  1. I don't have one but in 1987, I was a Class 3 dealer and bought 3 brand new ones for $325 each.
  2.   I would think it would depend on the size of your wiring. With a 14 wire, I would be afraid to go with a 30 amp. If the wiring is 12 ga, I would probably swap it out.
  3. Maybe it cost $50 to drill 4 more holes in the cylinder.
  4. Etowah is a pretty good place to work out of. I spent 27 years as a locomotive engineer running back and forth from Etowah to Corbin, KY. The South End running to Atlanta is a better run. Our run has a lot of mountains, tunnels, and bridges. My favorite run was always the spur line to Tellico Plains. I loved working the local and going through the mountain country to the little town of Tellico. My grandfather used to be the freight agent in Tellico and always walked down to meet me at the train.
  5.   Good idea. I have 2 acres on the lake in Lenoir City. About once a year I get a letter from someone who has looked up the property at the courthouse and wants to know if I am interested in selling it. One day I will get a letter when I am in the mood to sell. It never hurts to ask.
  6. I just bought 34 acres with no restrictions. Found it on landwatch.com.
  7.   If my DL had my social security number on it, I would black that out. Otherwise I do not have a problem with it.
  8. I used to be a dealer and sold guns through Davidson's gallery of guns. The dealer programs his markup into davidsons website and when you order Davidson's sends the gun right out to him. I always tried to find another gun or two to add to the shipment to save a little on shipping costs. I didn't make a lot of money on the guns but lots of the time the customers liked my service and came back and bought a gun from me later or picked up ammo when they got their gun. Davidson's sends a warrenty card with the gun. Be sure to fill itout and send it in. If they can not repair your gun, they replace it. Seemed to work pretty well.
  9. I had a shop bust the fiberglass fairing on a Trans Am while putting it on a lift  several years ago. My insurance paid to have it repaired then sued the shop for their money back. The insurance company collected from them and returned my deductable to me.

    My First 1911

You made an excellent choice. I have 4 of the parked loaded springfields. Only thing I changed on them was putting in a GI recoil spring setup and changing the mainspring housings to EGW arched ones. My favorites of all the 1911's.
  11. I have Springfield Armorys. Colts, Kimbers, S&Ws, and Rugers. If money was the biggest issue, and I was going to buy an entry level 1911, I would get a Ruger SR1911. If I was only going to buy one to keep for years, I would pick what I consider to be the best compromise between price and quality, the Springfield Loaded. I have 14 1911's and five of them are Springfield Loadeds. They have just about everything I want on a 1911 except for a checkered frontstrap.
  12. I bought a small one off Amazon by Tectronics. It was only about $69 but had a lot of great reviews. I have had it about 6 months now. It records very plainly even in darkness and records sound if you need a record of what everyone is saying. So far, I have been very happy with it.
  13. First I would go to www.annualcreditreport.com and request a free copy of my credit report from all three of the credit reporting agencys. If there are things on there you disagree with, send them a certified letter disputing the incorrect information. They will investigate the discrepencies and get back to you. Until you know exactly what it is you can't do much about it.
  14.   Where do you want me to meet you with your $706. Seriously, I picked my two up today and they are Gen 2. You can thank me for talking you into buying these later.
  15. If these young people would just speak English, us old people would know what they were saying.
  16.   Now I'm confused. I knew what EE stood for but what is "DL"
  17.   I'll give you $600 for three of them even if they are Gen 1.
  18.   His did and I can not imagine PSA having both Gen 2 and Gen 1 LCP's, both in FDE, in the same batch. Of course, he did pay $239 for his instead of $199. I am betting they just lowered the price another $40 and it is the same gun. I may be disappointed in a couple of days, but right now, I am feeling pretty good about this deal.
  19. I have a friend who bought one of these from Palmetto State Armory about 6 weeks ago when they were $239. I checked his and it was not only darker than the photo, It was a Gen 2 with the no dash serial number and slightly taller sights. Super deal at $199. Got an email today from Palmetto advising that my two have shipped. Probably should have bought four.
  20. I don't even like the LCP. But I bought two anyway. Can not pass up a deal.
  21. You are still a newlywed. April 17 will make me 44 years.
  22.   My thoughts exactly. There is no way I can carry enough stuff to last even a month. No matter how bad it might get, I will board up and take my chances at home. If they get me here they could have gotten me easier someplace else.
