I'll add my 2cents. I believe there are several reasons. One is the new format which some folks probably haven't put forth the effort to get back on here. I think it's fine personally and am still learning to use it. Another is the price of ammo, this is a big factor for many. I know I don't shoot nearly as much as I used to. Heck, I barely shoot at all these days. I don't like talking about firearms when the current situation pisses me off. Which leads to another, times are tough. I don't mean like Clinton or Carter years tough, things are way worse than many realize. For some reason we avoid reality on here, I'm sure there's many reasons, but we do. Might as well go somewhere that talks about the wonderful effects that are saving the unicorn and where love prevails over terror. We can ignore reality but we cannot ignore the results of ignoring reality. The results are starting to show their head and we will all have poop on us when it hits the fan. Lastly, I believe at this point, everyone is either a conservative or a liberal. Because conservatives have compromised for so long that anyone in between enables the liberals. As such, for a conservative it is a complete waste of time to engage the Libs. The left has divided and spewed hate for so long, nearly everything is negative. Wages are down, taxes are up, utilities, food, insurance, costs of all goods. Reality. Not to mention the seemingly effective takeover of this countries being. Not to sound pessimistic, just real. Of course I could be wrong, perhaps most people are out shooting and having a good time. I'm going to go dust off my unused firearms now.

It would be better. The bugs are brutal. I'm at a lul in the swarming. I've battled bees and stink bugs so far, I'm sure Asian beetles are next. I haven't seen those that you have but have a neighbor that had a black fly problem.

Very nice! The down side to attracting wildlife is the nuisance aspect. All animals are hungry. Bear will rip down bird feeders and go through your trash. They are timid (to a point) and scare off easily. But when food is involved they can be more stubborn. Bird seed must be like candy, I've got deer at my feeders damn near every night. Then they take a walk through and snack on the garden. Great pic of the bear!

Spell check :/ The tree huggers have ruined gas and our method of manufacturing ethanol actually uses more energy then it saves. Idiots! ive have more bad gas in the last few years than my 40 + before. We are without a doubt in an idiocracy! Not to mention the spill proof spouts that cause you to spill more. I've been looking at tractors for years and have boiled it down to the biggest lowest sitting tractor I can find. I have a lot of steep property and have nearly tipped everything I've had on it. Min actually considering a Mahindra over the kubota for weight, HP and price. If your land isn't that steep though, I would go big!

My S&W 686 bound up one time, I took it apart and found the slightest amount of gunk and dust in the mechanical area. Cleaned it out and it is as smooth as butter. It could be that simple.

It's a beautiful thing! Congrats! I was like a teenager when we got our place. Laughing out loud when I was shooting the 1911 by the barn after cutting grass. Shooting the 22 pistol as I passed by some targets while cutting grass and so on. It is absolutely awesome to shoot at the house. Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
