On behalf of the testosterone laden, bearded, knuckle dragging, chauvinistic, loud mouthed, smelly, cigar smoking(my wifes' usual commentary) redneck, and largely male(if not true manly men) here; I would like to offer an apology for any of us who has made you feel in the slightest way uncomfortable or unwelcome. You have been exactly as you've self-described yourself and very welcome as a change in the balance of power here. Ok so that's really a lie, the power structure still resides in TGO David and his minions....But never feel unwelcome or unwanted. Seriously, you are welcomed here as a gun nut, not just as a pair of boobs as earlier mentioned; but with full rights to enjoy and say within reason anything you want. If one of us has offended you by something said or written, chalk it off to male jealousy and move on. I, for one, blonde jokes aside; am glad to see the "fairer sex" involved in shooting sports and hunting. Hell, most women I know shoot better I do anyway, and that includes my wife. That took some getting used to. lol If not for arthritis and some carpal nerve issues, she would be shooting right alongside me every time I went out. Showing me up and enjoying it thoroughly. And to end on a less serious note, at the risk of offense and ban hammer, and to reference that funny but crude Richard Pryor, I'll say this. Don't sweat it. Men and women have never been equal. Women have been leading men around by the short arm since the Garden of Eden. They got half the money and all the .........!

Hunker down, the both of you. It should be past you by the time you see this, but about 45 minutes ago it seemed headed your way. I haven't heard from my family in the Cookeville area tonight, but will check with them tomorrow morning if no calls.

Yes, we heard them from the church on Gallatin Road and from across the river at Opryland. Kept going on and off for about an hour and a half. Thankfully no damage we've seen yet around here, but we are in a small valley between nearby roads, and we usually get protected from the winds.

And the next call was the wife looking for an undertaker for her late husband. lol

Easy choice for me. The first one, with the pearl. lol A little off topic, but that material sure looks like a couch I used to have.

Seems like a good price for a spare BCG
hipower replied to gregintenn's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I ordered a couple of the nickle-boron BCG units before they sold out at 99. Now to start collecting other parts to go with them. lol -
That sure would enhance to cool factor on it!

Yes, I had to look several times when I saw the name. I came in here several times before officially joining and got somewhat familiar with Marswolf and his story. Not sure I've seen or heard of many that had the respect and love that his name brought out. If I may, I'll echo nightrunner's sentiment... May you rest peacefully, Sir.

Nope. That's way to ugly for a man of your tastes! Just pass it on over to me and I'll keep it out of sight. Okay? Really stunning!

I think you are right. Some wind, nothing bad so far, here off Briley Pkwy and Gallatin Road. And only a lite mist so far. Seems most of our rain came overnight,

This and offers like it are the best reasons for coming here!

For all the above reasons...for use, synthetic. For pretty rifle....walnut all the way!

Generators. One of those things I've said we've needed for years. And years. The house already has a hookup for it. So where is it, dumbass?
-
Sometimes we forget. This will make you remember. An awesome and chilling series of photos.

Or you can go the "Smith" route. lol Merry Christmas buddy!
-
AWESOME!! But for how long I wonder?

I agree, so tired of the moaning and groaning...somebody should do something crowd. It all starts with ourselves. We can't depend on the unknown "somebody" to do it. I'm and NRA Lifer. GOA member. Knife Rights member. And Concealed Carry member. Oh, and TFA. And some little group of loudmouth gun nuts...TGO. lol The point is, prag is absolutely right! Each and every one must be involved!
-
Delusional..., probably from one too many Christmas eggnogs, but nice thoughts for the most part. lol

The scene from Terminator comes to mind. Arnold strolling in looking around and saying "Ayeall be baack." Probably every cop in America has seen that. So waling in to a precinct station with a long gun certainly doesn't seem like the wisest course of action to me. No matter what the reason.

Well, after a quick, internet check, the statement may be correct. I am a little surprised I guess. According to the latest compiled Wikipedia figures from 2013, there were 32,719 automobile related deaths in the US. The first quick figure I found was from drugwarsfacts.org, and it posted for the same year of 2013, a total of 33,636 deaths from firearms violence. But this was not broken down into causes nor catagories. So that may be questionable. In any event, the statement would appear to be correct on the face of it.

A belated Happy Birthday to you, old man! From one not too far behind you.

Glad you are surprising her with this gift! Merry Christmas!

But that's not wrong...just well educated. lol
