  1. Very glad you were not injured and the only damage was to the fire box. I'm guessing the Brisket was well done also. A buddy of mine keeps a close eye on his when he is using it and if the temps begin to go up for no reason he does do a check on it. He has had a few similar issues but nnot as bad as yours.........again, glad no one was hurt and camper is ok...............................
  2.  She needs to have a statue placed next to the largest Garbage Land fill in the country. That way a bull dozer won't have to work very hard to throw it with the rest of the trash and bury it......................jmho
  3. There are many people using our Armed Forces to profit from. Look at the guy from Wounded Warriors and what he did. They are playing on the hearts of the American people who have the utmost respect for our Men and Women in Uniform. I have never given to Wounded Warriors because I never trusted them. I do give to other organizations that do help our wounded Heroe's when I can and will till I die...............jmho
  4.   I guess all law enforcement agencies are not alike in regards to policy. I do know that Cheatham County does allow the officers to have descretion on the DUI/DWI calls but like your department Domestic Violence is zero tolerance. My son lives down there and some of his friends have been found asleep in their cars in middle of the night and the officer does have the descretion to arrest or not. My son has been called out a few times in the middle of the night by a friend and the officer waits till my son arrives with his tow truck and he tows the vehicle and takes his friend home and tows the vehicle to his lot till the next day. He is not allowed to leave the vehicle with the driver.........................
  5. What if the LEO just woke him up and allowed him to call a friend to come and get him like the did in the times when I was growing up? Would the LEO be violating protcol call then also?
  6. What if the officer just woke him up and allowed him to call a friend to come and get him. Would the LEO still violate protocol?
  7. NIB in the 35th edition is $1,035.00 but don't have a 37th edition
  8. I will never understand how the legal system operates when it comes to DUI's or DWI's. If a person is driving down a road and swiving and is pulled over by an LEO and is drunk that person was operating a motor vehicle with under a DUI or DWI depending on the state. A person that is parked in a public parking area and asleep and not operating a vehicle of endangering anyones lives where does the DUI/DWI take place?  I don't even see where a public drunk charge could even come into play as long as the person in in the confines of their vehicle and not out staggering around? The laws have been changed so much that it is all about money and not legallity any longer.....................jmho
  9. Just my  :2cents: on this is, there is good and bad in all religions. There are good and bad in non religious people.  I know some Muslims that are not at all radical and would never become radicalized regardless of what the Quran says. I also know folks that are not religious( Not Atheists) just not religious that are good upstanding people in their community. I also know some Muslims that my good Muslim friends have warned me about and I know some religious people that are in church everytime the door is open but treat people like S--IT in public and the work place. So my conclusion is treat others as you want to be treated, always beware of your surroundings and stay armed and alert....................

  11. If you want a truly enjoyable trip on a float you might want to venture down to Kingston Springs and check out Tip-A-Canoe Rentals and float the Scenic Harpeth River. The float through the Narrows Of the Harpeth is really an enjoyable calm float. They take to to drop off location and suply you with all you need and they will pick you up at take out location. Great enjoyable day of river floating................jmho
  12. Rest in Peace Mr Haggert. Another great singer song writer of my younger years has moved on leaving just a few left. It is fact no one lives forever but their legacies do and he has a great legacy we old guys can continue to enjoy. Kris, Willie, Hank Jr. Charlie Daniels and a couple more are the last of a dying breed and when they have gone on Country Music will also be gone and this junk of today will still be just punk junk..............jmho
  13. She is precious for sure and evidently very smart to. I only had boys but I started all my boys out at about that age and they passed what they were taught down to there children which were also boys. The Great grand children are still a little young but they will also be taught as they get older.................
  14. I don't want to second guess any posts here but I think the gun store owner made the right call on this one. I trust my gut feelings a lot and most times I am right. He went with his gut and it turned out to be the right move.  There is little doubt that after the fight with the Hockey coach and dropping out of school and then going straight to a gun store to purchase a gun is a disaster in the making...........jmho
  15. (QUOTE)   Donald told police that people in society are a threat to him and he must be vigilant.   That statement he made would have been more than enough to have him sent for a mental evaluation in MHO.......... :stare:
  16. A foursome of male golfers, all in their 40's, discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters, because the waitresses were young, good looking, had big breasts and wore short-shorts. >>>>> Ten years later, at age 50, the golfing buddies once again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters because the food and service was good, they had many televisions to watch the games on, and the beer selection was excellent. >>>>> >>>>> Ten years later, at age 60, the foursome again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters, because there was plenty of parking, they could dine in peace, and it was good value for the money. >>>>> >>>>> Ten years later, at age 70, they discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters, because the restaurant was wheelchair accessible and had a toilet for the disabled. >>>>> >>>>> Ten years later, at age 80, the friends discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters, because they had never been there before.
