thought she was drunk. I let her know in no uncertain terms that I would not falsify a medical record just to get her off. I value keeping my license. I've also seen young teens passed out from alcohol that were nowhere near the legal limit.
  11. I checked out the 3 inch LCR and it gave me a very substantial grip. I think it might be just what you need. I don't see the grips available from Ruger without the gun too just yet.
  12. Sorry for your loss, especially at Christmas time but we can only hope that we all can live such a long and good life as she did. Count your blessings, I'm sure she provided you with plenty.
  13. I lost my mom when I was 13. It doesn't matter at what age she passes, she's still your mom. So sorry, you will be remembered in my prayers.
  14. I'm waiting until it comes in .357. I'd also like to see it in .44 special.
  15. I had a vehicle broken into a few years ago and they got everything in it. I'm glad I had the gun on me instead of in the car. I don't like to leave it in the car if I'm not in there too. The car was only left unattended for about 15 minutes.
  16. FNP 45 and a Glock 30 SF. Both will eat anything I feed them. No failures ever from either. I enjoy shooting the FN best though.
  17. The only notification I got was when I first ordered the expected to deliver date is Oct. 9th. It says shipped in my account but no tracking notices.
  18. I had a discussion with a black guy at work once a few years ago where he kept referring to Nelson Mandela as an African American. I said he was African, not African American but he continued to claim he was because he is black. He never was convinced  until his mom straightened him out after he went home.
  19. I have a borrowed Stihl electric chainsaw that was made in the 60's. The power chord was rotted and it needed a new oil cap so I took it to one of the local repair shops that handled Stihl products. I laid it up on the counter and asked if it might still be under warranty. Got a few laughs but the guy I dealt with called everyone from the back just to see it. The saw was older than anyone working there! Still running great after all these years.
  20. Are you sure that's not a trash can next to the .17 HMR?
  21. They had 120 buckets of 1400 rounds today at Dicks in the 'boro. Golden Bullets. I understand they had several people waiting since 5:30 am to get some. I went in after lunch & got some 45's that were on sale. I didn't want to brave the opening bell just for some 22's.
  22. I ordered the same thing in January. They say I could possibly get them in November of this year. I wonder how many are on the list ahead of me.
  23. I spotted a guy in Walmart yesterday carrying a Taurus 1911 just stuck in his belt not even IWB. He wasn't worried too much about retention. I could never do that.
  24. They had 50 round boxes in Smyrna at Academy earlier today. $5.00 per box.
