  1. It has that now, you only have to have IMG tags if you are in the text editor, the WYSIWYG editor has an image and a site link.  No, what Tapatalk brings to the table is that it hosts the images on its servers when you use its editor.  These images can be uploaded from your computer, tablet or phone directly into the post with out it having to be in a photo hosting site or having a link from another web page first.
  2. My problem is not so much posting, which is a bit of a hassle, but seeing.  Our firewall blocks many of the free picture posting sites such as photobucket, so I can't see or upload from that site here unless I use my cell phone or am at home.  While some sites allow hosting pictures, such as castboolits, it does take up a lot of server space so can understand not wanting to host them.  Tapatalk is a decent workaround for those that don't have or want a photobucket (or the like) account, it allows you to upload pictures while you post, hosting the pic on their servers.  But that is its only redeeming feature IMO, it's a bit clunky to use on an everyday basis.
  3. Someone beat you to it: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/96322-not-allowed-to-use-gun-for-self-defense-denies-attacker-right-to-fair-trial/
  4. I almost hate getting into these conversations, people are too wrapped up on color (brand).  Both the Dillon and the Hornady presses are great for what they are, but I don't reload like that so right off the bat I am at a disadvantage.  I use a Lee Turret press, not so much because its decently fast, great quality, low cost etc etc...it just fits my reloading style.  I always hear people say the use their progressives only for pistol, and that's great, but do you really need to spend all that much for pistol?  Here is why I stay with a turret (chose it because it was on sale to be honest).   I deprime all my brass before I clean it, before I used to use the sizing die to deprime, so that was one step in a progressive I would have to skip in the sequence.  Now I use a universal die, so I now size in the turret after cleaning so I could use that step.   After sizing, I then prime all my cases usually either 20 (rifle) or 50 (pistol) at a time. Again, this would not be easy with a progressive since it would want to index to the next step in the sequence.   Then, I drop (pistol, and plinking rifle) or weigh (rifle, hunting, SD, pistol SD too) powder into all the cases.  Same as above, progressive wants to progress.   After a quick look see into all the cases to make sure all have powder and none are different levels (double) now I seat the bullet.  See above for progressive.   Crimp is as needed, not all my reloads get a crimp on an FCD, some I give a slight roll crimp in the step above.  Progressive..ditto, wants to move.   Now for the most important (to me) things I like turrets over progressives, caliber changes.  With additional turrets caliber swap takes just a few minutes, seconds for the dies, the rest is setting up the powder dropper.  Then there is the shell plates, I find that they flex, and, especially with Lee, some dies don't size the brass right due to the flex.  I have turrets for all my calibers, even most rifle, but do use a single stage for some 2 die sets I have.  And last is cost, first the new setup is way over what a turret press will cost, then there are the caliber conversion kits, Dillon around $50 per kit, Hornady around $30-$35ish for a shell plate and bushing, Lee? $10 for the turret, case holder comes with their die sets.
  5. Midsouth has these in stock for $76.99 for 500 (about .15¢ ea), http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/000042255TIP/22-Caliber-point224-Diameter-50-Grain-Black-Poly-Tip-500-Count-(Overrun) These things are great for varmints, squirrel, small game etc, I got two orders of these not too long ago and I am already out. I happen to be looking for something else and there they were in stock, can't get much cheaper except FMJ bullets (around .09¢) which you can't hunt with. Edit: if you need plinking ammo: http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/00129XM193/5half6-mm-55-Grain-Boat-Tail-With-Lake-City-Headstamp-Brass-20-Rounds not bad at .32¢ a piece, and you get some good brass for the blacktips :)
  6. He should file a lawsuit if they can determine the command didn't come from him.  He should also report it to the NTSB to see if there have been other incidents of unintended starts.
  7. Sorry, just had to  ; but I get what you're saying and I agree.
  8. I have to agree about the speed vs accuracy bit.  I normally don't shoot more than one round, so it needs to be accurate. On the follow up shot, if needed, I could take a couple of extra seconds since its usually to dispatch a critically hit deer.  For shotguns, on dove, yes you want that pump action; no auto for me, waste too much ammo  .
  9. I've never broke a lee pin, they always pop up even when I missed a berdan primed case.  Keep us posted on Lee's CS.
  10. Just imagine what their opposition is like.  The peshmerga is the only outfit that had any semblance of training out there.
  11. Fairly rounded here, like the old saying: knowledge is power.  I'm fairly sure I can fit in just about anywhere and be an asset.  But I may try and make a go at being out on my own for awhile, I find that for some reason stupid people survive.
  12. If you actually managed to evacuate the projectiles, it would be like launching javelins.
  13. Yea, I definitely double check my ammo now that I have a 300Blk and a .277 WLV both of which are just barrel changes from 5.56. I guess I'll look for some bands to use on them. The straight wall is because the neck is higher in a 5.56, so after expansion all that is left is straight wall. Here is a better milling job from another incident which shows the 5.56 chamber better:
  14. You could always just make something like this: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2012/10/portable-bd-workmate-reloading-bench/ Or just buy one: http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/0000690688/Reloading-Stand- I got one of these so I could deprime my cases while watching TV. Not much storage though so the DIY one is better for actual reloading.

