  1. I’m hoping Trump is just placating the dems but has no real intentions of a universal background check. I haven’t kept up 100% lately... is he talking universal checks now or still just the red flag law? He can talk it up all day long until it blows over and never actually do it. That’s what I think. I am a strong Trump supporter UNLESS he pulls something like universal checks. If he does that, then I believe he’s a one-termer.
  2. Yeah, it seems to me that the whole purpose of a Red Flag Law is to circumvent due process and individual rights.
  3. I’m willing to compromise with them. I really am... let’s start with abolishing the NFA, and I might forgive them for stepping on the Constitution. Today’s bump stock is tomorrow’s pistol brace - is next week’s drum mag - is next month’s semiautomatic. No gives!
  4. If popularity and the market is what defines the 2A then I better hide my old revolvers and relics I never owned a bump stock, but I don’t agree with the banning of that piece of plastic either. A chip away is a chip away
  5. Oh, it sounds like yours is missing the suppressor! 300BO pistol suppressed... what’s not to love
  6. Good thing he didn’t put a regular stock on that without a stamp... he would have been doing something illegal !!
  7. I dunno, people said the same thing in 2016! It seems to work for him
  8. Hmm... I thought it a bit odd today when the mayor (I think?) said several times that antifa wasn’t welcome there for their planned upcoming rally. I wonder if there is some connection that they know of.
  9. Seems like it’s just muddying the waters to me. I’m generally not really in favor of laws that make things more complex and harder to understand. So $100 and fingerprints gives someone access to open carry and state parks above the privileges of the new concealed carry permit? Since I would keep the “EHCP”, there’s essentually no change... right?
  10. That looks sweet! I have a 110 that is amazigly accurate. Nice rifle!
  11. Cool! I got my email on the same day, and I’m about 700 numbers behind you. I’m looking forward to owning a piece of history. I was beginning to wonder about my papework as well, haha
  12. Mmmm. Now I’m hungry again. I’ll check it out
  13. Hmmm... “remodel a room for a gun cave...” I like it! I also like your build @Gotthegoods
  14. Uncle Ted’s take on CWD (NSW - language)
  15. Wow, not good! I have a lease in Carroll County not too far from those affected. I hope they can get it under control or reverse the spread. Not good news at all.
  16. This thread is a good re-read. I might have to get some Jerusalem Artichokes I live on top of a 40ac wooded hill with friends and family on nearby hills and valleys. I’ll stay put... I just hope I’m home if IT ever happens we have chickens, a garden and a natural spring. The driveway is steep but still the easiest access point to the top. I need to develop our plan a little more, but I feel like we have a good start. “My hill” would be easy to defend in the winter because I can see a long way. In the summer it’s as thick as any East TN woods, so that would be challenging. A lot of people know about our spring. It was once used by a lot of locals years ago, so it could be a bad thing if it draws attention and vistiors to our land. It is way down at the bottom of the hill under a rock cliff though, so at least our homestead area would be insulated from any traffic. It does concern me though.
  17. I was going to see it yesterday while stuck on a layover, but the line at the ticket booth was huge. I don’t usually stand in lines unless my wife tells me to, so I passed. I will see it though eventually.
  18. I have the Goal zero Nomad 20 with the power pack. The power pack consists of rechargable AA batteries. You can charge the power pack by day and then plug your phone, tablet, etc into the charged power pack, or you can just use the recharged batteries in something else. It works good. I got it for extended backpacking / remote hunting trips, but it serves double duty for a power outage. https://www.amazon.com/Goal-Zero-Nomad-Solar-Panel/dp/B00GU64KV8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1544976611&sr=8-3&keywords=Goal+zero+nomad
  19. I’ve built all of mine. Most are moa-ish or better at 100yds with an optic. One is a little more loose on the target as are my 300bo’s and the pistol. I do have one 5.56 that I built from a collection of cheap parts and an Alpa Shooting Sports barrel that is sub-moa at 200 with cheap Herters HP . It’ll print a tight little group at 200 with my Vortex. I love that rifle.
  20. Wow, Defender so sorry to hear. Any chance it could have been a tragic accident that just looked like suicide? Although I’m sure many are just spur of the moment lapses of reason to escape the moment
