  1. Springfield 1911 loaded or target match model Kahr pm45 .38spl or .357mag snubbie (undecided on make and model) Browning X-Bolt medalion rifle in .300wsm Browning Maxus sporting carbon fiber in 12ga Browning Citori or Cynergy O&U .20ga P.S. also a T/C contender pistol in a large handgun cal.As in .454 casull or smaller rifle cartridge. (for pissin' off the squirells)
  2. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1546592/the_judge_taurus_handgun_45_410/ This video explains the purpose for the design "specifically designed for use in the vehicle" I wouldn't have one as my carry weapon but truck/car gun you betcha .
  3. on the one i dry fired at the shop it felt very Glock -like smooth light and crisp i was considering a purchase untill i found out about all the bugs they had
  4. Didn't some people used to clean their Glocks and other tupperware guns in the top rack of the dishwasher when they first came out ? Just kidding . I clean my XD about every 500 rds or so I'm going on 1500 rds since my last cleaning not one hiccup yet(trying to see if it will) . Other than a lil carbon build up around the feed ramp it dosent look bad. XD's are very durable guns just do a field strip and clean the barrel and slide like everyone suggested . If and when I ever wear the barrel out I may detail strip it and do some inspection of the rest of the parts and repair/replace any excessive worn parts . I've put around 3000 flawless rnds thru it so far so it will be a while .
  5. Sportsmans Warehouse doesn't trade in used guns at all. They are a big box store new guns only .I know of a few shops around me that might stock it but Cleveland is a bit of a drive for a maybe. Another brand to consider would be a Taurus good gun for a lot less . You can pick one of these up for around $500 new
  6. I thought it was Pepto pink the first time I looked at too !
  7. You might check with Sportsmans Warehouse over on lee highway and 153 they seem to have a pretty good amount of shelf space for reloading supplies . Dad has an older Taurus raging bull with the 8" barrel .Fun gun to shoot. Most .44mag seem to come in the 6-8" variety.

From the digging I did they are made by Metro Arms in the Philippines, and most reviews were favorable. Bersa sold them under their brand .I did not see any of these guns on Bersa's web site now though so they must not import/carry the line anymore. Metro Arms web site is under construction but I did find an importer that made a web site but can find no info on the manufacturer nor any dealers except Gander Mountain is listed as a warranty service location so maybe Gander carries it in store but i cannot find it on their site either American Home.

I had the opportunity shoot a RIA last weekend .My brothers friend brought his to the range with us NIB never fired. We went through between all of us a 100rd bulk pack of WWB not one failure .My general impression was it that the gun was well made but the trigger felt kinda crunchy/gritty .It shot very well with the novack sights and was dead on . I'm sold on it. I may get one myself in the coming future but if the trigger feels like that one it will be getting a fluff and buff.
  10. Oh yeah Im not trying to be pissy either. I'm merely stating that some JHP rounds are almost completely flat with no cone shape. with the feed ramp at that sharp of an angle I can see why some ammo would have a difficulty feeding ...... See the cone shape in the bullet of the federal hydra-shock Vs the corbon do you see the difference the hydra shock is more flat nosed and shorter while the corbon is more tapered .Less of a flat surface on the nose to "catch". And i'll take my beer in Corona or Heineken.
  11. Thermite?,.50BMG incendiary rounds, dig a hole put a big jug of triple 7 in it cover with safe 3,2,1 blast off?........I like the trebuchet idea!!!
  12. It wouldn't need any case support if the rounds angle coming out of the magazine is at a perfect alignment with the barrel. It's all about angles .with the short action of the gun the angles are crucial .With these precision tools a couple of thousandths can make all the difference. BTW I have a Croatian variety that runs in much the same way.
  13. Heck that seems like half the problem right there just looking at that steep angle on the feed ramp makes me wonder how it feeds anything but ball ammo .It would have to be a mighty slick surface for stuff with a flat nose to feed .Not knocking the gun I've been drooling over the emp's for quite a while. My point is see the taper of the bullet on the 1st and 3rd rounds? I bet those two would have more trouble feeding than the 2nd and 4th . With that steep of a ramp. The angle of the bullet entering the breech would have the flat edge of the bullet meeting the barrel's breech sharp edge. if you see what I mean. BTW round # 1 is remington .#2 is corbon,#3 speer gold dot ,#4 Hornady critical defense.(I know that the rounds are .38spl but the point is the bullet shape )
  14. After doing a lil digging and doing a lil math (putting 2 & 2 together) the Walther is deemed unsafe probably because it comes factory with a threaded barrel for a suppressor. I came to that conclusion because "assault" rifles are banned and a threaded barrel is part of their distinguishing characteristics of defining an "assualt" weapon .maybe I dunno?
  15. I think somebody already wrote a song about it the album came with a souvenir But that looks like a highpower
  16. Got any guns to trade for one ???
  17. What does the Stoeger have a button you push and the gun just falls apart? ........I can field strip and reassemble my XD in less than 15 seconds it doesn't get much simpler . Pull back and lock slide, flip the switch on the side depress slide stop/release ,pull trigger and its apart, pop out spring ,slide out barrel your done. it took longer to type it than to do it .
  18. I've had good luck with the federal hollow points bulkpack I got that lil' marlin I gave my boy to group 0.5" at 25 yds ......shooting from a rest of course . I'm lucky to have a 2-3" group standing .
  19. I ran into similar problem last month with my boy .I gave him My Marlin 60 but the stock was too long for him to get decent eye relief for the scope so I cut the stock down and he loves it . If she is really tiny I would not suggest cutting one down to fit .If you take more than say 3-4" of the stock it may really affect the balance of the rifle for her (barrel heavy).I noticed this when after I modified ours .My brother bought the Mossberg 702 plinkster in the "Bantam" model it has a shorter stock .He bought it at Dicks last year on sale for $85 bucks .My niece is 8 but very small for her age and as far as I know she loves it .
  20. On a more in realistic note you pick up Junior from school and he just bought a dime bag off his buddy and you get pulled over and he gets paranoid and dumps his stash under the seat guess what YOU get charged with .
  21. I don't know about the cathouse reason other than you are engaging in an illegal activity so then maybe it becomes a gun crime as well . Such as some kind of felony charge such as "soliciting of prostitution while in possession of a firearm " But I do know that if you are hittin the crack pipe at the kitchen table in a drug house and some one put their chrome plated faux pearl handled Lorcen 9mm on the table because mexican carry rubs em the wrong way while sitting down . You might just be charged with possession of a controlled substance while in the prescence of a firearm which becomes a federal crime and has a minimum sentence of eight years .
  22. Ballistics in different barrel lengths
  23. 1911'S are like a drug after shooting Gunsabalzin's Springer I am hooked .But it will be at least next spring before I can get another gun.I'm still suffering from withdrawals .
  24. What cal./size is your XDm ? And NO!! to the trade unless its more money you have a $500-$600 gun you can find p-11's for around $200 lightly used. BTW unless the gun you mentioned being NIB comes from a dealer its still considered used .So it's actual value is such.Just something to consider when doing a trade.
  25. Wow talking bout digging up bones
