1.
I hope ya enjoy it man. Machining is in my blood, even though I didn't choose it as a career path as my dad.
Greatly appreciated my friend, many thanks. You definitely have it in your blood, it's a fine piece.
2. Received my Secret Santa package today. I grabbed it and opened it up while I was waiting to pick my daughter up from school since I was early in line. I was blown away, when I opened it up there was a pair of mossy oak merino socks that are the same ones I wear. There was also a set of Magpul FDE PTS MBUS in there but where it got really good was in reading the letter SS wrote. SS had also placed a bubble wrap envelope in the box and after reading the letter I opened it up. I'll be damn it was a handmade deer antler pen; it's probably the coolest damn gift I could get. Kudos on this one KKing, you're one awesome dude and that is some fabulous work. I carry a montblanc signature pen usually in my bag and it just got replaced. Can't say enough good stuff about it but I was so elated when I saw it I took a picture and shared it with my dad and wife, here it is. Merry Christmas everyone and thanks again KKing!
3. Near Ardmore, TN right on the TN/AL line.   Gotcha, didn't know if there was a new source or method. I guess I need to hit up the wife's cousin, he has a good size performance tire and rim shop.  I guess I'll start collecting it up.
4.   I'm sure he will get hooked up along the way, he has some pretty hefty karma due. Sad day though for those family's that lost loved ones, I don't think I could live with it if that decision was handed down for someone I lost.
5. So where is the cheapest place to get lead at?  I think I'm about to start casting for the blk.
6.
Crap. Went to edit my post and it all disappeared. Anyway, my Tek Locs will attach to any of my molle gear.
I noticed that it popped up on my phone, then it disappeared. I can't fit mine, just to big - I might try and dig out an old one off a mag holster and fit it. I think it's made differently.
7. Yea I like the Tek Loc it came with but it's impossible to attach to standard molle.
8. Nice shot, I would also recommend watching the pilates shot - not necessarily for the shot though.
9. Anyone here have any experience with the Blade-Tech molle lok's?  I have an Azwelke sheath for my swamp rat and would like to secure it to my HSGI battle belt rig.  http://www.bladehq.com/item--Blade-Tech-MOLLE-Lok-Gen-3-Small-w--19637   Or heck anybody have any other good recommendations (excluding 550 and zip ties) for securely attaching a taco style sheath to molle points?
10. Welcome to TGO!!  I encourage you to have your wife also join - my wife is slowly coming around to joining.  Probably just to see what I'm looking at or reading all the time.
11. Shipped mine out today as well - should be there on Friday!
12. I was just about to say... we took our two daughters ages 8 and 4 and they loved it.  It's a girls movie, my 4yr old didn't even wiggle in her seat she was enamored by the movie. Me on the other hand, well like I already said it was a girls movie... I was ready to go once I ran out of popcorn  :pleased:
13. WTF... that is definitely a conversation starter.  Is that a "Diplomacy Barrel" starter kit?  I had to look that one up.   http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/federal-premium-5-56-x-45mm-62-grain-centerfire-rifle-ammunition-12500-rounds/pid-616354   Price 2 years ago was $1500 cheaper!!
14. Generally a Gen 3 G26 can be had new for $500 before taxes and TICS.  The extra mag is $25, if it doesn't have night sites I would personally value it between $425 - $500 including the mag.  Low end of the price would be for excessive wear, high round count, etc for trade value the high end would be LNIB.   Of course the above is just my opinion and is worth exactly what you paid for it.
15. I like your 7.5, looks good in that "Carry Configuration" with the Surefire mag.
16. I have a few of the petzl tac tikka's and they have never disappointed - I would highly recommend them.  It utilizes a flip up red filter like spots described.
17. He's just wanting to validate himself through the liberal rag "Esquire". Looks like he's been a Military Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and is an Infantry Officer. I bet he's always been a puss - to much mouth not enough real balls, hence the lame posting for international studies as an Infantry Officer which was 10 years ago. He was probably the O5 at Benning for the pre BN CMD orientation who stood there with his dick in his hand wondering what the F was going on and how he could "manage" all the little pieces... notice I didn't say lead. His numbers once again regarding the UK were quite twisted as he failed to compare the total per capita actual homicide rate of both nations (US 4.5% UK 8.5%) during the same time frame. Murder is murder no matter what the weapon - lets ban knives in the US because damn that's what everyone in the UK is being killed with. If you want to delve into how record keeping of deaths in the UK is jacked up just peruse this blog: http://rboatright.blogspot.com/2013/03/comparing-england-or-uk-murder-rates.html Obesity kills more people in the US than guns i.e., 2010 guns killed 31,3281 while the US Surgeon General says 300,0002 a year die from obesity related deaths. Not to mention obesity annually costs the US health care system $147 million3 while $4.5 billion is being spent on gun control measures; aren't our priorities just a little lop sided. So by all means lets ban the big gulp... hmm oh wait Bloomberg is already trying that. Also doesn't LTC Bateman look rather chunky and red faced (he's on the right below), could be his BMI is high and he's considered obese - just further burdening the US health care system. 1. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/FIREARM_DEATHS_AND_DEATH_RATES.pdf 2. http://www.surgeongeneral.gov/library/calls/obesity/fact_consequences.html 3. http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/adult/causes/index.html What a F' stick.
18. Chalk up another for Federal 147g HST.
19.   I know its a good deal - I wish it wasn't this time of the year or I would have picked one of those up myself.  Some like that I hate to pass up - I made a trade +cash offer but no dice for me.
20. There are 2 excellent deals out there right now for like new Vortex Viper PSTs in 4-16 & 6-24x50 FFP with EBR-1 (MRAD) reticle for $750 each.  These normally go for right at $1k and are excellent optics. If you want the details PM me. http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-viper-pst-6-24x50-ffp-riflescope-with-ebr-1-mrad-reticle
21. I have kept mine in the garage for 10+ years (almost the same age as this thread), like previously said though a goldenrod or similar electric dehumidifier is a must.  Also definitely recommend a bolt down kit into the slab.   Whenever I left town I would always disable the auto garage door and put physical blocks in the track system as a mental/emotional safe guard so the garage couldn't be forced open.
