Panty waist gets arrested. Priceless.
hipower replied to Volphin's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
As I tell my wife often, you've got to express yourself clearly. Use the correct and exact words for what you are trying to say. And YES, I do pay dearly for that, every time I say something when she uses the wrong word or phrase. -
I very much like her style. And she has a subtle way with words. Don't you think?

Tell school children to pledge to serve Obama.

In some form or another, thru some type of emergency situation; yes. I think that is likely. -
Aren't those figures amazing? And I don't for a minute doubt the truth of them.

Man, you got robbed! I got 2 mags. You are right, I've been looking for some extras, just don't like the cost on some I see. Stupidly, I haven't checked with RIA yet. I'll look now.

I'm sure it's to save on electrical use and the technician(s) hired to stand by it 24/7 and keep it running.

I could be missing something, but I don't think the hit caused the injury directly. It looked to me like he impacted the ground hard on that right knee (while doubled over - so hip was at an angle - not it's strongest alignment) ... so hard he bounced. It was after that moment that he grasped at the hip in pain. If you watch that bounce, it looks to me like it could do some damage. Now... the hit appeared to be late to me... maybe that's just me. ------------------------------------- I'm far from an expert here, but after seeing the millions of replays on this hit(s), I have to agree with Peace. From the view of an armchair fan, the initial hit from Wilkerson, at least from the shown footage, seemed "legal." But playing "devil's advocate here," lets look at the other questions I have. But with all the multi-angle shots these days, why haven't we seen this from a different view? All I've seen show from the right side, with Wilkerson coming in from the left/front. Are there any other camera shots? And I've seen some speculation that ? second player might have planted a right forearm to Locker's helmet as he(Locker) was falling down. Again this same view from the right is all I've seen. Not saying this is fact, just wondering. In any event, Jake was having the best game of his Titans tenure, and wish him the speddiest of recovery.

Got m first RIA from Glocknload a couple months ago, and I must say I am impressed. It's a 9mm and a ball to shoot. I've used every crappy brand of ammo I have and it feeds them all. It's the first 1911 I've had that's yet to have a malf of any kind. It seems to like Black Hills +P the best, but that gets a little expensive at the range. My only complaints are for the really hard to see GI sights and a little wobble in the trigger. Oh and the darn thing just don't have enough mags with it. Guess I'll have to find some more.

Hooray for Obama's Hope and Change. It'll all be great in the end...if we survive the beginning. -
A Winning Awnser!! Although I am partial to the 19 and 34.

I can relate to the cleaning issues, especially fouled bore on my 22/45. I've shot the heck out of it, and don't spend enough time on the barrel cleaning. It can be a real pain getting to that clean patch.

I personally prefer a crosshair to a red dot for sighting, but have to agree with cannoncocker on this. I tried a small, inexpensive(read cheap) scope on the MKIII 22/45 and was not very happy. Changed it over to another cheap red dot and found it much easier to hold steady and shoot with. At some point, I intend to go for a better red dot on my Target/Hunter version.

"GrandPa's Jerky" brand? I've gotten some several times. It's awesome jerky. Especially the Teriaki flavor.

Congratulations for your great showing!

One bit of advice. Tie your hands down. I couldn't stop rubbing my head. Seemed like every couple of minutes, I'd catch myself just running my hand over the top of my head. Don't really know why, it just seemed to feel good. And, as we old codgers head into the sunset, the hairless heads are a lot easier to manage. Just gotta watch out for the sunburns,

Still...it's a very impressive image. I've read way too many EOTWAWKI and post apocalyptic books. This looks like something I'd expect to see on one of Mack Maloney's Wingman covers.

First off, Your friend is in my prayers. I've been there. Twice, in fact. It's not an experience I'd wish on anyone. But as far as shaving your head. You are a great friend to help him feel a little less uncomfortable. Tncitizen22 has told pretty much what I did. If you have clippers, even dog clippers, cut as close as you can with them. Wet your scalp with hot water and lather away. I used a triple blade safety razor on mine and it works pretty well. Just don't get in a hurry. Use smooth strokes and keep your skin wet. Don't use a lot of pressure and you shouldn't cut yourself. Repeat. Don't get in a hurry. I think I took about 30-45 minutes the first time. Of course a lot of that was me looking in the mirrors. Which, btw, is pretty easy if you got a hand mirror and just hold it in front of your face, back to the other mirror and shave just like your face. After you do it a couple of times, it's real easy. And you do get used to it. Sometimes it's pretty comfortable. But again, you guys are great. Some advice, if I may. Don't push him to talk about it unless he wants. Don't be offended if he doesn't want or ask for a lot of help. By all means offer, but don't push. Support all you can. That goes for his wife and family as well. It's a terrible, trying, and sometimes very personal experience. I know that sounds strange, but believe me, sometimes alone and quiet is necessary and best. And not trying to horn if, but if you'd like to offer me as a talking source, I'd be available for him.

Appears from a quick search, that Fulton Armory is still in operation. Looks like a quality product. At least should be, their site says built to milspec standards. But the prices are not cheap. Averages around 1500 for and M1.
