  1. The “militia” in every state of the union is called the National Guard. I’d be wary of seeking out or aligning with any groups using that term. They are small, fractured, hysterical, and are already on The Man’s radar.
  2. Some folks don’t need to be on the Internet...or maybe even being anywhere near a gun.
  3. There really is a special place in hell for people that target churches or their congregations (of any kind) like this.
  4. I am comfortable with a Glock 22 in the nightstand. 15+1 rounds of 180 gr HST satisfies me. With an extra mag that is more than sufficient. Full grip, easy to handle, no adaptations or need for extended clips or other absurd options.
  5. I don’t think much has changed centuries other than power tools, biscuit joinery, and modern laminates instead of real wood.
  6. It’s hard to beat a Magpul MOE.
  7. As long as I have my own house with my own nightstand next to my own bed, there will be a full sized pistol within. Maximum capacity. Compacts are for carrying.
  8. Millennials are Gen Y. I am of Gen X, or as I like to call it, the last Gen with any sense.
  9. I don’t think “gen” anything applies to 43’s at all...even on Glock’s website. It’s an entirely new model. It’s not even Gen 1 as there is no Gen 2 of this particular line.

  11. Merry Christmas y’all!
  12. My eyes hurt.
  13. Cause they’e the funnest ever.
  14. Basically, you remove the BCG, insert the conversion assembly and commence to shooting. They are very simple devices. I have a CMMG that I haven’t used in years, but recall it to be dependable. Accuracy is acceptable for firing a .22 LR through a barrel not designed for it at close ranges I guess.
  15. I threw a laugh at that but it’s the sad reality. Local folks are finding it harder to get a little something better without going into mortgage until death.
  16. East Tennessee is full.
  17. Here's most everything you need to know about operating the rifle, especially if you're after Nazis and Japs: https://ia800504.us.archive.org/0/items/How_to_Shoot_the_US_Army_Rifle/How_to_Shoot_the_US_Army_Rifle.pdf
  18. There is no doubt others are now making reliable .22 mags that break the 10 round barrier, but we are talking about Glock here.
  19. There is a reason most .22 semis have a 10 round mag and it has nothing to do with politics.
  20. What is MFT? Throw it out and get USGI or Magpul clips.
  21. I do not cast and never have but know enough to recommend melting lead (and breathing the fumes) in a very well ventilated location. Like outside.
  22. Is it a an HRA? 555xxxx is Harrington Richardson. If you pull the op rod back the barrel make and date information will be visible.
  23. Congratulations! Great rifle that you’re going to love. The wood may not be original or matching, but I think you did alright considering the prices these days and you were ready to just get it done. Have yet to reload for one but there is plenty of info out there, especially on the CMP forum, about duplicating M2 ball. I believe IMR 4895, something around 48 grains, and of course, a 150 grain pill.