    Bad maintenance, not enough lube?
  16. Yes Sir, I keep gas, oil, propylene glycol, and other potentialy dangerous things there.  I was worried he would injure himself and hire an attorney like you to help him steal err, I mean sue me. So I figured I would go in there and make sure he was OK and he decided to attack me, and what do you know, I guess he had you on retainer.
  17. Well, don't count me in.  My shooting range is about 30 minutes from my house.  Its about 8 acres only and all I can do is hunt and shoot there, maybe plant an acre or two on some of the flatter terrain.
  18. I setup a 50 yard range to shoot my handguns and do any load workups on in a valley surrounded by hills.  I can also zero my rifles at shorter ranges such as 26 yards for my .308, 50 yards for my iron sights for my ARs etc then shoot at 100 yards, hill to hill accross my normal shooting range,  to see where it's hitting.  100 yards or so is probably the max I can safely shoot target, maybe 150 yards or so for game.
  19. I think he is a might late for an April's fool joke,  Oh wait wait, it was supposed to be in a purple font.  If the right to a fair trial was more important than defending yourself they would of made it the 1st or 2nd Amendment instead of the 6th!

I do pay extra attention to my hunting rounds, I figure the game is worth the effort.

That would work once you get a good load worked up for said rifle, but I mostly stick with 1:7 or 1:8 so it can shoot varied weight bullets on my ARs.  I don't shoot bench so keeping it within a 4" circle is fine for any weapon I may use as an SD weapon.  On my hunting rifles (270 & .308) I try and stick with about 150 grain bullets and they have a 1:12 (I think), the new .277 WLV barrel came with 1:11 and heard it does well with up to 120 grain pills.  I have not yet started making rifle specific loads though, even for my 300BLK I reload for both the 10.5" (1:7) and 16" (1:7) using the same load.  Maybe if I started some long distance shooting or benchrest shooting I would change my methods but haven't got the itch for that yet.
  22. That's a sleeper compartment right? In that rig I would carry my 10.5" barreled 300Blk pistol, you could swing it around, in the cab even, without bumping the muzzle on everything. Heck I might even replace all that padding with Kevlar, or at least some of the lower portions; that back cover would make a great ballistic shield if layered in Kevlar.
  23. #3 is in Crossville, billed as the worlds biggest treehouse.
  24. I seen those, but it requires water pressure to work and I don't want to leave the hose running.  I do have an owl that makes noise when something passes by, but don't know if it's water proof.
  25. That's the exact jig I got, but then I bought a gas block with three set screws.  I hope the drill guide will fit into the actual gas block for the third hole, I plan to drill the first dimple which is most always directly opposite the gas port, and depending on the measurement between the first two may drill the second, then I will use the gas block for the third once I screw in the set screw(s).
