No...I left 2 of each on the shelf for others. LOL! I thought I'd make a gas run early this morning, and I usually use the Kroger fuel station; it's 1.3 miles from me. Anyway, at 8:30 or so this morning, there were parking spaces up front. So I just went in and did a short run on bananas and apples, bread and milk of course, and my wife's Snapple Diet Mango Tea. In and out pretty quickly, and I think we are set for a few days.

Drop-jaw Amazing!

When hunting wild boars...wouldn't the rifle be better utilized at the ready position instead of on his shoulder? lol

I've used creams after my 2 knee replacements and a couple of falls It does help me. Also for arthritis pains in my thumbs. It's not the cure-all of the century, but it does help(me anyway). Odd. I get no results from the few CDB gummies I've tried. You use a particular brand?

I think they would be close. 18 rounds in this, and got some +2/+5 extensions coming. So I do need to do some curls. lol

Ok, now you have me in tears...but a good kind. Whether you believe it now or not; God has blessed you and your wife. You chose to care for one of his special children. That alone makes you special in the Eyes of God...and hero to me. You no doubt have had times of intense pain, but I bet you've also had a father's pride in taking this child and putting her in a loving home and caring for and raising her. Again, you are a hero, a special person. A chosen one. I believe this with all my heart. I am a sinner with little accomplished in my life that I could be proud of or call good works. You have this. I can only imagine the pains and the strength it has taken for you in this task. But you took it on, out of love I'm sure. For that alone you are Blessed by God. Pray my friend. Pray for you daughter, your family, and for yourself. Be strong. As strong as you were when you began this journey. Your reward will come. I know not when, nor how, nor in what form...but it will. Remember this. You have family here to call upon. God Bless and Keep you all.

Yes, I should have noticed it was pretty much the movie poster and promo pose, but I got sidetracked by other things. lol

Very similar situation for me. 10 years survivor now. But Prayer is an important and powerful healing aid. Our own and from others. I don't believe I would be here doing this if not for the prayers of family, friends, and strangers that were told of me.

95 year old man and his father's 1911 service weapon from WW1?
hipower replied to Swamp ash's topic in General Chat
I agree, but my opinion is worth little, the odds he will spend time anywhere but possibly a more mental care ward, are slim I think. I have unfortunately, had to see family and friends in similar care facilities. How he was allowed, or hid a weapon in such a situation is really strange. Even in assisted living units, I'd darn near guarantee a quiet search is done on possessions. My father-in-law was in one for a short time and had his pocket knives taken. -

I believe the 1911 was confiscated because it was just used to kill a man. -
I could say it no better. So I will offer my prayers for you all as well.

Helment and Jacket are modeled after the Movie The Rocketeer. I'd say the photo is a staged shoot for personal or maybe a cosplay event. The young lady's face is almost familiar, but haven't got it yet. Long legged little critter though.

Beautiful Pistol! And I love those grips too!

Oh My Stars and Garters!! That thing looks positively frightening! Even moreso like this than seeing the full carcass!

Taurus?
-
Yes...it is heavy. Almost 3lbs empty weight if I remember the specs right.
-
I thought that as well, but it just looked so much like a horse-drawn wagon(minus the tongue of course) that I just wondered about it.

Welcome to TGO and Tn. Have seen a bit of PA in past years, mostly around Lancaster when we were going to the Street Rod Meets. Beautiful country. And loved the Amish foods there. Usually came home a couple pounds heavier each trip.

Just curious, do you know if these were motorized or drawn?

I doubt anyone, except the rare individual who doesn't like them; would ever dispute owning many 1911s. And even those probably will change their opinions. I did. Never liked the 1911 until Colt's Officers Model. Shot one my bil had. Bought one that afternoon. It was the first of a long line of 1911 pistols. Sold a few over the years...but still have that Colt.
-
You will NEVER have only one 1911! You might never have had one , or never will have one... But you will never have only one 1911.
-
I bought the same model in 9. But only because it was there. lol I actually would have preferred to have the 45, but the shop said they couldn't keep either model in stock. Their comment was that the 10mm, the 45, and then the 9 was the order in which they sold out fastest. I might have been tempted by the 10, even having to scrounge ammo for it. Never had a 10mm. Am I missing out?

38 Super is a SWEET round in the 1911 frame! I bought one years ago and soon found myself running out of ammo for it. lol Have a Colt in 38 Super, had a Taurus also. but need the Rock in that caliber.

Opinions on buying Holsters, Ammo Cans and Rifle Cases
hipower replied to NwoSlave's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Premium Tactical Supply, Case Club, My Case Builder, and MTM Mag holders. These searches should bring up the foam inserts for 50 cal cans. They work well.- 16 replies
