  1. Dang! That must have been one mean instructor!
  2. Is it just me...or does that coat and pants look wrong? Carnival photo or the like?
  3. Well said, Garufa! That' pretty much my own position. I really don't need to elaborate any further than you have. Yes, I get my second shot tomorrow in my oncologist's office. My wife says she against taking it herself. We talked on it a bit and the result is that she's going to watch over me and see how I do before making a final decision for herself. I guess if I don't grow a third eye in the back of my head, or fall over convulsing...she might take one.
  4. OMG! That is horrible! I bet his foot is going to hurt worse than mine do.
  5. That might explain the itching in my right arm!
  6. Wow! Information overload! But thank you very much. I have gotten some very good thought on this since reading it. I do see that my BigBoy Toy Fund is going suffer quite a bit from all this. lol Again, thank you.
  7. Good Morning ,O Great Leader! lol! Thought I'd butter you up a bit this morning. I'd like to ask a couple of questions today. First off, I did get a PDP. A 4". And I love it! Planning on a Holosun as well. Is the holster in the background of the above pic for the PDP? If so what is it? And in an earlier pic, you showed a TLR7 mounted, did it not suit you? I've only gotten one range session in with my PDP, but it was as good a first impression from a pistol since my first 1911. LOL! The trigger was fantastic. I didn't believe I would like it more than the PPQ trigger, but I did. I need another session when the optics plate from Walther gets here. Another question, and I know I'll google C&H, but asking why you went that route instead of the plate from Walther. Next time out, I'd like to do a comparison with my Canik SFX, which has been one of my favorite range pistols. Thanks for you input on the PDP, both all the previous and anything else you might give. Additional comment...I haven't found a Compact yet, but with my supply of PPQ 2 mags, I think I'm going to need another PDP. lol It seems that the PPQ mags do not fit the PDP Full Size pistol, only the compact.
  8. Dare I say it...I may or may not have known a lady of this maturity back in my youth. LOLOLOLOL! Frat parties. Anything goes!
  9. Maybe. Might not get out though.
  10. 1930 Air Lane Drive off Elm Hill Pike. About a mile from Briley.
  11. Went Thursday morning. Was actually first one there, well at least at the door. Then Mr. Lenny himself appeared. Shook hands and talked for a few minutes. Then gone. lol! A busy man is he. Nice place, plenty of pistols and long guns on display. A little ammo. Toured part of the building and saw one of the training rooms. Very nice. I think I will sign up for a couple of sessions and see how terrible I actually am. Sadly for me, no range for individual shooting.
  12. Yeah, I had a 2" from that era of the un-blued pistols. had a guy argue with me that I'd stripped the finish off. lol But this is a nice one!
  13. One of my all-time favorite pics!
  14. That overly tight suit pushed it up into her boobs. lol
  15. Kim Kardashian in space?
  16. Very similar situation it is.
  17. I like it!
  18. I was pretty sure after our meet that we might have a common background. lol
  19. Prayers for all that have had trouble with water this past week. We have been there and it is a devastating experience. Flooded twice here. Blessed enough to not loose the home, but have had lots of costs for repairs. We sat in front of the TV from roughly 6PM until 4:30 AM. That's when I couldn't stay awake any longer, but we believed the major threat to us was over. Cooper Creek runs along one side of our property. It's usually just a run-off drain and is no problem. but when heavy rains hit, we are on high alert constantly. Front yard was covered with about 3" and the major part of the rear was more than that. But in the yards it receded quickly. As of this morning still ponding in the low spots, and Cooper still has a very strong flow at about 2 feet in depth. Water is a wonderful thing. Life giving. But also a fearful thing as well. We don't control water. We think we do. But when it's loose and unfettered...get out of the way! Again prayers for all who lost homes or property, and to those who went out to help others. Amen.
  20. Well, no pun intended, I have no recent experience with water from wells, but I'm sure there are some here who do. In fact, I seem to remember it being discussed here some time ago. You might do a search on wells here and see. I can say however, having grown up in rather rural areas, well water, hand drawn by rope, no fancy pumps, was all I saw or drank until I was at least 12. That was when my dad mustered out and bought a small house for us. It had "city water". We were in the big time then. Actually first in the family to have water actually from a tap inside the house. And another big benefit...an inside toilet! Wow! No more outside trips or emptying those bed pans! I loved it. LOL! That sure brings back a lot of memories. Memories of family and friends long gone. And times that were, at least in memory, much better. Sorry for getting off your original question, but just sort of came to mind. Don't remember if I welcomed you or not...but in any event; Welcome to TGO. I think you'll enjoy it.
