  1. So we go out on our regular Thursday evening bike club ride and as we cross over I 24 about 5 or 6 police cars pass under with sirens and lights flashing. Then we hear gunfire from the car they were chasing. As we rode south and had to cross back over we saw the state troopers carrying AR 15s and going car to car. The Georgia escapees were on foot in that area after they crashed. That got our heart rate up even more than the ride. Luckily they have been caught.
  2. Here is a gun control survey by the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I did it so they can get some response from responsible gun owners. Just making it available to some like minded people. https://uwmadison.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dh9ONf7jxrPnu97
  3. Wow.....Only in Southside AL....You will not believe what just happened.. I walked into 7/11 to get a drink When I walked up I noticed these 2 officers watching some dude who was smoking while pumping gas.. I saw him & thought, "This guy didn't have much common sense & was he stupid ?!! With the cops right there too?!" But anyway, I went in and got my drink. As I was checking out, I heard someone screaming.. I looked outside and the dude's arm was on fire! He was swinging his arm and running around going crazy! I ran outside and the cops had put him on the ground and were putting the fire out with their coffees!! YES, THEIR COFFEES!...Then they put handcuffs on him and threw him in the police car.. I was thinking "He shouldn't have been smoking near the pump while getting gas!" But being the nosy person that I am, I asked the cops what they were arresting him for.. The cop looked me dead in my eyes and said ... "WAVING A FIREARM!"
  4. Ooops! My bad. fixed it
  5. Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 2 years ago this month a week shy of his 88th birthday. He didn't leave me any fine weapons like yours did but he did leave many many fond memories as I'm sure yours did.
  6. I was hovering in my 20's with the mouse an "not actually human" with the keyboard.
  7. A great guy I used to work with at the hospital in Manchester has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, only 38 years old. He made the news while trying to fulfill his bucket list. Prayers for him will be much appreciated. http://www.wsmv.com/clip/13039864/car-club-helps-man-with-bucket-list-wishes
  8. My uncle who lives in Nashville gave me a box of Goo Goo Clusters several years ago that were meant to be shipped to France but there was a translation problem into French that caused them to be rejected. Just as tasty as the ones meant for Americans. Maybe tasted even better since they were free.
  9. Sorry about your loss. It's never easy losing a great pet like this one. Watching over the kids was a real plus that you can really appreciate. My dad used to tell about the next door neighbors dog that would keep the neighborhood kids separated from the creek out back by staying in between. The father next door said there was no amount of money that could ever have bought that dog.
  10. Some police departments are allowing online sales including guns in their parking lots. Check with your local department to see if it's ok with them.
  11. They got my favorite cat back in May, I've had them just outside my bedroom window at night but haven't been able to get a shot at one yet. I drew a bead on him with my 12 gauge as he ran away but there was a cow just beyond him and didn't want to hit her with buckshot

    Titans

It's great you were able to take her to that game when you did. My Dad wanted to go to a Predators game before he died so I decided to take him to one the next year for his birthday but he passed away before his next birthday. If you want to do something good for someone you care about, get it done. Never know if tomorrow will get here for you or them.
  13. I have a younger brother and sister that are twins. People always told my Dad "it's no harder to raise twins than to raise a single child since you had them together". Dad always replied with "you obviously don't have twins do you?"
  14. So sorry for your loss. Not much I know to say to help but you will be in my prayers.

    Ruger or S&W

My Ruger LCR .357 goes with me everywhere. Sometimes IWB but mostly pocket carry. My 3 inch GP100 is a great truck gun or hiking in OWB holster. My S&W 686+ is also very sweet and will ride in the same holster as my GP 100. I have a 40 year old S&W model 66 that I break out of the safe for target shooting about twice a year. All great guns, you just need to decide how you plan to use it.

    Too much

Done, hope for the best for you.
  17. Sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad last year and I still think about him every day. The pain gets better but the good memories last forever.
  18. My cousin carries an LCR in .38 special and does pretty well with it. She has arthritis and can't rack the slide on just about anything but her SR 22. Recoil is only a problem after firing several shots. The LCR in .327 should be less recoil especially with low recoil ammo and carries 6 shots instead of 5.
  19. Two different websites give different addresses but both say Middle Tn expo building. That's where it has always been.
  20. My 30 SF hasn't missed a beat. I've been very pleased with it since day one.

    WGD

I'm lusting over the Wiley Clapp myself. I have a 3 inch GP100 already and really want the Wiley Clapp version. Also have the LCR and Super Redhawk Alaskan. I have some Smiths too so I must confess to having WGD myself.
