  1. Congrats it's a nice range. Do you plan to shoot long range?
  2. I shopped for a long time and picked up a large used TL30 from the safe house and then a nice new Superior Supreme SM35 from https://www.parkerssafesandvaults.com/ Parker's is in Shelbyville so it may be closer to you. I couldn't find anywhere that beat his prices and his install service was great.
  3. I'd be a guinea pig today if needed.
  4. One more for the RCBS RC I have a Rockchucker JR that is from the early seventies I think and newer RC, both are well used and are still going strong.
  5. http://fflgundealers.net/match-service-works.html That link has the same number as I have for Ronnie
  6. Ronnie Morris if he is still working. In State I'd look at https://www.dgrguns.com/ If not, I'd ask on the CMP or https://m14forum.com/forums.ph
  7. I have a few camerons and other fancy putters than any sane person should own. I play all of them, I played this one for a couple of years. It has a welded neck and I just don't see the welded necks on the tour or other camerons. 20200325_200805 20200325_200907 20200325_200934 20200325_201006 Link to where you can find it on the SC website. https://www.scottycameron.com/authentication/registry/Details.aspx?rn=A019381&registry-submit=search
  8. I need him to buy my scotty cameron tour rat putter so I can buy another rifle
  9. I will reword my statement. 1,000 yards does not require 50BMG. 50 BMG for 300-1000 yards see Handsome Robs post above ▲
  10. 1000yrds is not "long range" to me.
  11. I shoot LR 1250 a good bit and beyond 1250 when I have access. To me the 50BMG is NICE but not the "king" of LR anymore. The 375/408 Cheytac, 338LM, 416 Barrett and other "big guns" are super nice for "extended" long range. If you are looking to go a mile our just out a little past that I say look into 300PRC or 338LM. My 300wm is fine out to 1760. I haven't shot my 338LM out to a mile yet but I am sure that it would make that shot easier. Look into a few gunsmiths, talk to them, and tell them what you want a rifle to do and go from there. Or go off the shelf with a Barrett MRAD, Accuracy International, or other top shelf company. If you are on FaceBook look to join the extended long range page and ask questions https://www.facebook.com/ELRCentral/ & https://www.facebook.com/groups/261263037837539/?fref=nf https://www.jjrockco.com/ https://www.bugholes.com/ https://www.crescentcustoms.com/ https://www.longriflesinc.com/ Save money for a GOOD scope!
  12. Congrats I've always said that San Diego is a nice place to visit but... get me back home to TN.
  13. Welcome to 37122 Where did you move from?
  14. I have WWI/WWII Luger's and I'd say that if you care about the collector value at all, then I would leave it as is. If you just want a shooter or display that looks better then I would say seek out a few gunsmith's in TN and see what they say. Do all of the numbers match? One https://www.oldsouthrestoration.com/luger-detail-pricing A good one outside of TN https://lugerman.com/
  15. Where is a close meeting spot near downtown Chattanooga to do a FTF deal? Or is there such a place?
  16. Gallatin Gun Club range. may be your best bet... Or buy a huge piece of land in Gallatin for us to shoot a mile on
  17. I believe that Straegic Edge is the best around... but I am biased. SE is about an hour and a half drive from Gallatin. I'm in mount juliet and it takes me about an hour fifteen minuets. Until you get an invite to SE.... If I were you I would look into a couple other options. Check into the Gallatin Gun Club range. I believe that their new range goes out to 400. Dead Zero is about an hour and a half +/- from Gallatin. Their rifle range will go out to 1,000 when it is done (if it is not done already). https://www.deadzeroshooting.com/
  18. Wacko's like this guy are the reason that my MAGA hats collect dust....
  19. Congrats, i t looks very nice. I have an 82G but have never fired it.
  20. That does seem a little steep for a range that only goes out to 400 yards....
  21. Greg at http://www.bugholes.com/articles.asp?ID=83
  22. A walk for me... 1.2 miles. Good news... except for my wallet
  23. You do NEED a 10/22 My newest is a 10/22 with a fedderson barrel and a victor titan stock. It currently has a Leupold Mk4 10x scope on it with a TMR reticle. It shoots CCI Standard Velocity ammo like lasers out to 100. I will work it out to 200+ when I have time.
  24. and I am just trying to gear up to shoot a mile soon. The canton that scope set up is insane.
  25. Anything in the plans to eventually go past 400 yards on the rifle range? It would be really nice for them to go to 1,000+.