  21. Must just be me, but I haven't really gotten into sling packs. I have a few, 2 different sizes. One is too small and the other is not much better. Not been comfy with across the chest, and they just slide off my shoulders. Must be a trick to this.
  22. Well said. And in fewer words than I took. lol
  23. Well...I really didn't expect the reactions from so many when I started my little comment. Guess I wasn't thinking to well. I've watched and read all these comments and as ReeferMac says, I believe only time will tell who, if any, of us is right or wrong. I've talked to friends, family, neighbors, and some of us here about my decision and the opinions of each. Those opinions are just as varied as we have here. Can't say that my own perception of the vaccines have really changed in the last 2 weeks. In retrospect, had I not held such a high opinion of my Oncologist; I believe I would not have taken the vaccine. But that cannot be undone. So whatever my personal outcome, it's in God's Hands. But, it surely cannot be mass hysteria that so many around this nation and the world still question the virus and it's origins, it's effects and lethality, the vaccines, and the possible motives behind it all. I was a "sheeple" for many years, most of my life in fact. Never questioned anything. Took what was said and handed to me at face value. It must be true and good for me. The TV and government said so. I lived...no...existed. Watching the world and my life go by. What changed my and my outlook is personal and not open for discussion at this time. What is important is that I did begin to look around. To see the world beyond my 2 foot personal space. To think. To question people, government. Ask why we are so obsessed with things. Why do we accept because a "leader" tells us it is so, right, and true. When did we start believing the comments of a "celebrity" was always the truth and more important than mine? I opened my eyes. For the first time I think. Not that I'm a great and wise man. Far from it. But I'm looking, questioning, and hopefully learning now. So back to the Covid-19, and now it's variants. Was this a man-made virus? I say absolutely Yes to that. I don't believe that it came from a fruit market where bats, rats, or whatever lived. It came from the WuHan Lab. Far too many established medical professionals attest to this. Even the former Director of the CDC says it is. My lay opinion has not changed one whit on that. When first brought to national attention, "News" readers told us that it did come from the Wuhan labs and that a, or multiple technicians had been affected and had been the cause of the infection's spreading. That was squelched about two days in and all references and video removed. I KNOW I saw and heard it, as I'm sure many others did as well. Whether this was an accidental release, or...as I, in my tinfoil hat theories contend; it was a test release at the least. Just to determine our, the US's and the world's reactions and capabilities to respond to a viral release/attack. Agree with me or not, this virus has changed our lives, our country, and our world for the worse. Jobs lost. Businesses closed, many forever. Lives of families changed. Schools and universities closed. Social interactions curtailed. Dependence on government "Help, even Rescue" pushed to an extent we would not have thought possible. Living online almost 24/7. Damage to the nuclear family, which was already hanging by a thread, pushed further along towards complete loss. Many(more) accepting a government dole rather than working. Well you should be able to see it as well. Agree or not, it's your choice. But I think it is clearly a plan that at best is allowing the inmates to run the asylum; and at worst, a plan to fully control our lives. We have seen and talked of the "cradle to grave" government over the past few decades. I think I's here now. Just a few short steps away from fruition for our controllers. Whether you believe those in control to be some Uber-rich, Elitist New World Order, a military cabal, or just the Illuminiti coming to power at long last; Change has come. And it is here to stay.
  24. Oh... that's quite different! Landowners or Leasee will need background and credit checks, as well as a personal inquisition. Just in case you haven't seen it by now...we do have a fairly large contingent of resident wise***'* here. I'm not even close to the rest of them.
  25. I wouldn't say any of this is meant to be offensive or questioning your intent, Sir. It's just that for the last few months, there have been a lot of...well for lack of a better term, trolling on the site. One post wonders that will make a big fuss about buying and then never follow thru. Not even to the point of replying to a PM. Just never, and I mean not to return again. That leaves us to be somewhat cautious. I've had it happen to me twice in the last 10 days or so. So please understand that it isn't a personal attack. It just takes a bit of time to instill the amount of trust and mutual insanity that we have established here. Allow me to say Thank You for Your Service to Our Nation, Sir. And a hearty welcome to TGO!
