Eagle Industries still makes one...for an SBR: http://www.bluelinegear.com/product/Eagle-AIII-SBR-LE Have you ever seen a SneakyBag? It can hold carbines and rifles of various sizes without screaming "Lookit, GUN!" Couple of skateboard patches stuck to the side, and Bob's your uncle... http://www.sneakybags.com/store/

Nite Sites -vs- mounted light?
Spurholder replied to charlessummers's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Both. Ameriglos and Surefire. -
I met quite a few of those vets when I was a kid (many of them worked at the local Ford dealership back in the 60's and 70's). Great bunch of guys.

I'm skeptical; however, I thought Kyle Lamb had lost his mind when I first saw pics of the sights he designed for the S&W VTAC M&P's. Then I held one of those pistols and looked down the slide... I don't see what this offers over, say the Redback One sights. But to each his own.

Like mmirob stated, 1.5 is the target size for jeans, and 1 1/4 for dress pants. Ares Gear Ranger belts are nice.

I've got to find something legal to hunt at night.

Check out this guy's thread - great pics, too. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?94628-223-Barnes-70-Grain-TSX-Performance -
Great deal! Thanks for posting.

Side saddle - Shells up or down?
Spurholder replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Raven Concealment and Ares came up with something a little different...worth taking a look at: http://www.aresgear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34&products_id=115 -
+1 for the X300...only one problem. Discontinued. Never fear - the X300 Ultra (and its 500 lumens) is readily available for the same coin - $209.30. And worth every penny. Link: http://www.lapolicegear.com/surefire-x300-ultra-light.html

Permit Renewal by Mail in 15 Days
Spurholder replied to mikegideon's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Just got my notice in the mail a couple of days ago. I was thinking about just mailing in this one...now it sounds like a plan! Thanks for posting. -
Hell yeah. And I probably can do Lasik or PRK on the cheap as well :)

AS if any of you need a reason; however... Be advised that Glock will soon discontinue all "C" models, and the regular Gen3 G20/G21 is soon to be gone as well (the "SF's" are safe and sound). I don't think a formal announcement has been made, but from what I understand, it's a done deal.

^ This. The LE6920 is a better rifle than the S&W, and leaps and bounds above the Bushy. Very good price to boot! Buy with confidence from CDNN.

My EDC is a Surefire P2X Fury - 500 lumens. Getting the P3X model (advertised at 1,000 lumens) after the first of the year.

Raven Concealment System's Phanton is the gold standard for OWB carry. http://www.ravenconcealment.com

Don't worry about the finish - just drive the gun. Holster it, don't worry about it. If you must have a pristine handgun, just buy another one.

Electronic Ear-Pro recs?
Spurholder replied to PolePosition's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Electronic muffs don't factor the "real world" NRR correctly, for whatever reason. I have SWATTAC's and love them. -
Hey fellas, just did a AKO White Pages search. The guy pictured in the ah..."modified" Army Service Uniform and referenced in multiple posts in this threat is NOT the author of the Esquire hit piece. AKO says the REAL LTC Bateman is Regular Army, Infantry, and on a joint assignment. Having said all that, reading comprehension isn't his strong suit, clearly. Neither is knowing what and when to speak. Just saying.

THIS. 100 times THIS. Blackhawk's sales campaign has convinced most of the gun-owning populace that SERPA's are the mil-spec shizzle. Nothing could be further from the truth. Those things are a ND waiting to happen.

In the 5.56mm realm, don't discount the amazing Barnes TSX...especially the 70 grain variety. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?94628-223-Barnes-70-Grain-TSX-Performance
