  1. Well. That title covers a lot of territory doesn't it? Had 2 scheduled checkups and blood draws today. My GP and my Oncologist. I talked with both about the Covid Vaccines and my feelings and health issues relating to whether or not to take it. Interesting conversations from both. Especially the gentleman who actually drew the blood. We covered about everything from the source, the intent, and the possible outcomes of this pandemic. Even got into some of the religion side...Revelation and Mark of the Beast territory. But the core of all this is that my Oncologist's comments were this..."Do it. Do it Now!" You are at major risk. Walking time bomb. Just waiting to be infected. Really said that. Well, it seemed that TnOncology was vaccinating all their patients. And since I was in one office, a call was made and I was quite literally immediately shoved out the door and sent to the one where there were some shots still available. So...in spite of my comments here previously; I received the 1st dose of the Moderna Vaccine today. I do feel rather much a hypocrite right now. But it's done. We shall see what happens.
  2. Guess all the HR1 and HR8 stuff is getting me down. Feinstien's weapon bills. All the political crap. Sleepy, slurring Joe's speech last night. One or all.
  3. Only that he won't get fried by some of his women friends!
  4. Well...what's the skinny on today's events? Am I going to be the goat for this one? Can anyone comment on where you think we stand and what's next?
  5. I'll look for it on my next Rivergate trip.
  6. Sir, you are my kind of people. lol Same here. My mouth seems to always move without thought. So my wife has started telling me to keep quiet past hello and how's the kids. Sadly, I don't listen too well.
  7. My wife and I understand. We are the lone conservative people in our street. Between that, the outrageous property taxes, and age; we are looking/considering a move to the Eastern Middle Tn area. Maybe the Cookeville to Crossville area. I have some family in the general area, so it's a possibility. I guess the area for you will depend upon your business and it's requirement. Not recommending, since I don't have knowledge of your specific wants; but I will say there seems to be a goodly number of the kind of people that think like is around there. In any event, I wish you well in your journey.
  8. Hello, Sir. Welcome to this forum. I hope you will find the things you are looking for soon. We all agree, well most of us...lol; that things are getting worse by the day, even here. But from what you said and what I've read, the action you are taking is best for you and your family. Hope you find a place soon. Tennessee is beautiful, and so far still relatively free of restrictions like you face. So come on down!
  9. I guess this is contagious! I have 2 items on order from the first week of January this year. Each with a projected delivery date within 10 days of the order being placed. I have received shipping confirmations and expected dates with tracking on each one. Both are still showing "In Transit." One was processed thru Memphis on 1/29, the other on 2/3. Glad they are not important items.
  10. Perhaps the Harris-Biden government?
  11. Yeah. Disgusting. Up almost 70 cents per gallon in the last 6 weeks. At least around me. Since Publix opened in East Nashville. I don't get those gas points from my Kroger shopping anymore. And that hurts!
  12. 3.4 million background checks ran in February. Not sure "hoarding" is the complete answer here. I'll give you that there are people buying for resale, and that some people are buying for their "needs/desires." Even we here. We stockpile. We prepare for any eventuality(hopefully anyway). We "Prep" for disaster But as I've said before. Millions more buyers in the last 2 years. That absolutely effects the amount of ammo available to the masses.
  13. That's good to know. I have a few with my PPQ M2. lol You know how Tad and I were about mags.
  14. Will it accept the PPQ mags?
  15. Ronald_55, reasoning like yours just spoils the show! lol! I gave up on TWD many seasons ago, for reasons like yours and more. The absurdity aside, there were just too many irrational ( Yeah, I said irrational when talking about a zombie series...LOL!) things going on to ignore. The weapons, the constant moving around instead of finding a defensible home or building to settle in, and many more. I think the prison compound was about it for me. They all seemed to have suddenly acquired military grade weapons, and a TANK for heavens' sake...and yet still couldn't hold out. Foraging/scrounging should have been an element of the "life style" in the show. Like you said, many sources of food, aid, and weapons were just ignored. And here I go again, attaching logic to TWD. Anyway, I gave up on TWD about the time FTWD came around. I just couldn't hold interest in either one of them. So, I'm glad some can still watch it, but I'm not one of them. I think I'll just go and watch all the Terminator movies again. After all, that's just so much more believable. LOL!!!
  16. My sincere condolences for your loss, I offer my prayers for peace and understanding at this time.
  17. I got it already built, so can't claim any bragging rights on it. I have a 10/22 that dolomitesuprafly built some years ago. Much fitting and polishing of the Volquartsen trigger group and a Green Mountain heavy barrel. VERY accurate for as far as I shoot. Far better rifle than I deserve. But I love it. Best ever for me was 3 rounds in a dime sized group at 50 yards. The rifle is capable of much better, I am not.
  18. No Walther fans???? Wrong buddy! We just keep a low profile to stop others buying first. lol I have a couple here and there. favorite is absolutely the PPQ M2 9. Just wondering about an optic on it.
  19. Three at once is as far as I've gone...and that was a few years ago. Now let's talk about how many you've done in a one month period. Be truthful, your wife doesn't have to know. lol I think the answer for me was 5. I did go rather a bit overboard then.
  20. Good stuff! And to keep ins step with the core of this thread...I just bought a Tisas SDS 1911 Carry in SS. Sweet. Tightest frame to slide fit I've seen outside a 3000+ 1911. No rattles. Really great feel. Series 70 style. Like a comment previously, my somewhat known counter guy(a TWRA guy) said he had taken it down and was impressed with what he saw. Then the old line came out..."If you don't buy it, I'm gonna take it home tonight." Well...he didn't. I did. lol
  21. I been there...and done it myself!
  22. I got a few 100 FBI training loads from The Rabbi( long story) a few years back. They are great in the 605 and other lite 357s.
  23. Mea culpa.