  17. This reminds me of back when I was just a kid growing up about 35 miles due west of Chicago in a small town called Lemont. My mother was raised in the south and my father grew up in Hickory Corners Michigan and was a truck driver and my mother was a waitress in a truck stop in Tennessee and that is how they met. They married and settled in Lemont which was about in the middle between hometowns. After the four sons were born, me being the youngest we began coming south every year on vacation because my father enjoyed the south a lot more than Michigan Plus most of his family was scattered to the 4 winds across the country. My father had put up a flag pole in our from yard and flew and American flag for years. When I was about 6 years old we came south and while here he purchased  Confederate Flag. When we got back home he put the flag on the pole just below the American flag. Those flags flew on that pole for the next 11 years till my father decided he had had enough of living up north. He and my mother decided it was time to move and south was the direction. At the ripe age of 17 I was ripped up and transplanted in Cheatham County Tennessee on  huge ranch/farm. had to get out of bed before sunup and work stock, hogs chickens, cows and ducks before school. The adjustment was over whelming at first but as I adjusted I found it much more educational then the life up north.    That flag did draw a lot of looks as folks would be out of Chicago on a Sunday afternoon drive and they would stop and ask about it trying to guess what state flag it was. Just to keep it simple my father would just say Tennessee. Some folks would just make a face and move on and others would smile as if to say where is Tennessee? After living down here about 6 months you couldn't drag me back to Illinois. I would go back once a year to celebrate opening day of Squirrel and Dove Season with my life long hunting buddy and then come back home to Tennessee.     My father put up a new flag pole when we moved south and it to flew both flags until the day he passed away. I just wanted to post this because my father was a man raised in the north but his heart was in the south and he wanted folks to know it and that was the reason for flying it. I saw him look up at that flag on the pole in Illinois and smile and get in his car and drive to work. The smile was knowing soon he would be were his heart was. Thanks for the post FITTY..........loved the video too!!!
  18. He knows he can't win but wants to be a spoiler to keep Cruz from getting votes needed to catch Trump. He is a scum bag politician probably hoping to get picked as Trumps VP or a place somewhere in his cabinet anyway...................jmho
  19. I had 4X4's most of my life and the last one was an S-10 Blazer. Biggest piece of junk I ever owned. 4 Wheel always had issues because it was all vacuum operated and had to stay after vacuum leaks all the time. Give me an old K10 from 1970's or a Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 from back then with the NP 205 transfer cases and I would be totally happy. Only had an issue one time with a NP box and it was a stretched chain. I replaced the chain and drove the Ramcharger another 70,000 miles many of them off road.............jmho
  20. Ok I am stuck on one issue and it is not the inscription on the firearm. It was in the link of the OP. It read as follows:   Attorneys for the victim, Daniel Shaver, argued Brailsford was malicious during the shooting and raised questions about the gun used.   The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said Shaver was on his hands and knees when Brailsford shot him five times inside a Mesa hotel.   If the victim was not armed and on his hands and knees why did the LEO shoot him 5 times with an AR15? That would seem to me to be far more important than what was engraved of the AR15..............jmho
  21. May be a stupid question but have you checked the fuses. Should have a 25 amp fuse that powers those units.....just a suggestion......
  22.   That is just what every Soccer Mom needs to get all her errands done each day if you hear them talk about not enough hours in a day............... :bowrofl:
  23. I don't know how I will react if anything happens to Kasey that would require me to make a decision that would require losing her. We have been best friend's for over 16 years. She goes with me every where I go and she thinks the jeep belongs to her and she lets me drive her around. I have a few very close buddy's and one of them mentioned his concern about the companionship there is between me and the mutt but he said I am afraid if I lose either one of you I will lose both. If anything should happen to me he will be the one that will take over her care. He knows all of the special things I do for her such as cooking her foods and only giving her Jacks Links jerky snacks. She gets nothing dog food related cause I won't let the Chinese poison my mutt.
  24. I know people can sometimes change their minds about things but I have found that politicians only change their minds when they need your vote! A Leopard never changes his spots. He just learns how to be better at using them for camouflage. I don't trust flip floppers at all  and that is what he is. He looks at his polls and sees he needs a big boost and what better place to look than the GUN Owners of this country? I mean there are over 200 million of them to try and pull votes from............jmho
