Yep, that's what I remember the most about handling my friend's dad's Python back in the early 80's. Thing of beauty.

You might check out the Blink camera's that are owned by Amazon. Several family members have them and the video quality is good, battery life is very good, the app is pretty stable, and no monthly charges.

Thanks for the heads up! Going to try and make a visit.

I think KNOW there would be much less "general population" support for Universal Background Checks if the correct name for the proposal would be used. As most gun owners know, the proper name is "Federal Firearm Registration". I despise the conniving political and media lowlifes.

Do they do this all the time, or only if weight is detected in the back seat?

Just trying to be helpful with my comments so please take them that way. When I've lost something I sit down in a quiet place and retrace my steps from the last known place I had the item and the chain of events that occurred afterwords. Being that was a month ago, this is probably more difficult. Normally you would say it has to be somewhere inside the house since the car is there, but is there any chance you had the key in your pocket and lost it somewhere else when you were in a different car? Any chance it's in the pocket of some pants you hardly ever wear? Anyway, good luck.

I know this is not a new subject, but seeing the amount of public outrage over the recent mass shootings again has me wondering why the general population doesn't get outraged to the same degree by the number of drunk driving deaths each year? I did a quick look at some numbers in order to compare the two. 2006 to 2017 = 1,358 mass shooting deaths 2006 to 2017 = 131,586 drunk driving deaths That's 95 times as many deaths during the same period caused by alcohol, yet where's the outrage? I know the politicians have an agenda in order to push for gun control in connection with the mass shootings, but I guess people don't REALLY care about people getting killed, it's just an agenda for them as well. I guess getting drunk and driving is socially acceptable, and if some people get killed, oh well...

Currently that's the case, but the left is more bent than ever on removing AR/AK's from the general population. Maybe they're more worried for a left vs right event rather than trying to stop mass shootings.

I recently came across this video on the subject you mentioned. It's long but interesting on a civil war between the left and right https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJh7Ye1Qvc8.

Yep, they want the drama. I'm not a LEO but fully understand that the "backstop risk" you have to take is totally different when the shooter is firing on everyone vs. only firing at the LEO(s).

Not trying to wish any bad luck on you by hiring help like that, but since accidents happen you open yourself up to for financial responsibility if they get hurt on your property. If you can prove they did something negligent, you'd probably be okay, but you'd still be out some money in the process if you get sued.

Very nice! A lot of folks don't realize how much work goes into a handmade quilt or any sewn garment. My DIL's mother does a ton of quilting, and my wife sews and some embroidery. It's a labor of love for the maker and an item to be cherished for the recipient.

Sounds like a nice trip. Stay safe and hope you guys don't have any mechanical troubles along the way!

That along with the vinyl landau top. I'm guessing there's a good segment of the population have no idea what that is.

Who's used "ProPex" Plumbing? Any plumbers here?
Trekbike replied to GlockSpock's topic in General Chat
I currently have all copper in my house and in process of a DIY master bath remodel. Having to move some plumbing around and have decided to use PEX. I'm going the route of the PEX Stainless Steel clamp method since I won't be doing that many connections. The tool for that is much cheaper at around $50 depending on the brand you buy. When you say you want to replace all the piping in your house, do you have all PEX or copper beyond what we see in the photos? I assume you intend on dealing with any leaks as they happen in the future and not intend on replacing non-leaking lines. -
Yep, it's because they watch too much HGTV...

They held off on implementing the "gold star" so they could reap more revenue by doubling up on renewal fees. I renewed my license earlier this year so I'm one of the group getting screwed as well.

For clarification, the federal implementation deadline/date is Oct 1, 2020.

Women found after 17 days in Maui jungle

I'm guessing they wanted to get the interview over ASAP so they could get back to covering anything related to Trump. -
Not sure how far from Williamsburg you're willing to travel but you'll be about 2 hrs from Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello, which is in Charlottesville, VA. Guaranteed to not be overrun with liberals since most of them want to erase him from our country's history in anyway they can.

I would definingly agree that to be the truth for the DIY'ers. On the other hand, I'm guessing the commercial service industry has taken a big hit in revenue because of it. There's been some repair/remodeling projects come up in the past that I've never done before and somewhat hesitant to tackle on my own until I've watched some videos. I usually come away with saying, "I can do that", assuming I have the proper tools. If not, buying the tools myself is still usually cheaper than paying someone else. .
