  1. Here's mine, it's a Gas piston Sig and I love it, even with the 7 1/2 inch barrel, but I want to get a budget model to use as a truck gun. I think I want the same size for that use.
  2. I've got two Bersas, an Thunder 9 Pro and a Thunder .22LR. I really regret selling my Bersa 380 Also, as far as .22 cal goes...not my self defense weapon of choice, but when i was studying criminal justice some yeasrs ago, I was really surprised to read of the numbe rof people who were killed by .22s.
  3. Have talked myself into "needing" an inexpensive AR truck gun and a 9mm pocket pistol. I prefer to trade for at lkeast one of these, and just havent seen what I want yet, at least for trade.
  4. My AR pistol is kinda higher end, so I've been keeping my eyes out to find a cheap AR pistol truck gun to try to trade for, but at this price I may have to spring for one.
  5. Wow! Thats fast!!!
  6. I'm getting 90.12 and 12.16 from Comcast. But only after arguing with them for over a year about the 30 i was getting before. They rented me a modem some time ago, and then sent me a ad saying I was getting up to xx speed. I wasnt and when I questioned them, of course they said "oh thats UP TO, and it must be your equipment that isn't good. If you buy the next higher package you can get up to XXX speed. Did some research and discovered they rented me a modem(DOCSIS 2) that wasnt capable of XX speed, much less XXX. Buying a higher cost package would not have helped one bit, but they insisted that is what was necessary. I then bought my own DOCSIS 3 modem that WAS capable of the higher speeds. It iincreased some but not a great deal, still far short of their promise. After repeated calls over a year, I FINALLY talked to a tech who knew what be was doing. He made some adjustments in my account to reflect that i had a modem capable of those speeds and right then I started getting 89-90 speeds. Thanks for that, but COMCASt sucks and lies mostly. I STILL think I should be getting faster speeds, lol. Im paying for Blst and they say up to 150. Well Im running a pretty fast computer i7, and 16 GB RAM and a DOCSIS 3 modem...
  7. I'm covered under LEOSA (§ 926C) and while it does apply to all 50 states, there are a few instances where a HCP holder can carry where a LEOSA may not. " While LEOSA is a federal law allowing you to carry in all states, it does not preempt all state laws. Under LEOSA you are “prohibited from possessing or attempting to possess a firearm in a federal facility, which is broadly defined in the statute to include ‘a building or part thereof owned or leased by the federal government, where federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties.’”1 You also cannot carry (if prohibited by state or local laws) on state or local government property, installations, buildings and park lands. However, if you have a state carrying a concealed firearm (CCF) permit (or are on official duty), you can carry in federal parks and through GFSZs within that state. It all depends on whether you are carrying under the federal LEOSA statute or state CCF permit.2 But still, for the purposes of this thread, if one is eligible for both, then that is the way to go if you travel.
  8. I sympathize. I've had one stolen out of my house several years ago, probably by someone my family knew. It was a Colt Commander in pristine condition I got when I was in the USAF. Not a family heirloom, yet, but it would have been. Police report made but no luck in recovery. I keep hoping it will go through a gun store someday and get tagged as stolen...
  9. I dont know why, and I cant explain it, but Im just not a fan of striker fired pistols. I have the P-01 and the P-09 and love them both.
  10. Me too! At Frankfurt airport in the 70's the sub machine guns stood out a little, as did the German Shepherd dog inside the terminal. It does show ya take terror seriously though. Another thing the Germans did back then was publish wanted posters of terrorists with pictures of multiple terrorists on one poster. Once they killed a terrorist, they republished the poster, but rather than remove the killed guys picture they just drew a red x on his picture, lol.
  11. At 17, I had a wife with a baby on the way, and a future of crappy gas station jobs. Bad circumstances? Yes, sure they were, but they were of my own creation. My plans prior to this situation was Army ROTC college followed by a commission in and career in the army. Well after screwing that up due to a misspent youth, lol, I enlisted in the USAF the week I turned 18. Went to basic then the police academy at Lackland AFB, Texas. It was tough on the lower enlisted salary back then. I had to work a couple part time civilian jobs in addition to my USAF job for a few years. I grew up in the military after my enlistment. Many times it sucked and many times I hated it. But overall, I truly believe it saved my life. It certainly instilled in me many qualities that I see as very positive: loyalty to one's country and fellow service members and friends, , an appreciation for the US Constitution, a strong work ethic, a respect for authority, and many more than I have time to mention here. I consider myself fortunate that I was able to stay for a career of 20 years, 14 of which was overseas. Im considered fairly successful in my post military career, leading over 50 employees in providing service to others, largely because of the values instilled in me during those military years. Moral of this story: It's not for everyone of course, but the military can be a good place for a young man to find his head and get a sense of direction in life. Its also worth trying hard to get into if at first you dont succeed.
  12. While we are not where we should be as regards carry laws, we not only have come a long way in a relatively short period of time, we are making progress, although perhaps not as fast as some of would wish. Dont forget that we are also a State full of immigrants from other States, like California and New York. They often bring their values with them when they move here. I like Constitutional carry, but failinmg that, I like the enhanced type as a second choice, with not many restrictions on where to carry. I swear, here in Tennessee, one can get into serious trouble by accident, i.e. parks carry. One never knows when and where a school uses a park.
  13. Watched this last night on Netflix. Hard to watch, but incredible movie! Loyalty to one's battle buddies is something many civilians will never understand.
  14. I ran across it yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. A true story, and it ended with an unbelievable no Irish deaths, according to what I saw online. http://time.com/4408017/the-siege-of-jadotville-the-true-story-netflix-film/
  15. Just wanted to say that the new server sure seems quite a bit faster...could just be me, but it sure seems to load faster...
  16. I actually like my ORCA better. Not that I'm dissatisfied with the TGO RTIC at all, but the ORCA 27 oz size seems a better fit for me and I swear it keeps colder longer than the RTIC, I may look into getting it engraved or something. David, is the TGO logo something we can use on our own? If so, I may get it put on my ORCA/ If not, I understand.
  17. Yeah, I might try the thermik one, the other doesn't look vehicle cup holder friendly...thanks.
  18. Love that handle, but it looks like it will cover the whole TGO logo. I might get one for my other cup that has no logo, but I need to figure out a handle for the TGO cup. Gotta be one out there...
  19. Got mine yesterday! I love the looks of it. There isd a handle available for both the 20 & 30 oz models. Does anyone have one? I really would like to get one, but Im afraid the handle might cover the TGO logo...anyone know?
  20. I like this idea, and I'll dig out some neat pics to post...
  21. thats what the news is saying for sure. Sad. The military, throughout the years has been the ones to keep Turkey as secular as it is. Erdogan would have them become just like many of the other extremist Muslim countries.
  22. Cool, just ordered a 30 oz!
  23. Just wanna make sure I dont miss the order...we havent started yet have we?
  24. I like morale patches and have several. Ive found the PVC do well and look good too. Im in.
  25. Just double checked their web site and it lets me add it to the checkout cart and doesn't say back ordered or anything like that, so, I think yes, its shipping...I also emailed to ask, but haven't got a response yet.
