  1. Heck...some of the best money I've spent ever! Where else can I spout off on multiple topics I know damn little about and not get kicked out?   Seriously, if I can do it more of you guys can. I'm old, retired with a very low fixed income, and a very gullible wife.   I managed to scrounge up the cash for a lifetime membership when David first offered it to us. I'm not sorry I did.   I get good advice, good times, meet interesting people(mostly...lol), and good friends.   Do it!
  2. And RK Show next weekend?
  3. Oh wish I'd learned that lesson a long time ago.
  4. LUKE...Come to the Dark Side...
  5. Interesting looking anyway. Might just have to take a look at them. Got too much going to buy and test out. But hey...I can look at them.
  6. Took my Handgun Permit Class back in the mid 90s, 1993 or '94, with my then brand new Sig P229 .40 and did rather well with it. It served me very well and I thought it a fine tool. But over the years, I've gravitated to 9mm and 45 more. I sold the Sig, and now have only 2 in 40; a Taurus PT100 and a Glock G24 with a 6" barrel. The G24 is by far the softest shooting 40 I have ever owned, and believe me that's been quite a few in 40+ years of pistol shooting. These days, I rarely shoot 40, as I find it a bit more punishing to my now arthritic hands than other calibers, but never really had anything against it.
  7. Of the 3, my preference is the Shield. I have 2 and love them. I had a few FTF and FTE during the breakin period, but cured it by shooting 124 grain instead of 115. After about 500 rounds, they both function with the 115 now, but I prefer the 124 in them.
  8. Thankfully, I'm out on the age limit. lol
  9.   True, but I've always told my wife I just needed 100 yards clear around the house for a good clear targeting area and kill zone. She just rolls her eyes at me. lol   Actually I do agree with you on the size, but I don't want to be greedy.
  10. Just ma lack of knowledge here, but what about cleaning with it permanently attached?   I like the idea as well Caster. My 9 pistol needs some help as well.
  11.   I like the way you think.   I always thought about 50-100 acres with a fair sized hill on it so I could build into the earth and take advantage of all the passive heating/cooling systems available.   Have an A-frame exposed front with a good sized balcony to oversee the property from.   Well, that hasn't happened, so I'm still here till I win a buttload of money.
  12. Can't help you on the 357 aspect of it Comms, but I own a Nighmare in 45acp; and she is one sweet shooter. Guess you'll look into it, but what about getting a 45 barrel for it also?
  13. I grew up with one grandfather who was as country as can be. Raised some of the best Coon Hounds around middle Tn in the late 50s and early 60s.   I remember people coming from several surrounding states to get one of his dogs. I'd see 50, a 100, as high as 200 dollars change hands for a dog. And that was a bunch of money then.   But I had to feed them all and keep the little houses clean. I got real tired of all that baying. lol But that's just me. They are great dogs.
  14. God Bless you two.
  15.     Ok...me too. Daisy Mae?
  16. You believe there actually isn't one already? I, for one, DO NOT believe the horse pucky that all data is destroyed after the TICS is done.
  17. Congrats! I think you will be very happy with it. I got one in FDE earlier this year. I really like it. My biggest and only complaint with it is finding mags for it. They have an awesome trigger and the reset is fantastic on mine.
  18.     You said it best, GT.   As the original Trapper John, Wayne ranks among the top icons of the show. Along with Radar, Klinger, Charles Emerson Winchester( who rapidly became of the top characters for me), and of course Col. Potter.      a

  20.   YES!!!  Sign me up!
  21. Not a nut about the AR, but that still was a darn interesting article. Thanks for posting it.
  22. All jokes aside, I think you picked a great suppressor, and although I personally am not an FN fan...that is a very good looking combo. My only wait was on a 22 can several years ago. I think it ran the full 9 months I was told to expect back then. Thankfully the waiting time seems to be much shorter now.
  23.   My bad. I didn't know that.
  24.   The 40 is a model number. The pistol is actually a .357. They are as bad as Glock on model numbers not matching caliber.

    Tv Shows

Yes, long ago. But I would love to see it done again.     But Nathan Fillion would have to go on a major diet and exercise routine...like me.
