  1. Idle curiosity. Why?
  2. True...she did arouse many a young man back in those days. Had some nice butt!
  3. REALLY???
  4. I do seem to remember having a few ammo cans. Seems that the pleasure craft I was in sprung a leak and I lost them all.
  5. Just thought it looked a bit bigger.
  6. Heck. I'm not sure I trust some of my friends.
  7. I like it. How much will it hold?
  8. LOL I know that is actually pretty much right; but it sure looks funny as heck!
  9. Yep! I can see Bill holding it out and waving it at me. lol But I think I'd tell him it had to be in 9...just to hear him fuss. BTW...not enough flash for the EN hipsters on my street!
  10. Lord I hope not. It's been bad lately. lol I've lost a couple of t-shirts I bought for my wife. Hallmark Movie t's no less. Don't have a clue where I put them. Glad you're liking the 24. I think about it when I see all the 40 I got. lol I always thought it a good shooter, just didn't take it out very much. So at least you are giving it a better home. Giving some thought to getting an mrd for the 34. Or maybe for the Canik SF. Hope you are doing well. I wish you a Merry Christmas.
  11. Leroy...did I sell you that G24? Bad memory kicking in again.
  12. Personal Opinion Coming. Be warned. Ok...I've owned the Firefly and the Mosquito. Both absolute pieces of junk. Again...jmo. Poor appearance and fit. Misfeeds, prone to jams. Inaccurate as hell. Seemed like cheap "pot-metal" construction. Found a sucker walking around in a Mufreesboro show about 8 years ago who wanted them. I parted happily and took his cash. Almost felt sorry for him. Yes, I did tell him my experiences with them, but he said that he was a 22 "expert" and could fix anything wrong with them. I got 350 for both, which was less than I had in the trade I'd origionally made to get them. Didn't care. Wanted them gone. Gave him a number to call if he had concerns and actually gave a week to give his money back. I never will try to cheat anyone. I've been lied to on pistols and I will not do it to make a sale. Period. I was honest in my thoughts and wanted him to know what I was selling. I never heard from him, so maybe he did "fix" them. I now own 2 GSG 22 pistols with threaded barrels. They function well, though neither like the Thunderbolt ammo, and are reliable and fun to shoot. One is a full size and the other a commander. Reasonable accurate. Meaning they are better than I'm capable of. lol I have about 400 in both of them and not concerned about it. Just fun little 22s.
  13. Yes...I'm the oddball. I like it. More likely an outdoor shooting toy than anything else. But I like it. They hove some other interesting products as well. Good looking Single Action pistols and 1911s. Still though, I like it.
  14. You think that's where all the millions of rounds of 40 for FEMA were stored?
  15. Hmmm. Missed that. I just took the 1600 per acre and 6,203 acres at face and multiplied. That's a good discount! Might just swing it.
  16. Not that it really makes a difference to me, but I come up with a price of 9,924,800. If my wife wins the next lottery, and she's real certain a win in the Publishers Clearinghouse is due to her...It's Ours!! Now...back to reality.
  17. Merry Christmas to all my TGO brothers and friends. May peace and happiness follow you daily. Thank you, Mac, for your thoughts and prayers for us all. Thank you, David, for herding this band of cats into a meaningful and fun group. I know many here have had much harder times than I and my family this year, but it is still good to know that others think of you. From an old sinner, May God Bless and keep us all. And I ask that He, and all of us, keep our dedicated heroes...servicemen and women around this world; the Police in all forms, the first responders, the Doctors and nurses; and the craziest and sometimes least remembered of all...the firefighters...those who run into fires to get us out...in our prayers daily. Amen.
  18. Coming from a strictly poorly educated on AR platform...I agree. Been around a couple of FFL/repair facilities, some hard core AR rifle shooters, and of course guys here. I can't remember hearing any comment identifying a bad upper. A few on lowers of different sources, but not on uppers. This is just my own small experience talking. I have been considering ordering one of the AR-Stoner uppers though. With the exception of a couple of Colts, almost all my uppers have been PSA. And I can't say I've had any trouble with any of them either.
  19. Amen, brother. I've walked away from Vulcan 22 pumps, JB lever guns, even a complete Dan Wesson kit at reasonable to unbelievable prices. And then turned and bought Desert Eagles. lol But my worst mistake was in the early 80s. I was walking the old Goodman Show(when it actually was a good show) with my wife, and ran across a literal table full of Smith revolvers, We looked at a few and talked with the seller. He pointed to a 3 piece deal on his table...all SS guns. 2", 4", and 6" 44 mags. Prelocks. Boxes and everything. He was desperate to make a sale because of a slow show. Offered me all 3 for 1000 dollars!! I stood there with them. Literally sweating like a stage actor in a flop-sweat. Wife was telling me to buy them...we'd be ok. Do it, go on, do it. I didn't. I walked away. I had the money in my pocket, but had just been laid off and was scared to buy them. I walked away. I want to kick my butt every time I think about it.
  20. I would like to try way too many things these days. lol And I'm pretty sure I might like a couple of them as well. But lack of unnecessary disposable income is restricted. I've bought a few things lately from brothers here. Even from an online market. But been smaller amounts than I've spent in the past. Just not enough smaller. Hoping to try some sort of part-time work in the next year, but gotta get legs strong enough to do things again.
  21. Agreed. I don't shoot much 40, but when I do, I realize that I actually like it. lol I sure miss the G24 I sold a few years ago. I keep thinking I might look around for one again. Lastly, my 2nd fav 40 is a Taurus PT 100. Really.
  22. A sad sight.

    S&W M&P

Good choices! I have a small collection of M&P's myself. And I do like the Shield with the CT "thinngy" on them as well. lol
  24. Re-read last night's post. Man, I sounded like a jerk. Please let that slide. I can appreciate what you did, and putting it out for others to see...that takes guts. Just because I wasn't bowled over by it wasn't a reason for me to disparage your efforts. Hell I can't do it. Just because it didn't meet my likes was no reason to put it the way I did. figured I'd do my apology here rather than in a pm. I might learn to think before typing. Merry Christmas to you.
  25. Envious. I sold my 3913 last year. I miss it terribly. Not one of my better decisions.
