Where I've Been and Where I'll be (2020 Early Edition)
hipower replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Let me add my congratulation on the increasing family, David. Also commiserating with you on the knee pains. I've had both knees replaced in the last 16 months. both surgeries went well. Until...the day I finished PT on the second one, the right knee. I came home and somehow managed to fall off the single step on my porch, corkscrewing to my right and bouncing my butt off a huge commercial ceramic flower pot before hitting the ground. You should have seen the monster bruises I got from it! During this I managed to twist my new knee under my butt and fall on it. Nothing hurt until I tried to get up. Then it did. Terribly and violently. Orthopedist said no physical/organic damage that he could see, but I'd strained all the tendons and ligaments he'd just worked so hard to get back into place. Essentially, I'd taken myself back to day one and I've started over. So it's better. lol I'm slow and limping, but getting better. My prayers for you and your family, and of course your recovery. Rest well knowing your other little child, TGO, is in our fine hands and we won't intentionally "fubar" it too much. Maybe. -
Thank you, Choatecav. As many have said...life is what happens while you are making plans(for something else). I've had many things change while I was living life. I was wondering if it had been anyone local. But Mr. Singleton is a name I at least have heard of. Have to decide what I'd like to have done. Glock 19, 43x, or maybe my Shield. I have a Canik that is ready for a rmr,so maybe should start there.

Love Clark Gable. Wife and I just watched a bunch on dvd this week. I think his WWII movies were some of the best made. We watched Mutiny on the Bounty, Run Silent, Run Deep(my fav) and few of his westerns.

When you gotta have a Krystal, you gotta have a Krystal!! Wow, that brought back a memory or two! Late night movies, sacks of Krystals, and watching Cowboy Sid ride off into the sunset. figuratively speaking, of course.
-
No we're not! lol And yes...we are passionate about our Krystals!!

Not sure anyone on this site is accustomed to all the personalities here. lol

LOL! As Steve Harvey says... "Good Answer!"

What was your last/next range toy? [with pictures]

OH MY!! What are you gonna be shooting...a bazooka? -
My wife brought the closing of the Madison Krystal to my attention, so I did a little google thing and found that out. Saddens me. I'm not a White Castle fan. Just don't taste the same to me. Get the urge for a bag of Krystals every few months. Then remember that night why I shouldn't eat them. lol

Who did the milling work for you? Getting interested in this again, and would like to see if it's easier than just buying a pistol with a pre-milled plate. The cost difference is probably quite a bit I'd think. A thought occurred to me after I did the original post. What are your thoughts on slide length for rmr pistols? I would think I would like something G19/43x size, but the old idea of longer slide/longer, better sight radius and picture comes to mind.

Off the wall, and possible out of my strange mind...could this be a still from some low budget SyFy flic? I've watched some pretty bizarre ones too.

Thanks buddy. I heard this mentioned on talk radio a while back and my takeaway was that recall by ballot was the only means. Anyway, hope some of the GOP has the balls to start proceedings on the lot of them. Especially Shifftless, Nancy, and Chucky.
-
I think it's a serious thought. Emotions are running high against all of those mentioned. But can they be "impeached"? Would it require a voter recall in their respective states? If enough of the Senate should get together in an effort to censure and/or file ethics charges for some of their outlandish behavior, perhaps an option.

My,my...how times have changed.

Sorry...screwed up trying to doublepost.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. So I might have to get one and try it for my wife's gun.

Although I can't use 95% of the technology available to me as and individual; like you I see the benefits to families. -
Interesting. Anyone here ever try one?

Sweet deal! I've been able to pull stuff like that in the past, but been many years since I found that sweet a deal. And with the boxes too!! Man that's great!
