  1. Is this a brand new G19?  My understanding is they fixed that problem common to early Gen 4's.
  2.     Hold on there a minute.  I merely attempted to convey that the pistol as it is most likely does not require the services of a gunsmith, nor does it require refinishing in the style implied by your pictures. The OP also cleary stated he did not want it "cleaned up" which most would take to mean refinishing, thus the pictures of the nice work you did are really irrelevant.   Quite often people think guns that have been sitting around for 50 years need to be "checked out", it simply is not true.  I'm trying to save the guy a few bucks.  BTW, are you a professional gunsmith?   While I personally do not like two-tone guns and am enough of a purist that I would rather have a half-rusted, no-finsish classic than having a refinished one, that's just me.  A CZ-50 I might even cold blue myself, a '41 PP, not a chance.  I understand than many people have no problems doing whatever is they do guns, it's their property and they can do as they please.    Do you need any further explanations from me?  If you feel insulted then I recommend you cope with it as that was not my intent.
  3. All this fine old pistol needs is to be shot, no need for a gunsmith "good to go, yep it's fine, now pay me" unless you know it's broken, which I doubt it is.    Near as I can can make out it is a nazi-era PP made around 1941.  It's obviously been left in a holster for too many years, a sad fate for many old bring-backs and other pistols, regardless is looks better and is far more valuable in it's current state than if refinished in some disgusting two-tone or any other spray paint.
  4. What do Scottish scouts have to do with anything?
  5.   But does he really mean it?  Never heard him to be emphatic about anything.   I think he was born a Senator.
  6.     WTF are you going off about?
  7. 1911's don't have clips.  Now that's out of the way (trust me someone else will call you on it, I personally don't care).   I recommend you thoroughly clean it and properly grease the slide rails.  Grease not oil.    If that doesn't work something is broken.  Maybe some bubba had it before you and decided to do a little action work.
  8. My post is better.  ;)   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/66062-gov-haslam-no-need-for-more-state-gun-legislation/
  9. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2013/may/28/gov-haslam-no-need-for-more-state-gun/   But at the Federal level more is needed.  This is a fine example of Haslamspeak.
  10. I think in general they are harder primers.  That may be the cause of your difficulty.
  11.   I remember him saying "when I shot my first moose" like it was nothing.
  12.   Barely is right.  Factory is about 1000 yards from the border, if that.
  13. I honestly cannot tolerate any more "reality" shows.   Discovery Channel you say?
  14. You can, as long as they're .38 Special shotshells.
  15.   Nope, he's going down.  If he did pull it off his ride's gonna end up in the top of a tree on the downward slope like I've seen several times on the Dragon.
  16. Another option to consider is a New England Pardner Pump Protector.  They are often available for around $200 or less, new, from places like Dick's.   Is a Chinese knock-off of an 870 (better in some ways than what passes for the 870 Express version now).  Compatibility "might" be an issue if you wanted to trick it out with 870 parts but from my understanding is not impossible.
  17. I believe it is a Stevens 520 manufactured under their "Riverside Arms Co" brand.
  18.   Who do you think makes the rules?
  19.   AK's are dometically produced as well from imported parts with enough US made parts to satisfy the regulation put into place long before Obama.   This is no longer an "imported" AK.  They are made here.
  20. A little over one year ago, January 2012 to be exact, you could buy a WASR 10 from Classic Arms (online, not the Memphis store) for just a hair over $400 with some extra goodies.  Polish underfolders for $479.
  21. It's amazing to me how so many people get all worked up about such a small percentage of the population.   What's even more disturbing in our democracy is how one person, and that how this all started, can dictate how everyone else must live their lives and what they are required to accept.  That is what is disgusting.
  22. What's all the sudden interest?
  23. Martin physically assaulted Zimmerman.    Zimmerman is on trial for stopping that assault.
  24. The prices for entry-level AK's are still out of sight but there is a great big difference between Yugos and Romanians.
